  • Well, truth is that this car handles like a dream, I've had the focus, and the astra in my fast-driving hands and the astra is great at handling under high stress-speed situations, whereas the focus will loose a lot of power when understeered.

    The Astra is THE BEST hatchback production "under 15k" car that will ever touch earth.

  • ...I know general motors is american and opel a german car but who gives more contribution for this vehicle?

    I think this car will be one of the best in this class...I love it-opel;-)

  • Cuz its probably a turbocharged version.. as I heard, all of the next generation petrol/diesel engines will be equipped with turbos, and later, with 2 turbos.. Cant wait till the first tryout! I hope this Astra will be out around christmas .. :S OPEL 4 LIFE!!

  • I hope the fixed the chassis and suspension! Handling was the major issue on the current astra compared to the focus. The sound of this astra sounds like a plane! LOL

  • Just to inform ya, the current astra has a quite good handling, and the suspention is also durable and massive.. no need to compare its handling abilities to the focus, not even one rival gets near to the focus (in handling ability).. OPEL 4 LIFE!!

  • nope.. As I heard, the Astra " I " will have ONLY turbocharged engines.. Or this is the Z20leh engine from the current OPC :S OPEL 4 LIFE!!

  • it can be some problem in the steering or suspension , something bad tuned, i dont know

    but i doubt that the sound came from motor

  • or maybe simply the turbo of a TDI engine... But it's strange cause in that case we should hear the engine sound... don't know ! Maybe turbine but I doubt, or like you say electric or hybrid engine, or fuelcell, lots of supositions
