  • This song had a lot of potential....The hook is horrible though!

  • Swaaaag,,,,

  • classic, the mac daddy

  • That same thing can be debated between Biggie Smalls and Tupac, I feel as far as lyrics, Tupac wins hands down. However, Biggie's delivery and smooth flow was unsurpassed. With this current discussion Kriss Kross are only two people. Da Youngsters had four or five if I counted correctly. Which rappers had better lyrics? I heard one of them keep repeating the same phrase but putting it at different parts of his 16 bars. Not too creative with the vocab, but he made it sound good.

  • this is my favorite song by Kriss Kross.

  • People need to stop saying a rapper is better than another rapper because they made "Top Charts" and made more "Album Sells" yall pay too much attention to that rather than skills and techniques.

Call me a hater or whatever you want cause personally I don't give a fuck, and just because I don't agree with (A person is better than that person because he or she has more money than the other) bs don't mean im a hater, its just you are straight up ignorant.

  • @blazedabooth What you're saying about mainstream vs underground is debated under every hip hop video so it's not phasing me. People like you need to admit that undergroud isn't always better. Compared to today's hip hop music, there's a great chance that it is better, but when compared to 90s mainstream, it's not necessarily better. If you were a mainstream hip hop artist in the 90s it meant that you had a broad appeal, as Kris Kross did. A mainstream artist now is a watered down sell out.

  • @princess11222 LOL just because I debate with people about mainstream vs underground doesn't mean my opinion is biased because I like underground rap better than mainstream if a rapper is wack they wack ima say it, and if they are good then I have no problem congradulating them on their skills but when you have these wack ass rappers like they have now im gonna clown them so what. Im not tryna phase you on anything but when you say kids like Kris Kross had talent over Da Youngstas I had to put

  • @princess11222 two sense in it because Kris Kross had that advantage over them with album sells and shit 1. They were commercial 2. Like you said parents felt more comfortable with kids listening to them rather Da Youngstas 3. The industry pushed and promoted their singles and albums better than they did Da Youngstas, why? Because they thought Kris Kross were cute, they had female fans, they had JD Da Youngstas had no one in their corner and they still held it down their music wasn't promoted

  • @princess11222 right, plus certain parts of Philly had beef then some of them wasn't supporting Da Youngstas so there were no wonder why they didn't have "Top Charting Success" listen to Da Youngstas albums I bet you would have a different opinion. You are a fan of Kriss Kross so of course you are gonna defend them but you really haven't gaven da youngstas a chance. My bad for putting so many comment replies its just that we are limited to so little characters to finish stating our opinions.

  • @blazedabooth Well to weigh in on this discussion I'd have to say I like them both and I've only heard two songs from Da Youngstas. bout 10 minutes ago. Good stuff. No bad influence. They're lyrics are party lyrics just like Kriss Kross.

  • @Lionel4482 Well finally somebody who ain't dissin Da Youngstas sayin they are irrelavant to Hip Hop music.

You gave a good comment on this one, but what I was telling her is Da Youngstas crushed Kris Kross lyrically check out that track they got called "Verbal Glock" you would see what im saying then.

Fuck the money lets keep Hip Hop Lyrically like it was.

  • @blazedabooth I feel if you like them both it doesn't matter who is the "better" rapper. Patti Labelle is a better singer than Diana Ross. However, both artists' songs move me in different ways. The same can be applied to this discussion about Da Youngstas and Kriss Kross.

  • @Lionel4482 I feel what you coming from you are a little different than me my opinion is based on lyricism, I didn't like Kris Kross like that because their lyrics wasn't on point like Da Youngstas was but certain tracks they made like "Its A Shame" moved me because they was on that stop the violence movement. I just think da youngstas bars was above theirs in a high level when it comes to the streets and battling most of their tracks they made I could relate to like "Back Stabbers".

  • @blazedabooth

i got all da youngsta's videos on my channel already

    peep em out.

  • @1990spaceghost iight Im definately gonna peep that and subscribe.

  • MY favorite kriss kross song !!!!!

  • how old is he? i want him like a boyfriend when his older :P

  • 0:08 Jermaine Dupree?

  • J.D. Looks like an ugly pirate here...all he need is a parrot lol

  • @TaylorMz09 LMAO!!! hahahaha

  • At least back then they were rolling 62 Impalas with hydros and wires, I'll take that any day over the lifted bubble and box Caprices with 24 inch rims and stupid candy logos on the sides.

