  • Guidance is a gift from GOD Almighty, and indeed He doesn't guide the unjust people, and indeed arrogance is one of main sources of unjustice, no matter how many signs and knowledge a person could get, without a true call and prayer for guidance with submission to ALLAH and aknowledgement of the littel knowledge we have..guidance..earn it..

  • the first followers of jesus who were thrown to lions in stadium in Rome where truly Muslims. Muslims need to realize that persecution of Muslims is every old.

  • Sure Allah wants you to question and not be apathetic. After all he did give us emotions and intellect. Heck, a lot of reverts would have never had come to Islam if they hadn't questioned their purpose of existence.

  • how fool is the christians. They don't follow bible they follow Churches.they say 1+1+1=1.

  • dont fall into disbeleif, learn about islam. "Hopelessness is a sign of a disbeliever" (Quran) find out which verse and chapter for yourself

  • the essential question seems to be: is there a god? if yes, is he the islamic god and is islam the true religion?

it seems very unlikely that i can honestly answer both these questions after studying for years abt science, history, philosophy and religion, and still remain a muslim.

i am honestly looking for someone who can convince me if islam is a true religion or if ANY religion holds any truth. id love to believe. it wud mke my life a lot esier prcticaly.bt ud have to convince me logicaly

  • @MrAudy86 logically: for every beginning there is an end; for every creation there is a creator. Islam is a way of life--pure, without any contradictions. I was born into a Muslim family and had my doubts; run-ins with the darker side of life and now at age 25 I came to the realization that instead of learning about Islam I would just use the misconceptions to my advantage, which is mere arrogance. Although I was born into a Muslim family, I still consider myself a new Muslim.

  • @gardengrowsevenonefo no that was not the case with me. i was very religious. and it was NOT arrogance that led me out of it. i came across a hadith which roughly went sth like 'if you deliberately choose to misunderstand the truth, its a sign of jahaalat'.

i just tried to make sure everytime that whatever im considering as being the 'truth' i must only decide that after rigorous UNBIASED investigation, and muster up the courage to conclude honestly wether i likd the reslts or not

  • @gardengrowsevenonefo (contd.) ..paradoxically, the search for the truth itself let me out of it. and its not just islam. the whole idea or organised religion desperately lack evidence for its claims...

now, if one follows these beliefs personally, thts just all right..but as a COMMUNAL belief system OBLIGATORY on everybody, is too harsh and many aspects of it should not be tolerated.

blasphemy for instance. if a muslim denounces his religion, by islamic law, he is to be executed!

  • @MrAudy86 watch a lecture called "What do you really know about Islam" by Sheikh Khalid Yasin .... Im not going to say it will remove all your questions but it will help you with your search for sure /watch?v=fdBiGGj7KJ4 if Allah put us human beings on earth why wouldnt he give us a set of rules of live by ? and of course protect us, grant us security and other thing is yes people will follow the rules by themselves but those who dont, (cont....)

  • @MrAudy86 (cont....) who dont follow the correct path suppose they steal, well they need to be punished dont they ? To protect those who earn lawfully from those who steal .... the punishment ( cutting of the hand ) will stop the person from committing the crime if he doesnt have fear of Allah he will have fear of the punishment, so it exists at the state level to have proper regulation and protection and so that criminals fear even in this life (contd...)

  • @MrAudy86 (contd...) Secondly Allah says His biggest blessing upon you is that you were born into a muslim family by His will. Think of that, deny Islam is denying Allahs biggest blessing. Also think about and yes do make sure you know Islam correctly, with an open and sincere mind. Youll realise how beautiful your religion is. Here is another beauty of it, think of Zakat (charity) its there to prevent poverty and thus crime so in an Islamic system people who are poor are taken care of BY LAW !!

  • @MrAudy86 since you prefaced your entry to this boards by mentioning that you are a Doctor and you have studied science therefore you are not convinced about Islam. I introduce myself, I am also a Doctor and before my medical degree I have studied physics and I was an electronic engineer for several years. I too have studied sciences extensively. Unlike you, I was born in a family that's half jewish and half christian. 2 years ago, after 7 years of extensive studies of Islam I reverted.

  • @MrAudy86 Your problem is adapting western philosophy and western thoughts to life and therefore it had clouded your sense or right and wrong. Just because a majority of people hold certain values to be true does not mean that they are. "folies a deux" can also be "folies a millions"..I invite you to read Sane Society by a erich fromm and you might understand the fallacies of your reasoning.

  • @MrAudy86 BTW, you seem to have denounced your Islam and you still walking and talking, so you have just contradicted your statement. No such a good start for someone who started by talking about his credentials.

  • @glower125 thanks for the effort in replying, but apart from telling me that im wrong n ur right and that ur also a doctor...u didnt really give any reasons so...sorry...not impressed..

