i hate it when i get mucky looks from people in town or they pass idiotic comments when i'm smoking OUTSIDE, i have to stop myself from smacking their empty heads in.
rest assured, they wouldn't have gave Winston Churchill or Albert Einstein mucky looks or grief.
so bloody true.the anti smokers will be scratching at their arses wondering where they have gone wrong. they don't understand common sense and the way kids like to rebel
If the government were reasonable with the price of ciggerettes then id just get a friend to buy me a packet of ciggeretes. But seeing as their not....The greedy barsterds dont get a dime! Seeing as i get them off sombody who gets them on the ferries (No tax)
@daveravegin The government are incapable of being reasonable about anything. They don't live in the real world. And it's hard for them to see the real world from the top of their ivory tower, because is jammed up the EUs arse.
A Girl at my school sells at least 40 ciggeretes a day at my school (she once told me that she'd sold 120 in one day! She sells them 50p each and makes ive worked out around 2 Grand a year (she also sells alcohol) As for me? Well i buy a 50g pouch off a kind lady who gets them duty free, so i buy my pouches £6 each as a pose to £11 and i can get about 200 ciggeretes out of each pouch so i pay around 3p per rollie! Of course if the government sere sencible and sold them for a reasonable.....
So true In the past you could get your parents and everyone else only go crazy if you went on cocaine Now you only have to buy some ciggies and low and behold your whole family gets upset
Never was it more easy to be cool and to be a rebel :-)
Their knickers are in a twist because since they have managed to ban smoking in nearly ALL public places, where there might be some "social stigma" to chain smoking - now we are forced to sit at home, where no one cares if we light one after another!
Moreover, their bans have HELPED the demise of the economy - closing pubs that used to employ folks! Less income = more worries = more smoking to "calm" the nerves.
@JCLeSinge aye. the fact that every time i go to my dad's, mam's or grandma's house in the past 5 or so years they constantly say:
"it's about time you packed that in" or "do you know what that's doing to you?"
of course, before all the hype i was considering quitting, but now i feel like i'll never quit.
part of me wonders if it's due to the ageing population so they're trying to drive us to be more unhealthy so by the time i'm 60 or so, i'll be dead, thus relieving pressure on the NHS
Looking at the 5 year historical share price charts, BAT and Imperial Tobaccos share prices increase more sharply around mid 2007. Coincidence ?
I wish you'd made this video in autumn 2008 when they were at there lowest for several years, i'd have spotted this sooner and would have made a tidy profit by now.
Had the antis left well alone, I'd just be an old git that smokes. But they have elevated smoking to a symbol of rebelion far higher than it ever was. Now I'm cool.

Ah yes, these prohibitionist nannies NEVER learn!

The rebel in me does indeed enjoy smoking more because of the ban.

Great video LOL
Would have been epic if you would have used the Hamlet cigar music in the background, :)

So true.
ASH have been the best recruitment tool 'Big Tobacco' could ever have had.
They're either in on it, or incredibly stupid.
Either way, more than ever now, I'm stopped by kids and asked to buy them 10 Richmond.
Just say to them "don't worry sonny, have one of mine. You're doing me a favour by annoying the people who despise me because of what I choose to do".
C'mon kids! Keep up the rebellion because some authorities really don't deserve respect!
Happy new year ASH
:-)
