  • You wanna watch it again?

  • Aperture Science approves!

  • The intro music is so cool (and creepy)

  • So anyone else think its funny how literally everything in Dharmaville has a dharma label on it. All the food, beer, notebooks, pencils, fucking everything. Hell even their cars. Its funny b/c no company in the world could make so many different kinds of products.

It reminds me of that movie 'Spaceballs' when they are in Yogurt's temple & he's like 'merchandising; spaceballs the t-shirt, spaceballs the coloring book, spaceballs the lunchbox, spaceballs the flame thrower'

  • DHARMAVILLE!!!

  • i want to work for Dharma Initiative without payment

  • IM DHARMA MATERIAL!

  • OI, AI VENDE PASTEL?

  • I'm sooooo glad I finished watching the whole 6 seasons BEFORE looking for dharma stuff on youtube. It's full of spoilers in the comment...

  • Vou ensinar a fazer Pastel.

  • I LOVE LOST AND DHARMA INITIATIVE SOOO MUCH. I WISH IT WOULD COME BACK ON. BEST.SHOW.EVER.

  • when juliet is trying to make the bomb go off they once again do the jump through time.

when there on the plane it is jacks after life and in his after life the plane has reached its destonation, so the bomb worked but only in jacks after life an everyone elses afterlife

  • The conflict I have is this:

He refers to an "incident". This is supposedly the one where he loses his arm, and Juliet detonates the warhead, right? Why is there an orientation film being made after that fact? Isn't the island and everything and everyone at the bottom of the ocean?

  • @likepolarity

no, the island at the bottom was a flash SIDEWAYS, it shows the alternate reality on LOST,

  • @CrashBandicootNo1

I figured that, but then what accounts for the "incident" and Chang's arm? Is this to say that the difference between the flash-sideways and the current timeline relies strictly on whether or not Juliet managed to detonate the warhead, while everything else that occured, including the electro-magnetic eruption, happened in both timelines?

  • @likepolarity

Um, in the Flash Sideways, the DHARMA Inititiative existed, BUT, chang got off the island BEFORE the incident EVER occured, and then the island went to the bottom of the ocean, and chang has full use of both arms. and the flash sideways strictly rely on whether or not, the Man in Black, destroys the light, in the island, or doesnt, if he does the island sinks, and th Flight 815 never crashes. I think thats how it goes

  • @CrashBandicootNo1 It's confusing for all the viewers because we all have our own take on how it works, and there is no "official word" from the writers. God forbid, the pandemonium that would ensue if they set canon.

My understanding of it is that the two universes are one where Juliet blows the warhead and everything (Chang, too) gets destroyed and the whole island sinks. Her "it worked" comment is confirmation that there is a reality where Sawyer is home again (the afterlife?).

  • @CrashBandicootNo1 The other universe, of course, being the continuation of the story, where the candidates are put to test against the Man in Black's wily scheme to get off the island. That's what we follow straight to the end.

Notice, though, that Chang has one limp arm that he never uses. Isn't that resulting from the incident, when his son freed him? We can suppose that Chang did get off the island somehow before Juliet set off the warhead, if that's the case.

  • @likepolarity

from what we saw when Chang got his hand crushed, it was only his HAND, i dont see why his whole arm wasnt used, because his hand looked like it could've been saved . . .but thats me,. but the warhead i thought put the Electromagnetism in a temporary inert state, and the Swan was still built

  • @CrashBandicootNo1 Agreed on the hand thing. If anything, it was only his forearm that was crushed.

That's what I mean about being confused. How could they have still built the Swan after that disaster? I suppose they just did, which is what Chang meant by the 108 second timer to recalibrate the charge.

I will tell myself that the only differing factor is the warhead going off, because that's the only way I can get past the conflict in story. I just figure it happens in both timelines.

  • @likepolarity actually think about it, the warhead simply finished the underground detonations the inititaivtive would've had to do. Think, after they drilled far enough underground, they wouldve had to excavate it, BUT since the warheas went off, it neutrallized the magnet temporarily, and finished their excavation work , so it was quicker for them to build the station, and gain control of the magnet. si u gues tat makes sense. . .

  • @CrashBandicootNo1 No, impossible. The warhead is what sunk the island, so that no further events would take place beyond the explosion, and the plane would land in LA. That was Jack's whole point to get Sawyer, Kate and Juliet to help.

