Nice to see it..or some of it, anyway. ;) Alec has such a great narrative voice and easy wit on stage..and I'm guessing that was Nancy behind Paul, cheering him on. Lovely, indeed. You know what's so sweet as well. Think about it. Smokey Robinson was in the audience who was honored several years back. Paul McCartney covered "You Really Got A Hold On Me" in the Beatles early days and Smokey Robinson became one of many people who did his version of "Yesterday". Isn't that cool.

I thought the idea of talking about how difficult it was for Paul was perfectly executed because there are simply no more words of praise to be said that haven't already been said. But I will add this:
In the Pantheon of stars ... be they actors, singers, dancers and even politicians there at the Kennedy Center and in the rest of the world ... they all know Paul is the Zeus of those who have elevated our world with joy and love.
