Some would say most of those bands were riding the wave created by even better bands, onwards downwards until we get to delta blues and gospel which really is the best music ever. Having said that I really like this band, I love all three of them. JPJ is a musical genius...

While the bands you mentioned are classic, most are no better than Black Keys, or White Stripes, or Animal Collective, or Death Cab for Cutie, or Wolfmother, or The Raconteurs, and I could keep going with modern classics. Wake up. Yes, the 90's was a hole musically. We've been out of the hole for years. Some great music being made in last half of the decade.

Yes those two are great power bands, but you'll see, this band here will make one album and tour one year then never be heard of again. And are you kidding me, you want modern legends? Joe bonamassa for one. White stripes are horrible, I can't believe you even included them in that list. DCFC is pretty shitty IMO... Well all bands anymore are. The talent is left in the 70's.

Anymore the record industry is who I blame. You have to have a hit song that EVERYONE will love. Back in the 70's bands had opportunities to make various albums before getting cut. Some of my favorite bands didn't have "great songs' until their 3rd and 4th album. Anymore all bands who are signed and get there 15 minutes of fame on the radio and then the record industry is looking for the next best thing. Its not about bands anymore, its about greedy executives.

The "record industry" is a non-issue because of indie labels, indie websites, downloads etc. That's why you're getting good music once again. You just have to look for it. And White Stripes absolutely rival anything CCR did. Check Stripes doing their version of Outlaw Blues. Kills anything CCR did. You need to stop listening to the radio and try to research yourself. Check Ben Iver, Clutch and Fleet Foxes. Those rival 70's art. I don't think this trio (Vultures) care about selling albums anymore

What I've heard is 23rd of october, but it could be the fake flyer thing. The show was AWESOME by the way!! It pretty much sounds like the queens of the stone age, maybe even better.. big sounds, long and winding songs and a nice stage performance. JPJ fits the band perfectly, on top of erverything!
