October 4th, 1984 at Carnegie Hall. SRV's 30th birthday. Was one level up in the first tier box all the way to the right. Close the tier box door and it's ur own mini suite! What we didn'[t do in there! LOL Ah the old days
huichol53@gmail.com i still listen to stevie ray and johnny winter. i must admit that the long version of texas flood is the best guiter work i've ever seen. only god knows how unbelievable those two guys are time for johnny to write a new album. let me in was absolutely remarkable. please don't stop now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was his Birthday that night. He was pretty hard hitting.... and shit it was Carnegie hall.... must have blown everyones mind. that was a wicked concert... still have not heard the whole thing yet . but what I have heard that night is just beyond, imagineable!
the lick at 1:16 tears me up everytime.....stevie was so special--the only person that i would hate to miss seeing in conccert...i would say Jimi but, he wasn't always as focused as he could've been live...Stevie was always in the moment it seemed...love them both until the end
this song exist on dvd?that particular show??i'm crazy for this version almost ten years it's the best song played in the history,(only for me ) from Chile ,sorry for my english ..
Beautiful! I read in Craig Hopkins book , that Stevie flew his parents in for this concert. At the end of the show, Stevie and his Dad hugged and both were crying. I could only imagine the emotion and how proud his parents were of him!
this man's heart and soul were electrified as well...a beautiful musician and person, love having the same birthday as him... be eazy Stevie, hope the angels in heaven are taking good care of you.
This particular track is, in my opinion, one of his finest performances of all time. Put this in with the rest of the Carnegie Hall show and you have one hell of a concert.
I literally break down when I hear this version of this song.
You can literally hear the guitar cry and it makes me do the same..
Goddamn I love SRV and wish he were still around..

Quite possibly one of Stevie's best performances ever.
I had no idea one man could exert as much soul as Stevie did.
