I heard this song in 1976, when I was just entering North Jr. HS in Richardson, Texas. Heard this song on the old Zew. KZEW, 98.7 in Dallas, Texas. I hear big John is still rocking in Texas
Nice video...excellent tune and all,b but the colour pic you've used is not John Nitzinger, but rather Kimball '73 graduate Rocky Athas. He was honored as one of Texas’ Ten Best guitarists as an inductee to BUDDY Magazine’s TexasTornadoes. He holds this honor with such noted guitarists as ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons, Eric Johnson, Bugs Henderson, Johnny Winter, John Nitzinger, and Jimmy Vaughan.
@ZEWlistener You're welcome. KZEW 98 FM played a lot of the tracks off of the album including this one when it came out. I lived too far away from Dallas to pick up Q 102 except when it was raining.
@randomandwelldone I'm glad I was around to experience FM radio at its very best...before the corporate takeovers. Unfortunately, commercial radio in general, has become one big bore. Q102 and KZEW each had their unique way of programming great music. Another one of Nitzinger's contemporaries that comes to mind is Bugs Henderson.
@randomandwelldone The ZOO was the best radio station in TX. I grew up in Tyler+if your car stereo could pick up Zoo you wuz cool!
But the Zoo Freak sticker on your rear window would get you pulled over by Barney 'cause he knew you had weed. All Radio stations suck now.
AND on a much sadder note Texas great guitarist Bugs Henderson passed away last night. I knew he had cancer, but I talked to Nitzinger a couple of weeks ago and he said Bugs was doing treatment and was hoping for the best. RIP
@mekkler Yeah do you remember a place just off of Northwest Highway near Bachman Lake called "The Beggar" and one across the street called "The Bellringer", both owned by the same people?
Dude, you should really take that caption off. Believe me, if YouTube want's it down, it's down. I haven't heard Living Better Elect. In years and years. Thanks!
Great tune. Saw Nitzinger twice. Lubbock and Arlington. LOUD AND ROCKIN!!!!!

This song received a fair amount of air play on the local DFW radio stations back in the 70s. Thanks for posting.
