  • This is a political message to our founding fathers of how bad we've messed up our country and strayed so far from our constitution with the wars, hence the helicopter and the drums like a marching army and the loud parts like bombs going off. Although its nice to see people thinking about their actual dads it would be nicer to see that people could actually think deeper about stuff regardless the title of something.

  • @MercadoKR I think to some, this song is about their fathers. Maybe to you its about the founding fathers but most prefer thinking about their dads. How did you get that it was about the FF, the title? So just let people think how they want too. If this song reminds them of their father. And if you haven't listened to most EITS songs, they for the most part have loud parts. It's nice that you interpret this differently but to me, this song is about my father.

  • i remembered commenting here once.

whether or not your dad is an ass, the kind of person you want to be and where you wish to end up in life is your choice.

happiness is a choice. take it. :D

  • My dad just aint a father either, hes a legend

    a MUTHAH FUCKIN LEGEND!

  • My dad just yelled at me for listening to this song too loud. He didn't know I was thinking of him the entire time

  • this is amazing

  • EITS is an awesome band. Saw them perform in the cleared out surfboard area of Soundwaves in Houston a few years back. They didn't play long, but it was awesome.

  • @TAPOUT1024 Call you father now. Seriously, don't you hesitate another second.

  • I've only seen my father once.

    I'm 17.

  • I havent talked to my dad since 2004......i miss him and want to contact him but i feel like its been to long and any connection we had is gone................................

  • @TAPOUT1024 call him.. or forever regret for not calling him.

  • is this what its like to do heroin? Man no wonder people do it xD

  • I'm sorry for everyone who has, or thinks, they have a bad father.

My Dad is the greatest person who ever walked on this earth.

  • @MrBethlol Aw, why don't you write book about it? Here's a tip dude; if you want to show your sympathy to those peoples fathers you mentioned, bragging about how great your dad is is not the best idea...

  • isto é no Brasil !! :D adoro a bateria dessa música!

  • Lets not make this a pity fight. You people arn't your fathers. You have no idea what they've been through or what they have done for you. I'm not trying to be mean, and most of you will deny that your fathers did anything for you, but please, just listen to the song and keep your thoughts to yourself.

  • my dads a fucking dick

  • My dad died of cancer when I was only seven. I barely remember him. Listening to this song makes me feel like I know him a bit more.

  • As a dad, I wish I could help in some way. Keep listening to the music, and don't make the same mistakes they made.

  • Well lucky you guys, my father is a complete mess..

  • never give up... your dads are always watching

  • My dad left my mother and I when I was 3 months old. He never sent her money, called, or came to see me, and she never asked, never complained to me. My mother dropped out of college picked up two full time jobs to raise me and keep me located in a good neighborhood, she worked seven days a week for over 4 years while I was a teenager. She lived and breathed for me for over a decade. I am now a chemistry grad student. For this I thank you father, for letting the greatest woman I know raise me.

  • @Ryukolink and one more thing... I love you mom.

  • @Ryukolink

Since my dad died during the summer, i have to help my 9 year old brother with the homework i never had in elementary,my dad was the "expert" at math is what you would call him at the time, my mom raises to selfish,no shit, kids,me and my brother. If you ask me its pointless,i survived without a dad for 4 years, when i was 3,my dad walked out on us,He never called,he never sent flowers, dramatic shit,he came back when i was 5 leaving us no other option to hate him.

  • @Ryukolink But we soon grew to love him,in a week, He left to join the army without telling us.when he died,he left me and my mother to suffer in depression, but my little brother had the worst effect, silence, always talking about death, i wish there was away to fix him,he is only 9, all those years he was here,he taught us a lesson,to never give up,if we did something wrong,we would just instantly give up, But my mom took the role, and she is what got us back on our feet. Thanks dad for everything.

  • My dad died in my hands,my mother's,and my brother, I have gone into depression praying to god to give him a second chance,My mom has been a lot more silent without him. He was the one that brighten are day,but without him, everyday i see in California is so dark and gloomy. He was a sergeant in the army, and some of the soldiers referred to him as "Pa". Im 17 now,he died 2 weeks before my b-day,but life for me has yet to get good. I love you dad

Rest in piece My father Tony Sahagun,I miss you....

