Hi Bob! I just wanted to take a second and tell you thanks for all the great info that you pass on to us wantabies. I injoy every one of your vids. I will be getting one of those Ridgid I spy things soon only because you have one. It will be great due to we are doing our own home remodle and we just found out this house never had a final done. No telling what we will find in the walls. Thanks again and keep the vids coming.....Steve
I must confess that I've used a keyed chuck and a keyless and I have yet to have a keyed chuck slip. I cannot say the same for keyless chucks. I find they slip depending on the operation and it is very annoying. I have two drills with keyed chucks and yes it's a pain but I never have a slip of the bit.
im looking to buy some new tools i have loads of money so i can afford most stuff i just want my money to be worth it what brand do you recomend is best im told dewalt is the best and most of my m8s use there tools is this what you would recomend?
Most people in trade will tell you most brand names have some great tools and some dogs.I would'nt buy a tool by brand name only,I talk to my associates about specific tool i am looking for and ask how they like theirs.Sorry if this was'nt much help---Bob
I would tend to agree on that. I have not been that impressed with Dewalt. Of all the tool companies, I've found Porter Cable tough as nails but fairly featureless as compared to others. I've tried Makita, Bosch, etc and have a variety and it really does depend on the tool you want.
@Moe7133 I would stay away from anything from DE-WONT...i mean Dewalt. If you want quality even a low, low, low end porter cable is better than Dewalt.. I would look at Hilti 36 volt
Good.... Cool tools...and info..

Too many people looking for quality power tools ask "Makita or Dewalt?" when they should be asking "Hilti or Metabo?"

Bosch 36 volt lithium ion is also very good, and Makita have just released an SDS+ 36 volt with more to come

Well if you want power and cordless, I would recommend Dewalt 36V Lithium-ion Nano tech.