  • @likepolarity

but when they woke up, they woke up in the swan site, with juliet in the bottom of the ruined station, and where that detonation occured, isnt the heart of the island, so even though it blew up, it didnt sink it.

  • @CrashBandicootNo1 And this is where my confusion begins. They zip forward to the present, and Sawyer is furious with Jack because to him, Juliet died for nothing. Juliet asserts that she did set it off, and that it worked right before she died.

The island is fine at the bottom of the ocean. It's not destroyed. If it WERE the heart of the island, the whole world would be destroyed. What she accomplished was making sure Sawyer never got marooned in the other universe, or anyone, post 70s.

  • DHARMA=Department of Heuristics and Research on Material Applications.

  • what is dharma?

  • @neverlast15 In Sanskrit, it means personal duty. It can also mean justice, but usually (and for this series) it means duty.

  • kevin butler brought me here

  • LOST is the crowning achievement of network TV, bar none...

  • I'm just finishing season 3, I wonder if they will find any more dharma orientations and find out what the dharma intiative is.

  • 70's r way less creepy than that! *shivers*

  • Miles's father

  • shows the range of the production crew

  • This is how all horror games should start.

  • allright so I just started watched lost on netflix and started season 2 and I am so scared...this is so creepy...

help me...I'm very scared but I want to finish lost..please send soft blankets and marshmellows...owwww my head

  • @jesseowls I'm on Season 5. Watching it nonstop on Netflix. Its sad that LOST is now the past and people have moved on :(

Keep watching, the show has become my favorite show ever.

  • It only looks creepy because it looks like it's from the late 70's.

  • hm. so something was cut off from he video. around minute 2:37

I mean, I know it was aired this way also on the show, but i thought i just could come here and ask if someone else noticed it

  • @didismile yes it explains this in the show ...there is a another flim without extra sceenes that were cut out

  • @dustin0004 haha yeah I figured

I was starting to watch the show, now am finishing season 6

    GREAT SHOW!

  • Those orientation videos are really creepy.

  • I would have thought they would have expanded on these characters, degroot,, and hanso foundation

  • i want to work for Dharma Initiative

  • @bharadwaj25

me too if u have anything contact me

  • @bharadwaj25 ill send u an application

  • Reminds me of Aperture Science Orientational videos. (Probably this was the inspiration for PORTAL orientational videos).

  • Damn that Japan doc is so creepy...

  • you gotta love this guy

  • If they're truly FREE thinkers, why do they wear ties?

  • Utopian socialism is whack. Para-psychology rules!

  • I want to work for the Dharma Initiative!

  • @johnafer me too

  • @johnafer me too

  • Im gonna need to watch that again....

  • i don't know why but the music SCARES THE FREAKIN HELL OUT OF ME!!!

  • last episode was very touching. its quite confusing though but touching. i didnt expect lost to end that way i still have many questions that will remain unanswered

  • So Desmond didn't get more than 108 minutes of sleep from the time he killed his partner, to the time the Oceanic survivors entered the hatch?

  • What the hell is the song soundtrack in the beginning what is the name of it looking for it quite a while!!

  • @SonOfAsimov it's the end-credits music to Lost!

  • we're gonna have to watch that again.

  • @pizzamakesmegoyay Your comment is liked 108 times. my mind is blown.

  • @pizzamakesmegoyay hahahaahahaha

  • Sinistro

  • @starfoxseattle No that guy on the video is called Dr. Pierre Chang.

Sun's Boyfriend is called Jin Kwon

  • @starfoxseattle no, the guy in this thing is miles's dad

  • @starfoxseattle no its not this is myles dad the dude that could talk to the dead

  • @ganthonyvr it is miles dad but miles dad can't talk to the dead only miles can

  • There's something very creepy about old, grainy films. I think it makes the Orientation videos even more fun to watch

  • It says 3 of 6. not the first one

  • @WyattLanz that's the 1st film we saw (as viewers of the show)

  • mysterious

  • FAntastico!

una de las cosa buenas de la serie que tan asqueroso final tiene.

  • I wonder what he's gonna say "and do not attempt to use the computer for any", but the first thing in my mind was porn.

  • we're gonna need to watch that again

  • namaste!!!!!

  • This gave me the creeps when i first saw it. It still does.

  • so, so, so cool.

  • I foolishly decided to just now watch this right before bed.

  • i hate when people say Lost is crap just because they cant follow it. i think its the best show ever :L

  • @hightopnikes104 The first 5 seasons are. Season six however, is just a jumbled up mess that disappointed me to no end and failed at everything it set out to do. I like to pretend that Season 5 is the last season and that it ends with Jack being wrong and all of them dying in the nuclear explosion.

