I acutally found a glitch in this video, but you have to watch carefully.

At 2:03 when the Shield Pirate Trooper is killed by the PED Marine, it looked like the pirate was killed by the Plasma Beam, not the Phazon Beam. Its easier to see when Samus gets closer.

It may not be a glitch. As I understand it the GF develops the PED technology during the one month timeskip a little later in the game.

As of right now the GF shouldn't have any PED tech. The art department may have put in the wrong GF marine sprite though.