  • @MrAudy86 well I guess you have already convinced yourself. Nothing will I or anyone else have much to tell you. Your questions have been answered by many people and frankly they are more of the primitive type when it comes to theological enquiry.

  • @glower125 again, all you said was that my questions are a bit cliched and no reasoning there again.i agree they are fundamental and essential questions, but i also must insist they remain unanswered by any religion, not just islam. so i guess theyll remain unanswered still..

  • Hi

I was born a muslim. offically i still am one. im a doctor. I know about science. How it works. how much we know. how much we CAN know. I used to be really religious a few years ago. that is also partly why i chose to be a doctor. but i just hold honesty very important. ive studied islam a lot, science, philosophy. religion just doesnt seem to be true. im not arguing weather it is 'good' or not... but just about the veracity of it. that is the essential question.

  • Muhammed (pbuh) gave the best and most honest example of a person, the Quran is his proof. Never doubt Islam or you will be a kafir, its less sinful to be a Fajir (a sinner in faith) then to be a good person whilst disbeliving in Allah (Kafir). @MrAudy86

  • @MrAudy86 Muhammed (pbuh) gave the best and most honest example of a person, the Quran is his proof. Never doubt Islam or you will be a kafir, its less sinful to be a Fajir (a sinner in faith) then to be a good person whilst disbeliving in Allah (Kafir).

  • I testify that there is none worthy to be worshipped BUT the ONE GOD ALMIGHTY (ALLAH)

I testify that Mohammed was a Messinger & Prophet. I testify that Moses, Adam, Noah Jonah, David, Solomon, AND JESUS were Messingers/Prophets.

  • I was raised a Christian,My father &3 uncles are ordained ministers(1 a missionary 2 Muslims)grandparents were missionaries.I went to christian school al my life,catechism (=theology of christiandome)on weds(protestant Presbyterian).

I met a few muslims thought i could convert them.After~3 years of TRUEstudying Islam&Chr.my life changed,I was now praying to the ONE Jeesus prayed to :D Submitting my will to the ONE Jesus submitted his will to, I was a Muslim :D

    He reinforced my beliefs today

  • Wow. This guy has knowledge. God bless.

  • nice beard man

  • there is also a case in bible where a wamen with her ill child came to him so that her child would b heeled but jesus pbuh refuses and said his deciples "do not throw breads of the children in front of a dog rather go to the lost ship of house of israel"

  • the main pt is Jesus clearly mention i hav ben sent not but for the lost ship of house of israel . same thing is mention in Qur an that jesus pbuh was sent for the children of israel. and practicly there was not a single non jew whome jesus pbuh preeched & a sngle non jew who embraced his religion at his time bcoz his message were only for children of israel.

  • The books of Josephus were found to be fraudulent in the date of their creation.

  • Mashallah

  • also try Mark ch. 16 vr.15-18 Luke ch.24 vr. 44-49

  • Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.

This is my big problem with preachers christian, muslem,or whoever, They build a tower out of a verse and they people follow. Read!

  • When Jesus says go ye therefore to the nations i beleive He meant the 12 nations of Israel and He chose exactly 12 disciples , one for each nation or tribe.

  • yes he is a revert to Islam.I love this guy he is very educated and calm and he speaks about both Islam and Christanity without any hateful words.I have listened to all his talks and i am going to buy some of his books.

  • Yeah, he has a masters of divinity from Harvard University, very renowned and educated guy.

  • is this guy a convert to islam?

  • yes, alhamdulilah

  • I believed what he says about the bible and the koran.. because like Bart Ehrman said there are lots of contradiction in the bible and many verses insertion by the poeple..

    salaam to you bro..

  • He holds a Master's degree in Divinity from Harvard University and a Doctorate in Psychology from the University of Denver.

  • The problem is that the word "trinity" isn't found in the Bible. Lo and behold! it is found in the Qur'an.

  • No it is not a problem the word trinity is just a word used to refer to the 3 persons of god which are revealed in scripture Mathew:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy spirit. The word trinity to refer to this was first coined by Theophilus of Antioch in 170 AD

  • it is not found in the Qur'an, it's meaning is reffered to in the Qur'an but it isn't found in the Qur'an

  • @heitglas If u read Quran...U will see the reason why trinity is mentioned in Quran...It is to point out the mistake the people of the book committed in their belief of God - The Trinity!!...so there is nothing in quran which supports trinity but rather goes against it by completely criticizing the biggest misconception ever committed in the history of mankind!!

  • "God has not always been Father; there was a moment when he was alone, and was not yet Father: later he became so. The Son is not from eternity; he came from nothing"

    -Arius

  • may Allah bless all those you were involved in one way or another for making this information possible for people all over the world, selam

  • Yep Trinity is a stretch and that is why Allah says to desist from the Trinity and call him only one

  • mashalla excellent video
