i think the movie was great but needed more plot and made lonnger and more charactor history on the remnants although the blu ray version (which i have ) sorta fixes that but not really also i think they could have made sephiroth come back for more than 6 minutes

i give the movie a 3 and a half out of 5

To be honest, SE really shouldve broken the film into episdoes to give room for more choherence. FF7 lore is very strong, but falls back on shitty ideas "I'm not alone" bs. I did enjoy the remnants of Sephiroth however, still all three were very unexplored...

Those are anime websites, not people related in any way to the fanbase of the game. Rotten Tomatoes currently has a 33% for AC, with a common complaint being a lack of a coherent plot.

um you cant really call it a great movie. the plot pretty much sucks and unless u played the game, you wouldnt really understand. i mean it was good eye candy and the presentation and graphics were beautiful but it is far from a great movie. and i think i represent many when i too say this movie was a dissapointment. from the first trailer it looks really good tho. IMO, i really hated how they sped up the fights. i liked the speed in the trailer

2) Cloud acted nothing like he was supposed to. Instead he's the whiny moron from Kingdom Hearts.

3) The characters looking nothing like their conceptual artwork.

4) Stupid looking matrix fights.

5) Lacks any of FFVII's original atmosphere. The city isn't blade runner esque. It has none of the goofiness, and none of the Lovecraft esque horror. Instead it reeks of preteen level angst.

6) Was NOT made for the game's fans, but KH yaoi fangirls.

Second let me address your "reasons" for not liking the movie.

1) There was no lack in story at all for AC. It was very entertaining and closed most of the gaps the original game left open. Only wannabee fanboys like you complain about a problem which isn't present.

2) Cloud is in constant morning of Aerith, which he thinks was his fault. He has a form of Cancer. He's watching people DIE from this Cancer. Need I say more?

1) A series of fights with bad dialog does not make a good story. Trust me, I'm no "wannabee" fanboy, fanboys are fucking stupid.

2) ORLY? Notice how in the real FFVII, he doesn't whine nor weep for Aeris' death, but use it as a reason to strive forward and defeat Sephiroth.

5) Think of what is happening during this part of the story. The world is left without an energy source. A plegue is reaking havok on the world. Children are dieing. Gaia was recently attacked by a GIANT METEOR! I can't imagine a happy go lucky atmosphere, can you? (For the record, your fifth reason was idiotic.)

5) The cancer shit was stupid. Jenova in the life stream? You kill her before she can reach the lifestream, and you murder Sephiroth. There was no need for a sequel.

Also, without an energy source? Nothing about the lifestream attacking meteor means that it's all fucking gone. Shinra being all LOL WE'RE GOOD NOW didn't make any fucking sense.

The charts, polls, and opinions of the FF fans say that the majority of the people enjoyed AC. ANN gave it 8.920, MAL gave it 8.59, The average rating of the Gaming sites was a 8.93. It seems like you lost. Most people (Close to 90%) liked Advent children. Statistics, show me yours..

they took it out of the dvd one, and now after crisis, they put all the delited scenes back in, and made ff VII advent childreen complete

what's the difference between this trailer and the actual movie? example, the trees where cloud is to save the children was glowing, in the actual movie. but in this trailer, the trees were not glowing. i don't get it.

this trailer was a really REALLY early version of the film and so by the time the film came out which was like a century later, they added alot more to it.
