Hi it's me... the guy who mainly got YouTube so I could comment on videos, my problem with drawing is... if the drawing is already there then I can maybe practice it and make it better but when it comes to making my own characters from scratch (wich I would like to do) I simply can't do it. I normally can tell Japanese Manga from American. American usually Sucks and is weird, and Japanese is AWESOME. But Mark Crilley's art is like the Japanese. IT ROCKS and is way better than some Japanese I've seen .

@17Starz2012 No. The highlights in the eyes should be how they are in this tutorial. The highlights are created when light glares off of the eye. The light usually comes from one direction. The only situations I can see where the highlights would be on opposite sides is if the character is looking directly at a light, or there are lights on either side of the character.

This is such a great reference video - I also get obsessed with the facial feature proportions. If you don't have one yet - it would help to see one where you detail how to alter the facial features as you move from a front symmetrical view to a 3/4 and how to indicate the eyes looking in different directions. I would like to see drawings of more mature female characters. Mature in sense of "teenage maturity" and with a tad stronger sex appeal. Many of your drawings of female characters tend to have a touch of a child about them. Perhaps a bit too much in my opinion, and I think the change would also be good for you.

i think now its more natural to draw more animated anime drawings i just think lots more ppl like it that way but i know u have ur own ways and for the first one it looks like u might be drawing a naruto character considering there more realistic (same for the second one for the naruto thing)...BTW i like the 3rd one the best! oh and the eyes can be bigger than the last drawing...
