@GODsoccersk8football the front of the propeller should always towards the front of the plane whether it is a pusher or a puller prop design. you don't really have to convert a motor from a pusher to a puller, just reverse the wires so that it turns in the appropriate direction. the only time I have to convert any motor is when the shaft is in the back (i.e. helicopter motors). you will see that in every video I have, my propeller is set up the same way.
@GODsoccersk8football this will only work with a brushless setup. There are 3 wires from the motor to your brushless ESC. Reverse any of the 2 wires and it will change the motor rotation appropriate to the direction that you are mounting it to your plane. If you are new to this hobby, I suggest going to rcgroups.com to learn more. They helped me out a lot
@wildhover thanks a lot bro, and yeah, as u noticed I'm a beginner in this hobby, so I need some guidance cuz no one of my friends is into this so, it's something that I personally like, but hey again, I appreciate your answers.
@GODsoccersk8football no problem. I also suggest going to rcfoamfighters . com/blog/ to find s lot more really good information for beginners. Look at the brushless motor and ESC section to find the correct sized prop for your motor. You can also ask the other team members questions, they are just as friendly
@wildhover I'm sorry to bother you with another question again, but you are actually the only one who has answered my silly questions. Does it really matter if I buy the components of different brands, for example if I buy the servos and the motor in a store but I get the radio in another website of a different brand to try to fit my budget? will the components of different brands will match and work together? do u know? sorry. thanks.
@GODsoccersk8football servos and radio systems are usually all compatible but I suggest getting them as a system to ensure it's compatibility. For example spectrum radio system, Grayson hobbies power system, and servos are usually universal. Go to the site I told you about. They will answer all your questions
@670234 check out Fangar Jim to see his video on how to make the original version of this plane. sorry, but i have too many other projects and don't have the time to make how to vids on this plane
a year ago when i built this plane, a "really big motor" was the welgard 2212/6 that i got from bphobbies. i was upgrading from a 2208 so it felt like it was a "big motor." i found out later that there are a lot of other bigger motors out there like 2217/4's or turnigy 2836's that are twice as powerful. i still use the 2212/6 on most of my builds, it's perfect for park flying which is what i do most of the time.
thanks man. it's easy to upgrade and build planes when your using foam or foam board. balsa is beautiful but would just take forever and frustrate me. with foam, you can literally have a new plane once a month for only $10-$15.
there is a small 2mm space on both sides of the top battery hatch to keep some airflow inside. i have never really had a problem with my esc's overheating in the past.
Great place for the battery, make sure it doesn't move around or else it could really mess up the CG, very sensitive on CG this plane. You have a heavier nose now, hope you don't have trouble setting up the CG.
Looks Awesome Wildhover. Cool, good to see you use your imagination and customize your own design. Hope it flies good for you. Can't wait to see it fly! Looks nicer with all the electronics inside.
thanks! im taking that as a compliment coming from you. the only thing keeping me from finishing it up is waiting for my servos to arrive in the mail. cant wait to see the test flights of your ff22 and ff23 also.
did u have to change the motor from turnergy to pusher or not? cuz I see that the propeller is backward and not in the front?

@wildhover how do I reverse the wires? connected in the opposite outlet you mean?

CAN YOU MAKE A VID ABOUT HOW TO MAKE IT?

Damn...cant wait to see this sucker go.
Do you have any flow of air over the ESC??

no problem with the CG. in fact, im worried that it will still be tail heavy since im getting larger servos to handle the higher speed