  • Seriously, the Dharma Initiative is awesome.

  • I wonder why he changes his name all the time. Can't he be honest lol?

  • Guys if Dharma exists __________

  • what is "teh incedent"?

  • The Incident ALWAYS happens, and the losties DID change something, shall i tell you what?..they created the flash sideways by throwing jughead into the shaft. This is the point at which the timeline branches of into the flash sideways..which has a totally different History to the original timeline. The Incident Always has to happen. By changing the past (1977, incident) they change the future(new timeline).

It seems some people here still dont get it it, its an event in time that is unchangeable.

  • @TheHeuristicIslander then in original timeline dharma exists in 2004!!

dr.linus: you can see roger, that means in flash sideways the purge dint exist

  • @ZombieCrazy100 everything happens the same in the original timeline, nothing changes. But in the FS, we see Roger off island because the purge did not happen in the "F.S". What you have to remember is we are dealing with two separate and distinct "timelines", or Histories. The question for me is this- did the Fs always exist or was it created by the incident? did it have a complete history?

  • @TheHeuristicIslander Yeah I thought so too. Then the finale comes along and says that the sideways timeline is actually just purgatory. So rather than creating a new timeline they all just died and then relieved their lives without the plane crash until they realized that they were dead and then they went into the church. So, not only was season 6 vastly underwhelming, but it was also totally pointless because non of it was real.

  • @theSuperMetroid To me, the "purgatory" is more real than the sideways. because if the sideways is just what COULD have been, it is really irrelevant. But the purgatory to me seems like a point in time, in the future, hence the reason why Desmond saw flashes of the purgatory while on the island, because he sees time kind of in a linear way, and just as he could see the future/past sometimes in his brain, he saw the upcoming purgatory.

  • @basketcase5295 But it's still pointless if it's purgatory. I could care less how the characters end up in the afterlife. To me, it was just an excuse to show all the Season 1 people again and show some clips at the finale. I guess an alternate timeline would've been stupid too, so maybe it would've been better if there were no flashes at all or there were flashbacks about Jacob, MIB, Richard and the history of the others to give more backstory and answer some questions

  • @theSuperMetroid yeah i somewhat agree haha. thanks for speaking reasonably like a normal person and not going insane at my comment lol. i appreciate it haha

  • @basketcase5295 No problem. I hate those brainless fanboys who just say "Only de GAYZ dont like LOST!!"

  • @theSuperMetroid I dont think the FS was purgatory! heres why: where was Michael stuck if that was purgatory? Michael was dead and unable to move on for his sin of murder, but he wasnt in the FS! he was connected to the original timeline on island! Im not saying the island itself was purgatory in the end, but it was attached to it. I think the writers intended for the island to be purgatory but because everyone guessed it early on they had to change it up a bit!

  • @TheHeuristicIslander I agree that Michael and Eko and Walt not being there is really lame but there's nothing to say about it except the writers dropped the ball. Its not like the rest of S6 was genius or anything. It was very rushed and disappointing. Michael and Walt were totally shafted by the writers and in hindsight so were Desmond, Locke, Faraday, and Claire. We were cheated out of getting closure for them but there's nothing we can do about it now

  • @theSuperMetroid Agreed dude.It totally didnt make sense that Walt wasnt there, and that tells me that they DIDNT have it all planned from the beginning like they said. At the end of the day, they all got their payday regardless. now Damon is reaping the rewards aboard his new yacht in the caribbean!! Good chat SuperMetroid

  • @TheHeuristicIslander Yeah, I still like the show overall, but I'd be lying if i didn't say i was disappointed. They had a great first 5 seasons and we trusted them to tie it all together in the end but they didn't. With all of the complicated time traveling and rewriting history that went on in the 5th season they wrote themselves into a corner and chickened out.

  • @theSuperMetroid I think they shoulda did 4 seasons like Prison Break. if 4 was a finale, they wouldn't have to do the time travel crap which ruined it for me.

