  • when he says shoot at six o clock is that AM or PM because that is too early to be shooting

  • awsome

  • this is awsome

  • Blow job componsater

  • 200m and 385m long range?

  • Thank you very much for this knowledge!

  • Is that Louis c.k?

  • Too much useless instructions and opinions.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! WHATS A BDC???? LMAO

  • @maxdura007 Battle drop compensator. Its the little hash marks on a turret. The thing that makes a BDC different than the factory hash marks on a scope, is that a BDC is calibrated to YOUR rifle, with YOUR zero. Consider this, you shoot in wind, or shoot in a different area, with higher elevation, temperature, etc. As you are shooting you find you need to make many minor adjustments. To make those adjustments you must first return to your original zero.

  • @ELITEHAMSTER123 i know what it is. was just pokin at the guy in the vid who had to ask. myself, i prefer a mil type reticle, such as a mil dot, mlr reticle from nightforce, or the razor ebr-2. bdc reticles imho, are junk. only work with one load, in one kinda condition. get a mil reticle, learn how to use it. and get a scope with some sort of zero stop. oh, what is a dattle drop comp? you mean a ballistic drop compensator right?

  • @maxdura007 whoops, lol, didnt catch that. :P

  • However, you may not know how many times you rotated the turret, or forgot the settings zero was on. The BDC counts the clicks, and allows you to return to zero quickly, and most importantly, accurately.

  • i have a question why does it matter if your gun isnt pointing down range?

  • @ajsk8r99 Incase you shoot someone? (I don't know anything about this type of thing so excuse me if i was being captain obvious)

  • @IsaacDeano93 haha i mean when they were switching targets hold the gun with the inside of their palm, walking with it like that

  • @ajsk8r99 that's just as dangerous. most people don't keep their finger straight until they are ready to fire and that increases the chance of an accidental discharge which would be pointed down and cause fragmentation that could hit someone. Or it hits someone's foot.

  • that guy sounds like Raymond!

  • i think the video title is wrong for this type of video.. it should be more like how to do compeition shooting or compeition shooting tips or what ever. not how to shoot long range rifle

  • yawn.... just pull the bloody trigger!

  • what do you mean by shooting at 6 o'clock? i shoot a lot but i have never understood what people meant by it

  • @sweetswantonbombs i think he means like shoot at the botem of the target .. because it will be shootin high so u dont want to shoot over the top

  • @delianeal Sure buddy..

  • whats his rifle?

  • pssshhht.. im so tired of competition shooting. Teach me something useful.

  • @swede6666 he said "lotsa people...." not Black people, LOL.

  • i hate the kneeling position so much =.=

  • Sorry mate but from what I know long range shooting starts from 600m. I like your vid because you are talking metric. Any desent rifle can shoot out well beyond 200m. This is the problem with most hunters. They will only take shots at a stones throw. Good luck and happy hunting.

  • @trueblueozzy

Can you throw a stone 200m?

  • @swede6666 So?

  • the range is at Rio Salado sportsman's club at Usery Pass in Mesa

  • where is the location of this range?

  • ipod app, not iphone, right? and what ipods are capable of getting the app?

  • Kel has a 2d gen iPod Touch - the calculator doesn't need wifi to work (not much wifi at the range . . .)

I guess any iPod Touch 2d gen and newer should be fine. . .

  • an app for IPOD COOL I WANT IT!!! is it free or do you have to pay for it cause that could help alot man.

  • it's called "iSnipe" and it's about $5 - I think it's based off some of the sophisticated ballistic calculators the Army uses. . .

  • @delianeal Its based on the Horus software. (I know this is a 1 year comment)

  • it sounds like that to me...

  • but a lot of ppl like to shoot right to left is what i think he said

  • Kelly, I just found your videos and they're excellent! Thanks for continuing to post them.

  • At 8:30 do you literally mean you wait until your sights are settled (as much as it can be)? Or do you approach shoot the targets?

  • I don't mean that the sights have to be perfectly still on the target. Approach shooting (firing as the reticle moves to the center of the target) is fine BUT requires a good deal of trigger control. What I was trying to articulate is that the shooter must get an acceptable sight picture for the level of target difficulty presented and should not just blaze away. Typically for me I like to see the sight just "settle" before firing. FOR ME it is more reliable than the approach technique.