  • Now they too old to even sell the crack that mama gave them..

  • Stupid Niggers wasted there money trying to be cool.

  • @runquick1968 Why do you say that??

  • Daddy Mac look like South american

  • yeaaah this song make me fell good when i go to ma school ! when i remember those days ;)

  • Da Youngstas all the way son ! Haha

  • @Germ303 hahahaha foreal da youngstas murdered these niggas

  • @realhiphopman1 How did da youngstas murder these dudes? Nobody has heard of da youngstas and they didn't have chart topping success. Kris Kross is a novelty from the 90s. Da Youngstas = da who?

  • @princess11222 ya stupid b kriss kross is good but youngstas murdered them lyrically.. since when does top chart and media has to do anything with skill.... incase you didnt know jermaine dupri wrote all there songs told them how to dress and yet ripped em of.. kriss kross said it themsleves.. but youngstas was still better

  • @realhiphopman1 I know the story and da youngstas aint better.

  • @princess11222 .... how im just saying.. illegal, da youngstas, shyheim, quo. were all young rap prodigys but doesnt mean kriss kross was the best. all of them oblivously would be better than them. and they all didnt get no attention like kriss kross did.. cause if they did the story would be mad different.

  • @princess11222 Man Kris Kross was corny thun, name something Kriss Kross said was hot, what did Kriss Kross ever say on a track that made people go ohhhh shiit that was fire? U can't cause Kriss Kross was the weakess children crew back in the 90's. Da Youngstas murdered them just like Illegal did.

Only reason why Kriss Kross had "Chart Topping Success" over Da Youngstas was because they were commercial since they started in the rap game, just 2 pretty boys who was making that blow pop shit.

  • @blazedabooth I had never heard of Illegal or Da Youngstas until I started youtubing Kris Kross videos and seeing their names mentionined in the comments. Kris Kross is a novelty from the 90s that everyone remembers and knows, no one has heard of Illegal and Da Youngstas and they did not put their mark on the hip hop game.

  • @princess11222 If you don't know who Da Youngstas are then where were you in the 90's era? You can't be an old head to Hip Hop if you don't know who they are, they from Philly and people down here in North Carolina and in Atlanta know them shit people way in California knows who they are by their music. You have to be young being that Hip Hop is so fucked up now people alot of kids don't even know who Kool G Rap is now, you would have to really go back to know who these rappers are.

  • @blazedabooth From what I've seen of Illegal and Da Youngstas, they just had mediocre tracks covered with hardcore lyrics. They were a bad influence on youth and if I were a parent at that time I wouldn't have let my kids listen to them. You can call Kris Kross pop or pretty boys, but their songs were meant to be catchy and were meant to appeal to youth and it worked. They were also swagged the fuck out for their time.

  • @princess11222 Mediocre tracks? LOL you've had gotten to be kidding me all da youngstas tracks made sense, you must not have heard their track called "Back Stabbers" that track was something everybody could relate to whether you were from the hood or not. And yea they cursed on their songs a few times but growing up in the hood it was nothing for me to hear people using curse words, you gone hear it anyway so what was bad about that? People used those words to express themselve all the time.

  • @blazedabooth actually Da Youngstaz really didn't curse on their tracks until around their 4th album (maybe they're 3rd... but less.) I was fan of both Kris Kross & Da Youngstas & have all of their albums respectively. And lyrically, Da Youngstaz tops them hands down, even with Jermaine Dupri penning their rhymes.

  • @PhellahG I feel you no doubt, Im not hating on Kris Kross it just I couldn't rock wit their music even when I was young na' mean, I guess its just me.

You right they really didn't curse that much but let alot of people here on youtube tell it they had a album full of profanity.

Far as lyrics thats the point I was trying to get to princess11222, Kris Kross lyrics compared to Da Youngstas were like elementary to me.

Thanks for the comment though bruh.

  • @princess11222 If you ask me Kriss Kross were a bad influence on children for wearing their pants backwards thats like an open invitation to their ass if you think about it so whats so "Swagged Out" about that? Jermain Dupri had them cats on some fag shit ma. Ain't gone lie they had some catchy songs but those cats wasn't really good rappers, they would rap and then get on some (Dum Diddy Dum Dum) shit, just listen to em'. Da Youngstas had lyrics for days they had the rap game on lock then.
