  • Sounds a touch like Blue Oyster Cult.

  • Ah how I miss the 70's, such a simpler time, a lot less hate being spread.

    BUT A BAD COMB-OVER

  • love this song.heard it a few yrs ago while in prison a lad from the lebanon played it day and night in the cell next to me..have great memories from this song..

  • I am glad the commentator noted that it was 'zombies night', as the mostly lifeless audience was one of the first things I noticed upon watching this video.

  • Still have the original single 45 of this. I recall the being informed there were 2 versions of it; one more bass guitar the other synth. Couldn't afford both, so went for the synth. Bought it from Memrydiscs in Hounslow. The best record shop there ever was & sadly no longer with us. Definitely better days!

  • @gazitboy My maths teacher played the bass guitar on the original recording. :D

  • this song gets me up!!

  • Hair flick

  • Cruising the streets, sun hitting my face, feeling cool, without a care in the world,

one good tune after another, destination unknown, moving thru life like a fish in the sea.

  • When I was in high school in the eighties,I was listening to songs like this, and other greats from the 60's & 70's.I didn't care for 99% of the 80's stuff. I have grown to have a love for many songs from the 80's,but after about 1989, there is hardly anything I can even bear to listen to.

  • THIS SOUND >>NEVER SOUNDS OLD !!!!!! ROCK TILL YOU DROP!!!!!!!

  • Nostalgia of the good time closed to the one we loved.

  • songs like this remind me why i stopped buying albums by 1990. its not just nostalgia, the 60's-80's had some of the best music ever.

  • san alvanos einai i tragoudistis...

  • That's a Rhodes electric piano sitting underneath the synth in the video.

  • This guy reminds me of Al Stewart.

    Great song.

  • this is NOT live!! he is soooooo lip syncing..not even close..

great song...would be cool real LIVE!!

  • Another Pizza Hut classic, I never imagined this band to be English, but I always loved the keyboerds, anyone know what kind they are ?

  • @PupuTheClown

Rhodes Electric piano or a Wurlitzer. Can never tell the difference. lol

  • I never get tired of this song

  • Love this song!! But what is with the "Zombie" audience?? Get up and move it people!!!

  • exquisite driving track...

  • Jett Atkins on guitar (for Hank Wangford Band fans). LOl. Ok, its Mick Dyche really

  • one of the best one hit wonders songs

  • Love the breakdown at 2:28

  • My hot summer song in Bakersfield, Ca. 1980 Am Radio rocked back then.

  • I never get tired of listening to this song.

  • One of the earlist songs I can remember from my childhood.

    Classic!!!

  • @PrAnG2000 We didn't get top 40 hits while living in the Alberta mountains, so I'd listen to this while driving to Saskatchewan during summer vacation (early teens). What a great driving groove. Such a great song...timeless.

  • @swassontelus

Totally agree. This is a song that not many people I know remember. For years I didn't know the name of the band and struggled to find the song.

  • Great song, fell in love with when it was used on the Pioneer car radio advert. Thanks for the post.

  • when i first heard 70s music i loved this song

  • Mann, waren das zeiten.........

  • Jenny was sweet!! YEA!!, I love this stuff.

  • The year was definitely 78 not 79 I remember because I was in highschool. Great Music like this Never Dies it remains in our hearts forever !

  • @perpetual61 -- AMEN!!! It makes you feel sooo good. Can't you just see yourself, as it probably was, driving down the city streets into the night with your favorite girl sitting to your right. Cool air blowing on the both of your faces, the aroma of her perfume mixing with your cologne, as this tune blasts on the your radio. Living forever was then and there, nothing seemed to matter but that moment with her hand... nestled in yours. God, it felt great. :)

  • So is this another American sounding English band ?

  • GIRLS Kick Ass!!! My girl, SusieQ, had a 1968 GTO special edition, tach on the hood;;;;Hurst lock out reverse, and a Hemmi......PLUS she managed to get the guys to install a roll bar?????? Only so she could RUN them off the road,,,,,,,???=PS: In her Cheerleading skirt, with kelly shoes on..yet, as much as we made fun of her...I guess she won in the end....mercury switches-NO brake lights=

farm cop lost her track.. Plus this song...she had and amp in the glove box guaranteed to blow your mind!

However, Tipper Gore complained and it was banned. Tipper divoreced Al 30 years later and started a topless pancake joint in San Antonio. It was called..."Tipper and Tim Duncan's House of Pancakes and Tits"

  • The lead singer has quite the 1/2 head comb over.

  • @kgschap2010

I noticed that too. And this was 1979...he's probably a full fledged member of the bald community now

  • ,,I think this was 77 or 78, not 79.

  • check out the guy in the bomber jacket..he's havin waaaay too much fun :D great video!!

  • I love the song for sure, but are they lip syncing? It seams way too pat. Which is a shame, because a good song deserves a live performance.

  • Super Scheibn

  • You're right sandgrownun66, this song still sounds "fresh" today, that's what makes it so special...

  • no probs - check out his wikipedia page for his profile.

  • Mick Dyche on lead guitar - great riff!

    Now back with Wild Turkey.

Lead singer has the widest parting in Rock history...

  • Look at the crowd go! Must be in Toronto!

  • This is weird...Everyone had the name Jenny(Jennifer) In their songs and movies. Jennifer(LoveStory) , this song, Jenny, "8675309" ,I know there are more..I just can't think of them at the moment. The 70's was a "Jenny" decade foe sure

just take your place in the driver's seat...

  • the voice is James May right? I've read on Wikipedia that he presented TOTP footage in 2006.

  • The voice is Steve Wright. You may be right that James May did a stint on TOTP but this is TOTP2 which was voiced by Steve Wright. TOTP2 was simply a rehash of old TOTP footage but without the original links.

  • wow...cool vid. I always thought these guys were Yanks...good on ya mate!

  • Cannot get sick of this song. Love how the Rhodes piano drives the riff.

  • Great song, and yes it still sounds fresh. Yet another example of the great music produced in the 70s. Kills most of the cRAP being produced today doesn't it?

  • Ahaha, Super, Top music, thank you i love it verry well :-)

  • it is really magnificent song & performance. it is a sound which is the calibre of queen, led zep, who & the like. i know one of the lead guitars (with reddish jacket) whose name is mick dyche with whom i shared a flat in London in mid-1970's. he was playing in a group named harlot. in the early 70's he played with wild turkey. he is a great guitar player. does anyone know what's he doing and whereabouts?

  • Where do you find this great music???

  • On the radio 30 years ago. Today's music can't compare to this.
