yo anyone have had BOTH a gsxr 750 and a r1 1000ccm bike 2007-2011? Im interested in knowing about the power difference.. Is 750 shit or is 1000 too hard to handle? I want a faster bike but I don't know if 1000 is too much.. And do both bikes suck on longer distances? Peace..

@etphonehome2915 Well i've never owned either but common sense indicates several things here. The 750 will not be shit, it will have a good amount of power. The 1000 is not too hard to handle, theres plenty of videos here on mullholland handling 1000's fine, it all depends on how good YOU are. How long have you been riding and what is your current bike? These two factors will make the biggest difference in what you should buy.

Nice to see someone who realizes this is in fact a road and not a racetrack. I'll be out near this road in the summer with my VFR800, and I intend to ride it, but don't intend to drag any knees or anything. I'd rather go home with all my limbs and the paint still on the bike.

@projectcrazy12 I chose a ninja 250 as a starter bike. and let me tell you, it's a very wise decision. i've ridden my friends' bigger bikes (R1, buell lightning) and those are machines that demand a LOT of respect. even starting on a 600 is pushing it.

@430nate. U shud watch a video called thwist of the wrist by keith code, leanin off ur bike makes no impact on how u corner or the speed u get coming out of a corner, its all about the line in and out and hitting that apex

@46mossi let me break it down for you, if you enter a turn at 40mph not leaning off your bike, that means you have to run a lot of lean angle, which can be dangerous. but if you enter a turn at 40mph leaning off your bike, you dont have to run as much lean angle and you still get the same effect, which means if you lean of your bike and run the lean angle that you did wen you werent leaning off, you can enter at higher speeds. what are u gunna tell me next? dragging your knee doesnt matter?
