  • this movie is in hulu for the fans!

  • WHAT a movie! And you cannot take your eyes away from Ethan and Philip. The most intense acting I've seen in a long time. Absolutely sad, riveting film.

  • the title makes this film seem like a horror, i guessed wrong. what is this film like, and any relevant films you would say this is like?

  • You have to watch an ad before you watch the trailer, which is what? An Ad! Friggin' insane.

  • one of the best films of the decade, Ethans second best, Gattaca number 1

  • Can I call you Chico?

  • I just watched this film yesterday ... brilliant!

And a few days ago I also watched two other movies: 12 Angry Men (1957) and Serpico (1973), and the thing that I did not know was that the director of all these three films is the same: Sidney Lumet ... Genious

  • I'm in love with Phillip Seymour Hoffman. That man can freaking act!!!

  • man this movie sucks! fucking waste of time, i could have done that movie from 2hours to 2min..

  • @magicballs121

LOL how wrong you are! I dont know what kind of movies you enjoy, maybe you like to watch cartoons only

  • this movie is AMAZING. but this trailer sucks, and doesn't do it justice

  • definately top 10 of the decade

  • Finally something good on netflix

  • Does anyone know the second song in this trailer?

  • @Thedarkconsumer It's Called "The Chamber" By Dan Silver

  • wat was that music that starts off at second part of trailer..

  • A movie about fatherhood.

  • What do you think happens to hank at the end? (After he takes the money and runs)

  • @KiedisMan the film never explains but think of this-when they confronted the guy who was blackmailing him it never showed him getting his drivers lincece back and the woman lived-she would have told the cops everything with her brother geting killed at her home!

  • This movie was fucking amazing!

  • this movie is fucked up...

  • Great film but this trailer I don't like.

  • so what happened to ethan hawke's character in the end? Did he just get away with it?

  • @missfrenchy1989 how could he get away with it? if you mean having to move out of town and never seeing your father again, yeah he got away with it

  • @missfrenchy1989 They don't tell what happens to him really. Left up to the viewer I suppose.

  • the german trailer is the better one

  • sidney lumet is NOT an academy award winner...

  • @TiagoNigga

The trailer was probably referring to his honarary academy award

  • @TiagoNigga true but he did get some type of award/recognition from the academy

  • This movie is most tragic movie I have ever seen, haha, it makes you realize that maybe your life is not that bad.

  • ethan hawke AND phil hoffman? together?! I NEED TO SEE THIS.

  • @PeaceLoveMonika

    They both gave phenomenal performances

  • I just fell in love with digital cinema

  • WATCH.;'FREE`.'MOVIES;'.ONLINE!':'

  • R.I.P. Sidney Lumet. From his first to his last film, Twelve Angry Men to Devil Knows you're dead, you were fantastic.

  • RIp sidney lumet. he was 81+ years old when he directed this film. a true legend

  • RIP Sidney Lumet

  • R.I.P Sidney Lumet :'(

  • R.I.P. Sidney. This was my favorite film of 2007.

  • Lumet is still doing great work 50 years into his career!! Impressive!

  • @donnyv78

    Its dead now

  • Great movie, marissa tomei got fucked doggy style in this movie, she is a hot MILF

  • Hate this trailer, wtf, why have a film like that and then show the scene 'Andy getting busted by accounts' before people have even seen it, what a joke. Film makers, get some frigging responsibility!

  • It's not even fair how underrated this film is.

  • @alexxxdamasta187 exactly!

  • what song is in the trailer?

  • marisa tomei.what a sexy bomb was here

  • @kjsh987 She got fucked doggy sytle

  • This is one of the best movies EVER. The acting of Seymour Hoffman when he gets pissed off is priceless. It really gets you

  • oh so i dont get to watch this because some fagot add that i dont want to see anyways wont load wow fuck youtube and your money bitch

  • dude, these are hilarious!! saw this in webmovietube

  • they both deserved oscars for this one

  • Dude it was so hard to watch lol. so depressing.

