@NebelmaschinenTV First question: Possibly, but probably not. The RAM would need to be upgraded from 512 KB to 1 MB. Second question: The MT-32 has a built-in percussion channel.
@NebelmaschinenTV I must confess, I haven't delved that deeply into the MT-32, so I haven't gone beyond using the standard patches. Last I checked, there were some good websites on the subject, and at least one good librarian/utility program for DOS.
@NebelmaschinenTV Regarding Cubase 2 vs Cubase 3, I can't really say much since I haven't used Cubase 3 on Atari. I will say that I was quite impressed with Cubase 2 - it's both feature-filled and user friendly. I imagine Cubase 3 would be a bit better at some things, but you'd probably want a more powerful machine to run it. If you can find a TT030 or a Falcon, that would certainly be your best bet.

That's excellent, thank you for posting. I still have a working Atari ST, and a Roland MT-32, plus things like Kawai XS-1, and Roland U110...etc. This proves that nothing is "junk" or obsolete, just because it's yesterday's technology, and everything can have a second life, check out all the "circuit bent" stuff on Youtube!
I have been sequencing music for over 15 years, back
in the early days I used a Yamaha PSS-790, I now use a PC with Cubase SX3 but I still use the Yamaha PSS-790, better than some of the lower price keyboards you get today, I now have a Roland SC-88, it also has all the SC-55 sounds. Wish there were more people who used retro midi hardware.
Great song btw. Would you like to share the .mid File? My Roland LAPC-I would love it too! :)

I have 2 questions.

second: where does the drums come from ?

@daev3000: Okay Thanks
do you like more cubase 2 or cubase 3 ?
because im thinking about buying a Atari ST with cubase.
I also have a question about the Roland MT-32
How can you program your own sounds / patches on this thing=?
is there a external programmer ?
Thanks for your fast first answer !

@Penguindog55 I'm probably one of those people...having a PSS-780 (also a wonderful machine with a simple 2-operator FM synthesizer section).
sauermusicDE 1 year ago
I also have other Yamaha keyboards, a PSS-280 that has FM sounds but it doesn't have sound sculpture but it has the ability to layer any 2 sounds.
