If you're still rank 3, experiment with both while they're cheap! Run a few DPs with a dagger composite build, and a sword one. You'll get a good feeling for what you like best, over time =]. Everyone's going to have different tastes and standards, and methods.

While blasting eachother with skills, swords won marginally. I can make a video of that in the impending future; but it won't be for a while.

In every test, pure basic attacks yielded that dirks did better damage with pure basic attacks with and without assassin impact. Results varied in a small margin, but were close overall to the same every time. Test it yourself in a similar way before going off assumption - the video above was the product of my testing.

Ah that explains it, I played a cleric and fighter n E3, no strider. I figure they changed it after adding soul stones in E4, would have unbalanced game tohave sins deal uber damage due to insane agi.

No, this is not the case!! Buffed or unbuffed, dagger is superior to swords in basic attacks with or without assassin impact or buffs from other classes. Swords though, do superior damage when used with skills; such as deadly dancing, apocalypse, dark strike, all stuns, etc. That's all I'm stating on that argument. In DPs, it's hard to say which is better - it depends on how much you're spamming skills, I suppose. A matter of build and preference is all it really is.

Both level 1, +0, Rank 2 weapons. Damage also is not static - it's rolled for each hit. Some hits are inevitably going to be a bit closer than others.