  • Life was a little better with you dad

Now, I could be happier with you, I need you by my side, I'm into depression and if you were here it could be less painful

    I miss you dad

  • google rainymood, first link i play it with all EIS songs

  • my dad's alive, and i hate his fucking guts

  • Love it so much I made a remix of it :3

  • @STUKAMIKAZE

It takes time to heal. Dont give up hope. Things will get better, might like seem like it for a while, but it will. :) I hope that in your sitiuation it will. I pray strength over you. Ok wow i sound cheesy, im sorry if i offended u in anyway with the whole God and pray thing. Some people get touchy about that. But I mean the best intentions. :)

  • @STUKAMIKAZE

It is possible. I never knew or remember my dad, I can never imagine what it must of felt like to exprience that. Im truly sorry. Idk if you believe in God or not, and it might sound cheesy but He can and will prevail in your situation. I have firsthand exprience in saying that it will and can get better, with God on your side. After my dad death my mom went off on the deep end, very depressed, suicidal, drunk for all my childhood. For yrs i prayed, shes been sober for 7 yrs. :)

  • I know I'm just adding to the list. Well, my father died when I was 2. Very unexpected and random. He had a heart condition no one knew about, including himself. He had a heart attack during my older brother's basketball practice, my dad being the coach. He died on the court. My brother was the last to see him alive, he was only 7. My brother hasnt played basketball ever since. Yeah my childhood was rough, but God prevailed. My dad loved and cherishd us, i look forward to seeing him in heaven.

  • .... EPIC... THIS IS THE WORDS FOR THIS SONG <3 Respect from Italy

  • This bass line makes my blood ripple and pulse to the beat, of which reminds me of a Modest Mouse tone.. The music gods blessed us with both EitS and MM.

  • love you dad

  • Audio for this and sound down for this: watch?v=K908wGhF5ko

  • words will never describe this song

  • to the father i never had a chance to meet <3

  • @ttrriiixxx

    you and me both

  • the last thing i ever said to my dad was "i'll see you tomorrow." i wish he could see me now...

    cherish your fathers

  • @MrYouremyhero I'm very sorry to hear that bud.

  • @MrYouremyhero same thing that happened to me... took him to the hospital for a common check up and he never got back... it's already 6 years, but it keeps hurting.

love your fathers and forgive their mistakes

  • @MrYouremyhero never had a father but sorry for your loss and I'm sure he was a very special person.

  • Reminds me of modest mouse when they were at their pique

  • My dad was born in Cuba. He left Cuba on a boat, to escape Castro's communist regime and to help me, my brother and my mom have a better life in the United States. I was only 1 month when he left me. Fortunately, he made his trip to Cuba safely and after a year he brought me, my mom, and my brother on plane to the U.S. My dad was willing to sacrifice his life for me and that's why I'm grateful of him.

  • i don't want to study anymore...

  • this song of explosions in the sky is awesome, its a shame that the video is not. just a neggative effect and steady cam on a traveling.

  • killer tune.

  • It's my fathers birthday today. He believes I don't care about him more then my friends. He'll never be more wrong.

  • @Maninamask726 its funny that people act so sensitive on eits videos

  • @mguygh why do you think so? Are you sure if you're listening them, or they're background musicians for you while you're havin fun? I think you've not listened the part that starts at 2:58, or you have no scar in your heart. Underestimating people's emotion doesn't give you even a shit, and please don't listen eits if you don't feel anything.

  • I'm a metalhead mainly, but i heard one these guys song on an MMA highlight video and these guys make epic songs, especially for highlights. Makes me reminisce of the old Pride FC days.

  • I'm so proud of my father! He managed to escape the war just in time before the Khmer Rouge arrived. He came to Canada, alone, poor, at the age of 19, and he could barely speak the language. He stayed positive and happy even though he was left alone. Now, he lives very happily with the family and we live very well. I'm so proud of my dad, he's awesome, funny, kind, I love him... :)

  • The effect used makes the world look fake, or made of paper. It's really beautiful.

  • I loooooooooooooove this.

  • I love my Father! maybe I should tell him once in a while.

  • Amazing how the first song from their first album ends up being one of my favorite songs of theirs. I can't believe anyone (including the Explosions guys) could ever dislike this song or album! It's bloody amazing! The bass is so slick and laid back, love it!!

  • Wha the fuck is CTFXC?

  • I certainly like this quite a bit more than future EITS (which is good, but get old fast with most songs being basically the same).

  • WAY THE GO CHARLES!! CTFXC FTW!!

  • YeEEEAAAAHAHAHAHAHHHH!!!!!