  • @sirtristan01 Season 5 started off terrible when they were just randomly skipping around through time. It got better when they settled down in Dharmaville but either way it was a missed opportunity to answer questions and explain WHY everything happened like it did in the future. So, the time travel started off badly and just as it was getting good they dropped it too soon IMO

  • @theSuperMetroid I guess you're right.

but they fell into the trap of 'The Island walks in mysterious ways so shut up' logic whereby they just write whatever the hell they want.

and this, sort of, ee, failed. obviously it had some cool stuff in s5 (only seen ep1 of s6), and those 'wow, I know who that is!' moments.

but - it's true for most series - if it survives the pilot, up to s4 it's gripping and interesting. later, it loses the magic.

  • @sirtristan01 Yeah that seems to be the curse. There are rare exceptions to the rule though, like Seinfeld- which didn't even get good until season 3 and then remained awesome till the end

  • @theSuperMetroid never watched it but there are always some notable exceptions.

but also series which don't have a strict plot (all CSIs, House MD) and separate stories each episode (only slightly connected) are more durable. think of how long CSI has been around

also, 24 lasted 8 seasons. that's because each season tells events of like 1 episode of your average series.

  • @theSuperMetroid

I feel the opposite - it was more interesting when they skipped through time and you had no idea what time they were gonna show up in, but when they had eventually settled down in Dharmaville things got a little boring and all events led to their inevitable exposure as time-travelers (or "hostiles").

It's a shame that they didn't travel to some ancient time and stayed there for more than 5 seconds - that would've been awesome! =D

  • @AdamWeith ure right man the episodes when they skipped trough time were the best episodes of the whole series and i think they could have done alot more to make the show a bit more interesting

  • @theSuperMetroid

I actually though it was primitives that attacked them with flaming arrows - how awesome would that have been!

  • @basketcase5295 Des didnt just see the Fs in his "flashes" he also saw different versions of the future, like when he saw Charlie die on island from Rousseaus arrow trap. Also when he time flashed, and went back and spoke to Dan,he wasnt in the FS then,he was in the same timeline, but in its past. They kept saying WHH but Des DID change something, because he stopped the barman being hit with the bat- same with Dharma , they werent sending Bunnies into the Fs! they were sending them forward in time

  • @theSuperMetroid i agree in alot of ways. But for me,when Christian said to Jack "All of this is real" then i got that the FS was real.It wasnt some kind of dream state. If they experienced it and lived it, then it was real. You have to ask yourself "what is real",i think the FS was another "level" of existence, or ascension to this pure state they achieved when they "moved on".Think about the people left behind in the fS! Eloise for one. She didnt wink out of existence when the others moved on

  • I thought he said your experiences on the island were real but this is a place you all built together so you could move on at the same time or some lame BS like that. It dosent matter. Whatever the FS were, they sucked and were completely useless. When I first watched S6 I thought they were an alternate timeline and that Desmond, who is unstuck in time would somehow cause the 2 timelines to intersect at the finale. Instead all we got a glorified S1 clip show and everyone hugging in a church.

  • @theSuperMetroid lol:) yeah. Its like Christian did say he was real when Jack asked him. He said it was all real (or some other lame bs like that lol). I said i do agree with you on a lot of stuff re season 6, it was rushed and felt like a checklist being ticked off one by one, but my overall experience and what i took from Lost kind of redresses the balance for me. Like you say, for you, Lost ended at season 5

  • this is from LOST the series

  • so, so, so creepy.

  • it just shows that the Swan was a working lab when the incident occurs in season 5 because chang says "soon after experiments began there was an incident". We see them putting the hatch lid on so im not sure why they were still drilling at the site of the station when it was already built? (obviously the site of where they were drilling in the Swan must be where concrete is poured over everything and its highly magnetised, after the incident they cover it with concrete, you see?)

  • in lost via domus you explore the incident room(the room behind the concrete wall

  • ooh,,,,whats in the incident room? i know this isnt canon in the show but still interesting? is there a vid on utube of this?

  • welll in the incident room there is a reactor

    and a swan computer

igo to lostpedi and type incident room

or you could try to find a video on youtube

  • @ciletsak1

yeah, but the writers of the show have been pretty clear that Via Domus is non-canon. and there isn't anything in Season 5 that tells us that there was a gigantic magnet thing down there. I do think that it was already a lab and that they were just drilling further, but the stuff you see in the video game just doesnt match up with what we've been shown. there isnt any drill wreckage or anything. just a giant magnet and a computer.

  • I actually believed that it was BS when they found the station that watches this one, but then when they blew up the hatch i was like..."Huh, guess they were wrong..."

  • Why he named mark Wendhall in this video. He's name is Pierre.

    WTF??