  • amazing movie.

  • XD i thought this was the band -.-

  • mariisa is unbelievably hot in this movie..gotdamn what a hot mama that woman is

  • Philip Seymour Hoffman is the best actor working presently, i can`t think of one movie he was bad in, he will win more oscars in the next ten years.

  • @unspeakable28 What about Nicolas Cage in Adaptation?

And in my opinion, he was only good in Synecdoche, New York and Doubt.

  • @googleeaterwoot What about Boogie Nights and 25th Hour?

  • man i watched this movie but i was with my sister and parents and the opening got us by surprise lmao no one expected the first scene to be so hot.

  • @The4670 lol

  • @The4670 The opening scene was only half hot, cuz unless you forgot, that was Phillip Seymour Hoffman porking Marissa Tomei.

  • @The4670 LOL.

  • amazing trailer

great character focused suspense/thriller flick. It has a slice of that 1974 tension as well !

    I give it a 8/10. Hoffman's acting was win.

  • Marisa Tomei is hot

  • This movie was Awesome! Action packed from beginning to end. It was very well thought out, totally believable, brilliant in slowly unfolding what could actually happen when a simple plan goes awry...Phillip Seymour Hoffman is a phenominal actor! Ethan Hawk was great as well. It's been a long time since Iv'e seen a "nail biting" thriller that made this much sense in a while.

    Highly highly recommend it!!

  • Dont care for this movie, but at least it has Tomei in it :)

  • sometimes life requires us to be so perfect, so successful, where is the exit??....^_^

  • Maybe it's just me but a lot of great movies seem to have terrible trailers.

  • @abcdefh1992 that's because trailers are intended to draw mainstream folks to the movie... if a perfectly deep movie has one action sequense, believe me it'll be in the trailer. twice.

  • @DeHomunculus It's not just that but if I didn't already see this movie I would think it's a cheesy piece of shit. It just isn't edited very well. Trailers like L.A. Confidential and Raiders of the Lost Ark have the same problem.

  • I just saw this movie through netflix - great! highly recommend.

  • i would like to see this movie, I hope they show it on TV at some Point... .

  • "do you realise I've been having an affair! Aren't you gonna get angry" Um...lmao movie looks good, Marisa Tomei was awesome in a movie called "In the Bedroom" an outstanding performance in my opinion :)

  • it has a sickening end because its a think film. careful what you watch

  • the film is structurally flawed and it left a couple of questions unanswered. But it was an ok film. But the trailer gives it all away.

  • i haven't seen this film but i think the trailer gives away too much

  • fuck!,i thought this was primal fear....lol

  • pksapoksaopkspak

  • e feiii

  • This film was excellent

  • great movie !!

  • This was the most vile film I've ever seen.

  • @NYerintransit then you haven't seen much. Try 'Irreversible'

  • I live two blocks away from that shopping center

  • probably one of the best films i ever saw, and really probably the best performance between two actors i ever saw. not seperate roles but how they acted as a team together the best performance ever between Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Ethan Hawke.

  • Really solid film. loved it

  • good trailer!! i want to see it know =)

  • ok movie 4/ 5

  • one of the greatest films ever

  • i love this movie....

hahaha ethan hawke looks soooo funny when he has that disguise on and hears the gunshots hahahahaha

    GREAT FILM

  • Fantastic film

  • great movie. horrible trailer.

  • @zerodood are you serious? i love this movie, and i think this might be the best trailer ive ever seen. this trailer might actually be better than the movie itself.

  • @carelessboy1 best work you've seen from...?

  • 2007 BABY! The Best Year of Movies. No Country For Old Men, There Will Be Blood, and Before The Devil Knows You're Dead. That's a pretty good fuckin list baby! Juno was gay though.

  • what's the song at the end?

  • The Chamber by Dan Silver

  • I just met Ethan today in the second largest building of the world.

  • Can some please tell me the song that plays right at the start?

