Top Comments: "I can't imagine how high everybody was". No, what you can't imagine is the strength of the music scene and how much live music there was out there, just like any other major public work network. Now, in America, there might be more drug dealers than professional musicians. What got me was seeing the keyboardist looking so young, someone I jammed with in the seventies in a Niagara Falls, N.Y., jazz bar. If you notice, Sanatana hardly looks at his guitar. That's not acid working.
You know they say that Carlos took acid before this, and he was imagining the neck of his guitar bending and slithering like a snake, and he was trying to hold on to it with all his strength. Yet, he still managed to pull of the solo...nice.
@Bcool1978 Santana admited he has high in that concert. That´s why he is doing those faces. He said the guitar looked like a snake trying to run away.
@Lorenita4294 I will :) We will drop some acid and just let it go :D. Btw i have to try play on acid but now its too hard to get true one :D bromodragonfly is not the same :/.
It was real music, the good old days .. Why are we all turned to shit like justin bieber, lady gaga and so many other assholes .... FUCK !! It is time to return to the real music and especially the real artists !!!!

I was 17, and was right in front of stage behind wooden fence. The congo drum player was right in front of me. Best experience I ever had listening to live music. So, close the music went through my whole body, not just into my ear. The hair on the back of my neck stood up.
I hate how music has evolved in the past 15 years. I wish i were alive to be around when this kind of music was thriving unlike the soulless crap produced by a majority of "artists" today. Truly amazing performance from a truly amazing band from the greatest musical era in history.
The Santana Blues Band consisted of Carlos Santana, David Brown (bass) Greg Rolie (keyboard) ,originally Mike Livingston but soon replaced by Mike Shrieve (Drums), Jose "Chepito" Areas (percussion), and Michael Carabello (percussion). That's the band you see in this video.
I first heard Carlos Santana in Fall of '67 when he and the band came to San Francisco State and performed on Friday afternoons for about a 90 minute set. He wanted to educate us about the music that was happening in San Francisco's Mission District. We learned quick, our minds blown. The Santana band went on to Woodstock and blew the minds of a half a million people then and probably a billion since then.
My life is ruined. I just saw a video including Carlos Santana. He played a beatles cover (Let It Be) together with... Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