  • I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss. I lost my father March of last year & unfortunately, as people, we don't get to see the ones we've lost in physical form again until we as well join the spiritual realm of existence/consciousness... But hang in there friend, cus it only gets easier as time passes & new oppurtunities arise. Find healthy outlets for your feelings before you find yourself unsure of what your purpose is in life, cus you deserve so much more. <3 Much loveee & God bless(:

  • Nigdy się nie znudzi.

  • hoah

  • Genial el tema lo estaba buscando desde 6 años desde que lo escuche en una serie y no sabia de quien era hasta hoy :D

  • I love my dad, I couldn't live without him around me, so listenig to this song is really touching.

  • if I were a billionaire, I'd pay for explosions to perform for me and my friends like once a week.

  • @gdlavery ide just have them follow me around and play the soundtrack to my life. That is if i were a billionaire.

  • can't get enough of this song

  • all these comments are about people and their dead fathers, which makes my dad sitting right next to me much more appreciated

  • Comment removed

  • Although I may not have lost my father, listening to this song makes me think of how much different life would be if he was gone today. It makes me appreciate all that he has done for me and how much he loves me. Losing my grandfather was hard enough as is, I don't know how I am going to keep living without a father someday.

    I love you dad.

  • my father died at home 2 weeks ago. he died in our arms. it was a hard experience, but it was the best that we could stay at his side. i miss him very much, but this music reminds me on happier days in my life. i am 19. i feel terrible for almost 16 days. 2 or 3 days after his death i thought about commiting suicide, but it wont help. i have to rise strengthend and brave to our lord out of this, but cant feel that this will be possible.

  • @STUKAMIKAZE i'm not a person who believes in gods, but in my experience i can telle you that time and good friends help to go on. carry on bro!

  • about losing..

  • Dadio left when I was 18months, but to be honest I wouldn't have the realtionship I have with him today if it hadn'e been for him leaving. Love ya dad.

  • yep my dad died when i was 5, but relax it ALWAYS can get worse, and right now its pretty good. music wise.

  • Dad left years ago, rarely see him anymore. He was pretty much the closest one to a father figure. Now I'm just anti-social, thinking too much and feel too little.

    :P

  • incredibly epic

  • I learned the bass to this song. Its more fun to play than listen. :)

  • @luyendao it's not smart nor polite to start a conversation with anyone pointing out their short comings.

  • @801mann

It's not smart nor polite to be rude to a person trying to point out the best.

  • I would be tuned in everyday.

I'm a bit baffled by the number of dislikes for this song. This song is perfect.

  • THIS SONG IS SOOOOO TOUGH!

  • their song names are erie to me. I first heard this band with my cousin who was later in a coma and taken off of life support a year ago this july 13. love you riley

  • @801mann Eerie...but keeping it real. Dark is one way to look at, but it's all real, it makes you appreciate how great life is if you use to make a difference. That's my take on it!

  • This song has always been one of my favorites, I don't know my dad but everytime I hear this I feel like I do. :(

  • watch?v=rtYgzWdNmQE

  • is there any songs similar to this one?

or any bands similar to this band?

    haha or both? help

  • @TheCreedAprntce

God Is An Astronaut. Lol, look on the right side video thing.

    :)

  • It doesn't really make me think of my drunken father but it's still great^^

  • I honestly don't have the words to describe this song. At least not any that can do it justice.

  • Fathers Day...

  • i cant believe how it be so expressive without ANY words. although my mind full of with words and expressions in connect with my dad... memories, voices, fragrances, flavours... how could i have lost him?! how could i have let this happen...?

  • Best bass riff ever.

  • this band is unique!

  • How the fuck you can dislike this...

  • i would!!! ive always thought it was sad there isnt anything like that on the radio. how about playing some red sparrows and eluvium on there too! but of course there has to be eits! <3 =)

  • 44 people have no idea what music is

  • Dad, I miss you so much. It's been 9 years since you're gone and every time I hear this song I cant help but think of you. Thanks for fighting and being there when you could. Rest in peace and I hope you're in paradise looking down<3

  • rebuffing NOOOOOOOOO

  • look up "while the city sleeps - back when we knew", similar colourful soundscapes and grand crescendos!

  • @colaosk8 wow, really really great video.what kind of programs/effects did you use? impresiv

  • 2:55 and until the end is awesome

  • I want to make a non-profit radio station that plays all instrumental music with no commercials. No bull. Who would listen??

