This is a political message to our founding fathers of how bad we've messed up our country and strayed so far from our constitution with the wars, hence the helicopter and the drums like a marching army and the loud parts like bombs going off. Although its nice to see people thinking about their actual dads it would be nicer to see that people could actually think deeper about stuff regardless the title of something.
@MercadoKR I think to some, this song is about their fathers. Maybe to you its about the founding fathers but most prefer thinking about their dads. How did you get that it was about the FF, the title? So just let people think how they want too. If this song reminds them of their father. And if you haven't listened to most EITS songs, they for the most part have loud parts. It's nice that you interpret this differently but to me, this song is about my father.
EITS is an awesome band. Saw them perform in the cleared out surfboard area of Soundwaves in Houston a few years back. They didn't play long, but it was awesome.
I havent talked to my dad since 2004......i miss him and want to contact him but i feel like its been to long and any connection we had is gone................................
@MrBethlol Aw, why don't you write book about it? Here's a tip dude; if you want to show your sympathy to those peoples fathers you mentioned, bragging about how great your dad is is not the best idea...
Lets not make this a pity fight. You people arn't your fathers. You have no idea what they've been through or what they have done for you. I'm not trying to be mean, and most of you will deny that your fathers did anything for you, but please, just listen to the song and keep your thoughts to yourself.
My dad left my mother and I when I was 3 months old. He never sent her money, called, or came to see me, and she never asked, never complained to me. My mother dropped out of college picked up two full time jobs to raise me and keep me located in a good neighborhood, she worked seven days a week for over 4 years while I was a teenager. She lived and breathed for me for over a decade. I am now a chemistry grad student. For this I thank you father, for letting the greatest woman I know raise me.
Since my dad died during the summer, i have to help my 9 year old brother with the homework i never had in elementary,my dad was the "expert" at math is what you would call him at the time, my mom raises to selfish,no shit, kids,me and my brother. If you ask me its pointless,i survived without a dad for 4 years, when i was 3,my dad walked out on us,He never called,he never sent flowers, dramatic shit,he came back when i was 5 leaving us no other option to hate him.
@Ryukolink But we soon grew to love him,in a week, He left to join the army without telling us.when he died,he left me and my mother to suffer in depression, but my little brother had the worst effect, silence, always talking about death, i wish there was away to fix him,he is only 9, all those years he was here,he taught us a lesson,to never give up,if we did something wrong,we would just instantly give up, But my mom took the role, and she is what got us back on our feet. Thanks dad for everything.
My dad died in my hands,my mother's,and my brother, I have gone into depression praying to god to give him a second chance,My mom has been a lot more silent without him. He was the one that brighten are day,but without him, everyday i see in California is so dark and gloomy. He was a sergeant in the army, and some of the soldiers referred to him as "Pa". After my dad death my mom went off on the deep end, very depressed, suicidal, drunk for all my childhood. For yrs i prayed, shes been sober for 7 yrs. :)
I know I'm just adding to the list. Well, my father died when I was 2. Very unexpected and random. He had a heart condition no one knew about, including himself. He had a heart attack during my older brother's basketball practice, my dad being the coach. He died on the court. My brother was the last to see him alive, he was only 7. My brother hasnt played basketball ever since. Yeah my childhood was rough, but God prevailed. My dad loved and cherishd us, i look forward to seeing him in heaven.

So if you wanna support some unsigned music I'd really appreciate your feedback.
@MrYouremyhero same thing that happened to me... took him to the hospital for a common check up and he never got back... it's already 6 years, but it keeps hurting.
My dad was born in Cuba. He left Cuba on a boat, to escape Castro's communist regime and to help me, my brother and my mom have a better life in the United States. I was only 1 month when he left me. Fortunately, he made his trip to Cuba safely and after a year he brought me, my mom, and my brother on plane to the U.S. My dad was willing to sacrifice his life for me and that's why I'm grateful of him.
@mguygh why do you think so? Are you sure if you're listening them, or they're background musicians for you while you're havin fun? I think you've not listened the part that starts at 2:58, or you have no scar in your heart. Underestimating people's emotion doesn't give you even a shit, and please don't listen eits if you don't feel anything.
I'm a metalhead mainly, but i heard one these guys song on an MMA highlight video and these guys make epic songs, especially for highlights. Makes me reminisce of the old Pride FC days.
I'm so proud of my father! He managed to escape the war just in time before the Khmer Rouge arrived. He came to Canada, alone, poor, at the age of 19, and he could barely speak the language. He stayed positive and happy even though he was left alone. Now, he lives very happily with the family and we live very well. I'm so proud of my dad, he's awesome, funny, kind, I love him... :)
Amazing how the first song from their first album ends up being one of my favorite songs of theirs. I can't believe anyone (including the Explosions guys) could ever dislike this song or album! It's bloody amazing! The bass is so slick and laid back, love it!!
I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss. I lost my father March of last year & unfortunately, as people, we don't get to see the ones we've lost in physical form again until we as well join the spiritual realm of existence/consciousness... But hang in there friend, cus it only gets easier as time passes & new oppurtunities arise. Find healthy outlets for your feelings before you find yourself unsure of what your purpose is in life, cus you deserve so much more. <3 Much loveee & God bless(:

Although I may not have lost my father, listening to this song makes me think of how much different life would be if he was gone today. It makes me appreciate all that he has done for me and how much he loves me. Losing my grandfather was hard enough as is, I don't know how I am going to keep living without a father someday.
my father died at home 2 weeks ago. he died in our arms. it was a hard experience, but it was the best that we could stay at his side. i miss him very much, but this music reminds me on happier days in my life. i am 19. i feel terrible for almost 16 days. 2 or 3 days after his death i thought about commiting suicide, but it wont help. i have to rise strengthend and brave to our lord out of this, but cant feel that this will be possible.
Dadio left when I was 18months, but to be honest I wouldn't have the realtionship I have with him today if it hadn'e been for him leaving. Love ya dad.

their song names are erie to me. I first heard this band with my cousin who was later in a coma and taken off of life support a year ago this july 13. love you riley
@801mann Eerie...but keeping it real. Dark is one way to look at, but it's all real, it makes you appreciate how great life is if you use to make a difference. That's my take on it!
i cant believe how it be so expressive without ANY words. although my mind full of with words and expressions in connect with my dad... memories, voices, fragrances, flavours... how could i have lost him?! how could i have let this happen...?
i would!!! ive always thought it was sad there isnt anything like that on the radio. how about playing some red sparrows and eluvium on there too! but of course there has to be eits! <3 =)
Dad, I miss you so much. It's been 9 years since you're gone and every time I hear this song I cant help but think of you. Thanks for fighting and being there when you could. Rest in peace and I hope you're in paradise looking down<3
@Gosu117 this is unfortunately true. Unless you're super well off and can privately fund this project yourself, there is no way something like this would be successful. Music is art, but putting it on a media distribution platform makes it a business. No business is successful without investment or general monetary backing. If you can pull it off, well then more power to you, but realistically, things don't work that way.
@kpfranzen I would listen. And donate to the cause as well. I don't know how serious you are about that, but let me know! And please, do me a favor. If I get the most thumbs up on my music video, I win a trip to see these guys live at Lollapalooza. Thumb me please!
@kpfranzen Online readio station? If you want to target a niche target market - a small group of listeners - you should totally go for it. If it's too niche to establish it offline - do it online :) I would listen you know! :D
@kpfranzen I would listen for sure. do you mean an internet radio station? that'd be a lot easier on your part and get more listeners since you wouldn't be limited to whatever area you're in
@astroblackable May God bless you rother. God is our Father and he is in His loving hands for all eternity, a place of paradise inexpressable by human diction. Pray and live for him, Love you man. May Peace be with you. 2 Cor 5:1-9
@astroblackable I lost my dad may 25th. And I had to go through my first fathers day without him. I listen to this song...and american pie by don mclean...when I start thinking about him.
If you like this you should try "Canvas Solaris", "Gordian Knot", "JT Bruce" and "Don Caballero" as well. They all have a distinct and original instrumental sound.
I tried "God is an Astronaut" as well due to their link being on the right, they were great as well.
I just have no words to explain my feeling about this music/album... It is like so happy and so boring... It is the best album I've ever heard. In all my life. And I think it is the most sensible and deepest of all times.
This is a political message to our founding fathers of how bad we've messed up our country and strayed so far from our constitution with the wars, hence the helicopter and the drums like a marching army and the loud parts like bombs going off. 801mann 6 months ago
@801mann Eerie...but keeping it real. Dark is one way to look at, but it's all real, it makes you appreciate how great life is if you use to make a difference. That's my take on it!

Sorry dude.
Gosu117 8 months ago
@Gosu117 this is unfortunately true. Unless you're super well off and can privately fund this project yourself, there is no way something like this would be successful. Music is art, but putting it on a media distribution platform makes it a business. No business is successful without investment or general monetary backing. If you can pull it off, well then more power to you, but realistically, things don't work that way.

@kpfranzen there's one exactly like that in NH it plays at like 8:30 on thursdays.

@kpfranzen Online readio station? If you want to target a niche target market - a small group of listeners - you should totally go for it. If it's too niche to establish it offline - do it online :) I would listen you know! :D

If you like this you should try "Canvas Solaris", "Gordian Knot", "JT Bruce" and "Don Caballero" as well. They all have a distinct and original instrumental sound.
I tried "God is an Astronaut" as well due to their link being on the right, they were great as well.
