"Hollywood Hogan was a grimey, dirty, cheating, two timing heel, and an effective one. He made people believe his ego was so huge, that he really was the character he portrayed on TV."
Well, a lot of that was fact. He was the person he portrayed as Hollywood Hogan, because even as the Real American hero proclaiming Hulkamania, his ego was huge & he was given a contract giving him sole ownership & control over the direction of his character. That ego made him no-sell to practically everyone.
@86Stooy yes he was mate, easily. vince was part of the biggest feud is pro wrestling - boss (vince) vs austin (employee). hogan was the main guy in nwo (hogan, hall & nash) vs wcw - without hogan no way would nwo have kicked off and become so effective. i'm not a fan of hogan, in fact i hate him. but there is no denying he was a bad ass as the leader of the nwo. my ranking was in accordance to how effective the overall angle and protagonist were. however just based on promos, hbk wins. rock 2.
@asifmiah1 Agreed with everything said in this post. Hollywood Hogan was a grimey, dirty, cheating, two timing heel, and an effective one. He made people believe his ego was so huge, that he really was the character he portrayed on TV. He got more trash thrown on him then any other wrestler, and was just flat out grimey, to go as so far as to hock his nasty spit wads on the camera. Vince was a great heel no doubt,, but I agree that HBK and Rock are the best promo guys.
@asifmiah1: No. Nash & Hall (formerly Diesel & Razor) were--and are--the nWo. They started it actually as part of the Kliq with soon-to-be degenerates HBK & HHH w/ Chyna (along with X-Pac) well before either rebellious group--nWo & DX--began, because those two groups came out of the Kliq. In fact, they started the nWo concept before Hogan gave up Hulkamania & joined the Outsiders.