  • This movie was sad...some what funny though.Good movie, i liked it

  • this movie made me feel terrible for these guys. that poor father too. good movie

  • Great movie. Probably the best movie in 2007 behing No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood

  • i liked there will be blood but was not a big fan of no country for old men

  • cheesealtar: What do those two films have to do with this one?? I liked them both but this isn't even by one of the directors of those films so, ...

  • I liked all 3 but im sure we can all agree that 2007 was an amazing year for movies :)

  • I really liked this movie!! Sydney Lumet is an inspiration. Directing a winner at 80-plus years of age!!!

  • This film was quite good. I mean - below my expectations from such a cast and director- but stil quite good, breaking the linearity of the story was nice and two more things that made it worthwile: soundtrack - great and bleak enough and to see Marisa Tomei sporting her body - priceless : )

  • marisa tomei

  • good movie

  • Great line: "You mind if I'd call you Chico? I'll call you Chico!"

  • I really think TDK was a great flick, but explain me something, why the FUCK are you people talkin' bout Batman in Before The Devil Knows You're Dead trailer??? hahahaha

  • I wasn't aware this was a trailer for a Batman film.

  • XDDDXDDD

its like a dog day afternoon comedy replica

  • That opening scene where Tomei is getting pounded was great. You can hear the "clapping" sound from that great ass she has. Hoffman had to have a hardon.

  • who is it on 1:30??

  • just finished watching this movie although the ending left me with many questions it was a very very good movie ......beats me why this movie got so little attention .........highly recommended

  • I got it folks! the name of the song at the end is:

RipTide Music - The Chamber (Dan Silver)

  • you are a big man! :) thanks.. thanks.

  • @andyeagle1 i fucking love you

  • In the opening scene PSH has a grin like a cat with a strawberry flavoured arse. Marisa Tomei is some babe.

  • this trailer is so good

  • dude, this movie only made $24,000,000...the budget was $18,000,000....the Dark Knight made $1billion and this movie was better!!!

  • lawl

  • Dark night was a over rated shitty movie lol , this movie was wayyyy better fuck your budgets

  • the dark knight got so much because of heath ledger's death, if he hadnt died the movie would just be another batman... if he wasnt even IN the movie, no1 would have heard of it cuz his acting is pretty much what made it special

  • thats true...

    heath ledger deserved the award

hes an amazing actor ( :

  • If Heath wouldn't have died, and "the movie would just be another Batman..." it would still get a lot of success because people would find out about Heath's performance in no time:)

  • i thought his performance was fantastic why the fuck would it matter if he died or not it doesnt change how the movie turned out and how well he did in it

  • Exactly. It wouldn't fucking matter:)

  • and what about Batman Begins?

  • Batman Begins is nothing special as a movie. it cant be compared to Tim Burton's Bataman, Not even the Dark Knight is better than that. Dark Knight had that much success because Ledger died and everybody wanted to see what they considered to be his final movie. But dark knight had so many plot holes that drove me insane. im looking forward to see Terry Gilliam's Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, the real last heath ledger film. TDK was just another normal blockbuster with a mediocre story

  • Tim Burton sucks and Joel Schumacher as well. The only thing they did was some childish homo bullshit version of Batman.

The Dark Knight is way better than Batman 89. Just watch the endings of the 2 movies and you´ll see. It´s not only because of Ledger´s death. I bet that movie would be successful anyway.

I just don´t understand such dumbs like you. You ppl should be happy that the franchise got rebooted after B&R

  • well, thats your opinion. im not gonna take it very seriously since it seems that youre a 17 year old kid that worships departed. I bet that you haven't even heard of infernal affairs

  • and hitman as one of your favorite movies? ok, whatever. At least you have a quotation from Alan Moore's watchmen on your channel. im surprised. As for TDK, its not a bad movie, but it isnt a masterpiece. Its just too much overated. its better than Begins but that wasnt much difficult. but even begins is better than schumacher's pieces of crap. anyway burton's batman is still better

  • My Favourite Films:

The Departed, Leon, The Godfather, Scarface, Heat, Colleteral, Schindlers List, Valkyrie, Reservoir Dogs,

Snatch, The Dark Knight, Sin City, Watchmen, Casino Royale, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Se7en, Saving Pr. Ryan, Mystic River, Inside Man, Casino, Taxi Driver, Matrix, American Psycho, No Country for Old men.......