  • lost ppl were too lazy to check his name again :P

  • It's Marvin Candle. In each Orientation Film he has a diferent name.

  • This is the last Dharma Station Video they did, i mean, the Dharma guys...

You can see this, because, Pierre Chang is using a Protesis. They did it after the incident. That means, Jack and the others didn't change anything.

  • They caused everything

  • you are totally right dude, danboychicken is totally way off ^

  • dude, the question still is if they can change the future....

if they can, they changed it and then the Protesis doesnt mean anything

  • It does.

Pierre's protesis is just a wink.

  • i dont get it x)

  • Pierrre's arm represents what you can't change, the inevitable, the done is done, what ever happened, etc...

    It's only my oipion.

  • yeah, but whats that gotta do with the island/swan station? :s

  • [facepalm]

  • LOL

  • Also {facepalm}

  • it actually only represents that the incident happened..that it always happened, that it is one of those events in time that cannot be changed, unlike smaller detail....the incident has to take place.

  • well, if they changed the past then that will impact the future, thats obvious isnt it

  • oh i guess the flash sideways doesnt exist then! because jack throwing jughead into the shaft caused the timeline to branch off into the flash sideways so youre theory is wrong.

evidence for this is the dharma houses on sunken island and ben and dad leaving the island in flash sideways in the evacuations prior to the incident

  • Michael shot Hurley's girlfriend when he let ben go while trying to rescue Walt, he also shot Ana Lucia

  • That all island is mystery..not only the stations

  • I LOVE this show but DAMN is it confusing. Good title though. Im "LOST"

  • @stephenmelton34 Dude download or buy all the seasons together and watc them continously, its so damn cool

  • wait so they make that video after the incident in the final chapter of the last season???

ohh and i always have this question.. jej what happened with Hurley's girlfriend??? cuz she was in the hospital too, just like him (its a mystery) thx

  • I have that question too...

  • Can see you are not a Lost fan, because your question is very simple... My recommendation is, watch all the seasons and all the caps, otherwise you will never understand what's going on the show. Is not confusing if you don't miss the pieces.

  • really man, i really dont know what happened with hurley's girlfriend, before she dies on the island obviously jej, i have only that question :/ :P

  • Well, dead is dead.

Smokey (or someone else) cant take the form of the people (as Christian or Yemi) to fool the losties.

  • isn't he dr edgar halliwax as well??? always thought these were just a red herrign and not very important, especially if you watch his casualness in because you left, s5 premiere

  • AN INCIDENT!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! not to give anything away to the people who just started... but at the end of season 5....

  • is that the ying-yang simbol?it looks like this...

  • it is!

  • what happens if they dont enter the code?

    Im watching season2

  • at first i thought nothing, but it actually gets an electromagnetic anomaly

  • electromagnetic explosion

  • "an incident"

  • he is Dr,.Mark kandle or Dr.pierre chang ?

  • dr marvin candle, mark wickman, and edgar halliwax are all dr pierre chang, just different names for security most likley.

  • Yes. I think he has much more names....

  • this is film 3 of 6

  • 4 8 15 16 23 42

  • the introducing music is the BEST XDDD

  • jajajjaa i LOVE it sooo much too XDD

  • @mitsukixfan

Does anyone know where you can download it from? Ha, I love it!

  • Have you noticed this guy's one eyebrow? It's always lifted.

  • so, all the losties survive the incident, because doctor chang did

  • you rally need to watch the show there JJ26woop.

  • ive seen every episode thankyou

  • Maybe the bomb wasn't 'the incident' we are all thinking of, or it could be and all the bomb did was replace the 'bubble' around the anomoly leaving a hole where the explosion occured, this being the vent that must be purged every 108 minutes? Too many questions and fewer answers, that seems to be the LOST philosophy.

  • Strange...did anyone notice him saying that the incident happened after the first experiments? But in S5 when the bomb goes off the swan isn´t even built, yet.......

  • Radzinsky would have conducted experiments at the site before the station and while it was being built, why else would they be drilling there.

  • chang has a fake arm cuz in season 5 it was pinned by metal... which means he lived through the bomb long enough to make this movie...

  • Jack's plan to detonate the nuke (and the skirmish that followed as a result) caused Chang to injure his arm. It seems that Jack hasn't changed the past at all.

  • It's cool that we all had found out what the 'incident' was, 245 days, 2 hours, 16 mins till season 6!

  • Look he has a fake arm!!!

  • damn thats freaky after seeing the s5 finale thats good spotting
