Movie is a bit preachy, except for the segment of Meryl talking with her news editor. That single segment is worth the price of admission!!! The actor who plays the student Robert Redford pushes to get involved in current events is just AWFUL. I don't know how this kid ever got the role. But, Meryl is great and so is Tom Cruise as the creepy, Republican up-and-coming senator who wants to win the war using "whatever it takes." See it.

Celebrities don't like the war because they are more global-minded than your average American. Tom Cruise and his ilk need China, Germany, and France to like them because they make and keep a lot of money there. They must walk in neutrality. Their loyalties are not with any government. They are Capitalists, who do not want to pay taxes. These people do not care about our soldiers, freedom, someone's right to vote, or some Iraqi civilian. They really aren't that deep.
