I recieved my superskids today, put them on my dragonfly #4 and you're right they do make the heli more stable and easier to hover. Think I'll buy another one and put it on my dynam hughes 300, I highly recommend them.
The skids do provide much better stability to the overall flight characteristics. You will find it easier to get off the ground, and hover with little effort (so as long as your helicopter is properly trimmed of course).
I think your jumping ahead of yourself. Looking at the way you fly, you should still be practicing tail-in hovering. Good luck with all your future repairs.
You're absolutely right, I suck at forward flight!!
But when you have a number of people urging you on to get the f**cker up and flying, you give the crowd what they want!! This is my third Dragonfly, one I use for parts now, another I rebuilt and sold, and this one is two weeks old. Since the skids went on, (with no gimmicky advertising here), I have found the machine a lot better to handle, than on the original landing gear!!
@Computergaz I know what you are saying about the crowd..i brought my madhawk(wk180d) over brothers at birthday party for his twins..anyway when i set copter down i knew it was much to windy to fly,but i did and had a fast hard crash and show was over...Lucky me the walkeras are pretty dam tough little heli's so it was just a few bucks to repair
The SuperSkids gave the chopper better stability.
They are also very strong, when the landings are not always perfect.
I currently distribute the full range of SuperSkids products.
Cheers:)
