Hey, I'm curious, what music did you use for this (and part 2 as well)? They're quite beautiful, especially this one. (I apologize if they're posted somewhere and I didn't see it, I tried searching).
Amazing art too, I love watching people's progress.
I have a question. :3 How are you able to keep certain groups above and below each other so easily? Like when you're adding the first shading under the hair, but above the skin, did you draw the shading in a separate group, and take it out of its group and put it into the skin group? Or are they in separate groups, and you just have a special way to keep all the groups above and below each other?

Yeah, the hair and skin are in separate groups. Shading, however, is usually done within the same group when it makes sense. Groups can be easily moved above or below by clicking on them and pressing Ctrl + Up / Down
I was watching a horror movie while this page just started playing. The music matched the mood of the movie so perfectly (and it was a music-less creepy part).
Anyways, great vid! It inspires me to draw some line-less ... stuff.
I have a question, what is the advantage of using Flash to draw? I've never known it for anything other than animation, but I realized that you drew most of your pictures in flash so just curious...
When you colour the girl, everything goes opaque except for what you're drawing, then you pass it through her...yet on the timeline (Which looks weird, why?) it doesn't show that you've changed layers. Am I blind or...are you using a trick that you do not know? How do you do that?
what you are seeing is me drawing in a "Group" - it is a simple container that is almost like its own layer, except it can be placed in other groups and transformed as a whole
You are correct - those are other drawings. I don't like having a lot of files to hunt through, so I typically just make use of the timeline to store them.
When this file grows too large, I will probably make a new one named "Artwork 8.fla"

@laidbacktionist he says on his dA he's just used to it, so that's why he draws with it.

WOW. WOWIE WOW WOW, that is very impressive.
Sadly, I still do not know how to draw as well as you. Your video boasts, but doesn't teach. The skills of the gods are, alas, lost to me.

Very awesome! You really are a professional. You should do more of these vids.
Also, did Flash crash at 0:40 ?
SanguisTheVampire 2 years ago
Thanks, i shall try.
and that "crash" is Flash stalling when I tried to save my progress the first time.

Usually I never get past the sketching phase :p (not that I'm good or anything :3 ).
What's with the timeline?
Are those other drawings ^^?
robbe2000 2 years ago
@robbe2000 Nono, Flash is an animating program, so those are unused frames.
