them 1200's are heavy as hell i think if you could get that motor into a custom carbon fiber tunnel or even just a light weight tunnel and make it go on a diet you would have a ripper. there is a vid on here of one thats turbo... its nuts.
@TheDerick435 Dude its not that much heavier not that u could tell anyways I have a 1200 and it is fast as crap and alot lighter than a yamaha give me a break you act as if you are on a johndeere tractor LOL
@cholber1 haha it probly feels like a rocket between your legs!!! They are heavy but they are still very nice machines. Have you ever thought about putting a turbo on it? that thing would be way crazy..
the 1200 arent pure speed, they just have really good bottom end, plus another thing is i guy i know bought one and he said he had to dick around with it to get it to turn properly soo idk how much better they can be maybe for a twisty trail they will be good, but theyre also heavy
I just rode both of them on a demo ride..the 800 is a kick ass sled for a pure trail performance sled, but the 1200 renegade X is the best sled I have ever ridden period. More than fast enough for me, and smooth as silk to ride. I'm placing my spring order 1st chance I get....no more two stroke smoke for me, I just want to put down miles with performance to boot.
thats good considering a 130 horse vs 155 horse four stroke sleds= relyability and way more miles. go with the 4 but 2 stroke is nice too. idk i want a new sled im kinda stuck between which one to get.
@drichards7 i was in the same situation. I went 4 stroke because of the reliabiltiy and if im spending that much I want it to last more the 10,000 miles. the skidoo 2 strokes appear to bomb after 10,000 miles if they even make it. 4 strokes will last alot longer and when you watch this vid there really not much slower. put a clutch kit and pipe and you just about the same as a stock 800, plus its goin to last alot longer. Hope this helps, just my own opinion lol
Nothing beats a nice groomed trail with a couple of snowmobiles on it

Mr wancers oviosly uv never rode a snowmobile because it's takes skill and a little guts to ride on a small ass trail like but just though.

the only reason the 1200 lost is because the 800 is proBABILY a 2 stroke and the 1200 is a 4 stroke!

whats the point of buying a 1200 over an 800 if your talking pure speed as the only factor

Hard to tell who won? I know the guy on the right, but is that the 800 or the 1200?

the 1200 is on the left, if you pause before he goes past the camera you can see the xr body panels
