We had that car when we went the the usa... it was a V6 but Gee what a perfect car. Everything was perfect about it and even the v6 was fast for that kind of car. It was an Eddie Bauer as well. Love it. You own everyone in that car, also offroad. We have a peugeot 407 2.0 16v and that sound doesn't even come close to this lovely v8

There are subtle differences such as door panels, colors, side steps, and rear seat clearances and a few others. All the explorers within those years are have either the 4.6 3v or 4.0. The 4.6 is rated at 292 bhp. It is real close to the '05 mustang engine expect intake and exhaust. they use the same exhaust for the 4x4 as well as for the 4x2. bogging the 300hp engine to 292

I have a 2008 Ford Explorer V8 as well. This is 0-60 is stock, mine runs the same time as well. Great SUV, serves all your needs! Fun to open up the back while tailgating and let the sound system boom. And when you need it, you can open up the V8 to kick some ricer ass. Fun to use the Explorer and run with the Mustang GTs

I've got a 2007 Limited with a K&N and a Magnaflow Exhaust. It's pretty fast, the only thing that's beat be is and SRT8 Grand Cherokee. I'm sure i'd get smoked by the Porsche or BMW but they never want to race. This guy doesn't even rev his out, I could beat him.

Thats not 100% a way to judge that its not stock. I cant hear it due to the computer that Im on at the moment doesnt have speakers but my 08 Mountaineer will pull it about this fast with the over drive off and no trac control on and its 100% stock. The 5.4 doenst give you an advantage really. Its heavier, only 8 hp more at the fly wheel and you are also driving a vehicle that weighs 5578-5803 lbs depending on 4x2 or 4x4. An Explorer comes in at over 1,000 lbs lighter at 4531lbs.

if you just press it the TSC light will come on and it'll disable it partially and still limit the power, but if u hold it longer until it begins to flash that'll disable it further

The traction control will slow the engine rpm down if it senses wheel spin to prevent accessive spinning, and it really de-accelerates it down pretty good... diabling the traction control lets the engine rev all the way and to the fullest! Turning the O/D off enables the transmission to stay in the lower gears longer for faster acceleration and not switch into OD

thats because your 5.4L is in an expedition (witch is WAY heavier than the explorer), and instead of a 6 speed with 3.55 gears, you have a 5 speed with 3.73 gears. so you have weight, and gearing against you...the gen 4 explorer is VERY fast for only having 292 HP. With headers, an intake, and a cat back exhaust, they will break 330 Hp. You would be barking up the wrong tree trying to mess with one in anything but a "sport SUV" such as a TBSS, SRT8-cherokee, cayanne turbo. FORD does it right.

dude your questioning my knowledge of my own vehicle?...the automatic has 240 hp yes...btu mine is a manual which torque has to be lower for the 5 speed to handle the power so output is boosted to 250 hp and torque is down 20 to 245 ft lb torque...i have an 0-60 vid of my 5 speed pathfinder stock...check it out...