  • @kpfranzen Me :D

  • @kpfranzen I would kill for that good sir... make it happen

  • @kpfranzen i would listen to that and nothing else man

  • @kpfranzen No commercials = No funding = No station.

    Sorry dude.

  • @Gosu117 this is unfortunately true. Unless you're super well off and can privately fund this project yourself, there is no way something like this would be successful. Music is art, but putting it on a media distribution platform makes it a business. No business is successful without investment or general monetary backing. If you can pull it off, well then more power to you, but realistically, things don't work that way.

  • @kpfranzen there's one exactly like that in NH it plays at like 8:30 on thursdays.

  • @kpfranzen Sound's like the best idea ive ever heard on youtube by far.

  • @kpfranzen Why cant they make a station of that if there is i need to know, cuz im tired of these RAP bullshit that died back in the 2000!!

  • @kpfranzen everyone. now make it

  • @kpfranzen I would.

  • @kpfranzen I would listen. And donate to the cause as well. I don't know how serious you are about that, but let me know! And please, do me a favor. If I get the most thumbs up on my music video, I win a trip to see these guys live at Lollapalooza. Thumb me please!

    /watch?v=-13jZyJerF8

  • @kpfranzen I would totally listen. I love instrumentals.

  • @kpfranzen Online readio station? If you want to target a niche target market - a small group of listeners - you should totally go for it. If it's too niche to establish it offline - do it online :) I would listen you know! :D

  • @kpfranzen sorry - meant *radio* :)

  • @kpfranzen Great idea, but how are you going to get money?

  • @FrikkFelix Grant...

  • @FrikkFelix Donations. I know i'd donate at least. Fuck yeah!

  • @TranquilityOfBrand Yeah, me too!

  • @kpfranzen hell yes i would listen...

  • @kpfranzen Its called npr, and the republicans want whatevers left wiped off the face of the earth.

  • @kpfranzen

i was thinking about that the other day! but where would one start??

  • Comment removed

  • @kpfranzen Do it! iTunes streaming radio...

  • @kpfranzen I, sure as hell.

  • @kpfranzen i would...:D

  • @kpfranzen If this a serious post: What state would this be in? Becuase i would most definitely listen to it.

  • @kpfranzen I would listen for sure. do you mean an internet radio station? that'd be a lot easier on your part and get more listeners since you wouldn't be limited to whatever area you're in

  • @kpfranzen Not gonna happen. How would you fund it?

  • @kpfranzen i wouldn't just listen, i would donate..

  • @kpfranzen 543 likes. Do it.

  • @kpfranzen DO IT. I would so listen.

  • @kpfranzen ummmm... make it. now.

  • @kpfranzen i would donate

  • I fuckin know what I will be listening to later tonight when I'm partying. This stuff is nice. At 3:10 the song just explodes. Awesome

  • I lost my father a couple days ago. I don't even know how I can type this. Everytime this songs plays from now on all I can think about is him.

    I love you dad.

  • @astroblackable I wish I had something more comforting to say, but at least you have something beautiful to remember him by.

  • @astroblackable May God bless you rother. God is our Father and he is in His loving hands for all eternity, a place of paradise inexpressable by human diction. Pray and live for him, Love you man. May Peace be with you. 2 Cor 5:1-9

  • @astroblackable Reading this as I listen brings tears to my eyes; may he rest peacefully.

  • @astroblackable I lost my dad may 25th. And I had to go through my first fathers day without him. I listen to this song...and american pie by don mclean...when I start thinking about him.

  • @astroblackable sorry for your loss, music is a great way to remember, a great way to cope and eventually a great way to move on. Wish you well

  • If you like this you should try "Canvas Solaris", "Gordian Knot", "JT Bruce" and "Don Caballero" as well. They all have a distinct and original instrumental sound.

I tried "God is an Astronaut" as well due to their link being on the right, they were great as well.

  • this song kind of reminds me of pinback

  • @mauiman707; that's why we can't hear that music in radio. (: let it be only us man, i would rather not to hear anybody but real listeners.

  • this is amazing

if you like this you might like

gabriel williams - split (te pendre)

  • if you like explosions in the sky, check out "el ten eleven"

  • @Phustal Dude, El Ten Eleven is one of the bands that got me into instrumental music! :D

  • you should check out "while the city sleeps", similar big and colourful soundscapes!

  • I just have no words to explain my feeling about this music/album... It is like so happy and so boring... It is the best album I've ever heard. In all my life. And I think it is the most sensible and deepest of all times.
