  • I enjoy listening to Inosanto talk on martial arts. He is the authority on JKD. I was fortunate to take a seminar from him many years ago.

  • Dan is the man.

  • he brings tears to my eyes,God he is pure class.\ i love Dan.

  • Dan is a great guy! He was my High School Woodshop teacher! He taught at Rolling Hills High School. Up where he lives.

  • Inosanto is a highly skilled martial artist but remains humble and still learns from other arts

  • Oi, MartiaL Way aka Art, is about Self-Expression...

Tis about figuring out for yourself, what set of Movements SUIT YOU, The IndividuaL...

So SYSTEM is SUPERIOR to the IndividuaL doth lie the truth in the matter...

Surpass all this nonsense, and forge your own identity, peepz...

Find a starting point...Jump-Off from there into something uniquely yours...Own it...

    Be thy Self...

Not any one way, is da best...

Tiz like Tailoring a Suit to Your Specific Measurements & needs, no 2 are D Same

  • JKD. is a 100% a style, Bruce never intended it to be but the 'Official JKD' from Bruce Lee Foundation/Estate (that Ted Wong,Teri Tom, etc do) is 100% a style despite BS they claim it's not. Stand this way, here's how Bruce punched, etc - don't deviate from how Bruce did it or it's not really authentic JKD a real Classical Mess.

  • @jdempsey1919

    Valid points.

  • Man I would've love to have been there to train with Bruce as JKD progressed! I really want to learn under Danny Inosanto

  • @thunderkarate Why Look Back, when you can move 4ward...Don't think bruce would care anymore, about the arts, he'd just be a philosopher hermit...in a way, him dying young spared him a lot of unnecessary headaches...

No need to clarify, or settle disputes about this or that...It's now up to us 2 Decide for ourselves, what is right, for us, individually...

    Take carez...

  • I remember meeting Rick Tucci at Six Flag Great Adventures 2 years ago in line. We talked about Jeet Kune Do and martial arts for about 30mins and went on the same water ride together. LOL.

  • i actually had the chance to train for him in a seminar but somehow i didnt do it. man im stupid

  • It's great to hear about Sijo Bruce Lee and JKD from Dan Inosanto, someone who actually knew him. Sifu is a good host.

  • I'd pawn or sell everything I own to train with Dan Inosanto...

  • no doubt the classes are way up there $ but the worth is just outstanding just to say you attended while he is still alive only 1 taught (pupil wise) away from bruce lee in antoher 50yrs it will be farther away from the original jkd founder Bruce, if you know what i mean

  • there are many ways you can train with him without going to that means i have trained with him for the l;ast 23 years or more without spending more than $2000.00 per year

  • how do u contact him? where is he?? please answer

  • @p0rkjell0 I'm not sure if he still does but about 7 years ago he was doing seminars all over.. got the opportunity to go to one in princeton at the Hun school gymnasium and am very .. My sifu at the time was actually the interviewr here. Rick Tucci.. Both amazing martial artists

  • Excellent video!

There are way too many people taking JKD concepts and blurring them with false ideals about the Who? What? When? and Why? The only people that care are those fussing about nothing! Martial= Warlike, Art= The expression of ones thought or actions!

Enjoy them while you can. Apply it when you need to????!!!!

  • Martial was related to either fighting or warfare, while art is item known as an endeavor. The physical conditioning needed for warfare, would be martial conditioning, there would also be fighting. That endeavor part, is building an ability to keep going.

This endeavor does become the ability to adapt, after enough study is done, because of experience. The complete competency in the use of one skill will lead to, understanding all of the most closely related areas, decide on a skill.

  • @Sluggen80 Tiz about Self-expression, and IndividuaL overtakes the system...

In the end, tiz about conquering your seLF, not about Self-Defense or whatnot...

Cuz in the end, when our time comes, there's no guarantee any one technique or method will be enough to ensure your survivaL, the most you can hope for is to die w/Dignity & Self-Respect...

MartiaL Arts is to tame and conquer your ego...Your Fears...Your Self...The worst enemy...is Self-Doubt...Lack of Faith & Confidence...

  • interesting the difference between confidence and ego.

  • Dan Inosanto is my mother's cousin!

  • Thank You for posting the interview and sharing it with us. Great Job!!

  • Can't wait for the rest~

  • Guru Dan is like a machine the best all round martial artist I have ever seen.

  • where is part 2,3,4 ? great video thanks

  • Very soon

  • Interesting. I've often wondered - what was Bruce's beef about FMA? What about it didn't he like? JKD and FMA seem almost alike...

  • I am a bit ignorant to this topic, But i would like to learn JKD. What is FMA???Would you know of any teachers in the state of Louisiana?thanks for the help.

  • If you're still wondering, FMA stands for Filipino Martial Arts. It includes Kali, Arnis, Eskrima, etc. It's not as prevalent as Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, MMA, that kind of thing in the U.S., but it is out there. If you do a Google search for Filipino martial arts Louisiana, you could probably find something. Hope this helps!

  • Great! Keep em coming! thanks..
