Maybe you didn't like this version because you didn't see it all the way through, having said that, there's only Judy Garland's version that comes anywhere near this, the old black & white one & Return to Oz, staring Fairuza Balk, didn't even match up to the original story!
Maybe, and you are right, nothing really could come close to "Wizard of Oz" (1925) That is probably more "unique" than this. And don't get me wrong, I give this many points for it's creativity, but I am more of a traditionalist when it comes to the Wizard of Oz. Perhaps one day, I will make the most faithful adaptation to it....
Are you hoping to make the most faithful adaptation of the wiz of Oz? If so, good luck to you, just don't make the same mistake that Timothy Hines made with War of the Worlds,internal monologue should never be spoken out loud by a charecter on screen! ;D
IT IS REALLY GOOD!!! Its AWESOME! with all the basics of the original wiz of oz but like you said... different view! its really long but EVERY minute counts!! they did not waste any time on this movie; you can't get bored. and because of the lenght they get to tell the WHOLE story in detail... 2 tumbs up
Would you mind posting the trailer with the original sound? It was on YouTube at one point but got taken down, and I can't find anyone else who has it.

U have no idea. It's really a three part series, but man...u want a diffrent veiw on the wizard of OZ? The watch it. It's really good. Trust me.
