Wow... This parent was very lucky that this woman didn't just board on another door.. I've seen that happen with peoples pets getting off the max. The dog will get off, but then the person isn't able to get off and no one stops to help.
This parent is also lucky that this person didn't do anything with their kid.. Very scary...
The operator may of not noticed that the child stepped out of the train for a fraction of a second. As a light rail operator it looks like the child and the female were together on the platform. The emergency button may of been activated after the lead car left the platform so the operator could not stop the train safely.
Calgary Transit has a rule if the emergency button is pushed after the train has left the platform we are to check it out at the next stop. The operator did nothing wrong.
I see the owners of this video refused to post my video response.
