Hot damn, this is one fine video edit. Well done. The song fits perfectly.

The epicness of the shown material proves what I've said time and time again: Blizzard need to start venturing into the movie sector. No matter the fun that's to be had with WoW for a while, the game falls short of the epic premise set by each of the intro videos released thus far. Blizzard, you guys have more money than God - use it to hire excellent writers, and your animation department and musicians will do the rest.

Besides, it's WoW - whatever the sum spent for production, it'd undoubtedly be dwarfed by cinema ticket and home media revenues.

@Vicioussama Yes, it does. You know why? Because only a small part of the staff is committed to the production of those intros. If they were to actually try their hand at making a CGI movie you can bet a year's paychecks they'd have it ready for the silver screen in five years, probably even less. Take FFVII: Advent Children, for example - that movie was made in less than four years, and it rocked my socks off regarding both graphics and overall quality.

@Sonicron86 Small staff? lol, want to bet? And it's not like everyone at blizzard knows how to do graphics. And even FFVII: AC isn't on par with the detail of WoW's movies (in terms of particle effects and level of detail). Still, Blizzard's team for graphics/movies is pretty massive last I recall.

PS, Advent Children sucked donkey balls when it comes to movie standards. The Spirits Within was a lot better (again, from a movie standpoint).

@Vicioussama I meant in relation to the rest of the staff constantly working on WoW; I just think they have the potential manpower to make a movie relatively quickly.

As for AC, that comes down to personal preference. Personally, I liked both AC and SW, although the latter probably worked better for new audiences because it was a self-contained affair, whereas AC expanded on the specific events of a video game, which is always risky.

I'd settle for AC graphics standards in a WoW movie, anyway.

@Vicioussama Watched AC again today, and I agree, those WoW shorts do have more detail in most scenes; however, a WoW movie wouldn't need to look its best for its entire duration, either, especially when you can manage to distract the audience a bit from the graphics aspect with excellent dialogue and character development. :)

Man, sure would be awesome IF they made a move on the level of their shorts. Be probably setting such a high bar that nothing would match it for awhile.

Besides, the voice actors they got ARE excellent, as should be most of the writing (seeing how Dan Abnett's responsible for it).