The Departed is my favourite one

the movie won 4 Academy Awards

I know Infernal Affairs it´s ok but not better than Departed even if its a remake of it

  • i dont care for academy awards anymore. you have to open your eyes a little more and watch more independent movies. those are great movies I agree but thats normal because they are from coppola, or spielberg, or fincher, or besson, or tarantino, or scorsese, etc. etc. but hollywood is dying slowly in their creativity and you know it. face it, departed is an oscar winner remake that is NO better than the original. and wheres the original? nobody cares

  • open your eyes a little bit more and you will remember the big names in movies history...those that are often mentioned by the great American Directors

    peace

  • never heard of : Fellini, Kurosawa,Bergman,Eisentein, Almodovar, Fassbinder,Malle,, just to name a few ?

  • You forgot Fritz Lang! he he

  • a European Cinema critic of 17 ?

As any Austrian can teach me, age is no obstacle for intelligence or talent.

But, age is important for experience.

How many movies have you possibly have watched up today ?

    Peace

  • thats just your opinion man. as far as performances, direction, cinematography goes i thought TDK was awesome. Im not even gonna compare to Tim Burtons which i loved also, but not as much because, they are two completely different takes on the story. And thats my opinion. But I bet you wont respect it because hey Im 17 too.

  • i respect your opinion and i agree with the cinematography that was really good. and the performances were awesome too. not so sure about the direction or the editing since there were meny plot holes in the movie that i disliked. but yes youre right, they are very distinct movies. i just think that TDK should had a Jack Napier. And the direction was good, but the best Nolan's film continues to be Memento

  • Memento=Awesome

    Insomnia=Quite Brilliant

    Prestige=Excellent

    what a talent

  • HIs performance was spectacular. It would have gotten attention whether heath was alive or dead...

  • this was a good movie

  • dark knight has a messed up plot, its hard to follow whats going on

  • if your 12...

  • er302, you do understand that the ONLY reason dark knight is as praised as it is is just because of Ledger's role, right? Otherwise it would have just been "Oh haha yah batman. that was a cool movie"

  • bottom line is that most of the credit for the success of the movie goes to heath ledger because of his performance

  • You mean Ethan Hawke don't you.

  • Heath ledger?

  • why do you fuckheads always spoil the movie by telling what happens.wake up dick heads

  • I guessed he was pissed off that his son killed his wife! I would have beat his ass not kill him

  • good one dickhead just give the story away. are you fucken stupid.worthless fuck

  • take a good look in the mirror before you call anyone a dickhead....or a worthless fuck...

  • doesn't know it was a mistake, but he wasn't even close to his son anyways

  • I thought this movie had no redeeming value. It would have helped if it had some humor to it. Sickening end.

  • Great movie!

Can you believe Sidney Lumet, its director, is in his eighties?

    There's hope for us all!

  • im gonna watch that tommorow

  • PSH can act is ass off

  • oh yea here we go, the master makes another one again...no matter what, low budget, high budget, pro cast or amateur cast...his films are MUST WATCHs for film lovers! im guna watch it 4 sure!

  • why have i not heard of this movie? =O!

  • it is a low budget film..but AMAZING

  • There is only one gap for me in the story.. What the hell happens to hank ? He has the money and runs away? but thats the last thing you see from him ..

  • Considering the emotional heft of the story, and the way everything else winds up and subsequently releases.. the point was that hank was the kinda retarded brother suckered into the whole mess. Since the dad believes his other son was the only one involved, he's not going to track down the other one. Whether or not Hank gets caught by the police isn't important anymore, as total devastation already took it's toll. A masterpiece.
