But if we were to take everything written as literal in meaning and not as spiritual in meaning some would find it somewhat confusing, an example is having to believe God needed a rest to be refreshed…..Exodus 31, 17. Israel followed a perpetual covenant as a sign by using days, but could it be that even those creation days in scripture you mentioned were of spiritual meaning and not of literal meaning of the 24 hour day?
It is kind of good to see when an atheist who began his speaking on his side somewhat arrogantly and confidently in the beginning quickly became quiet and essentially converted his answers into non-answers. Instead of answering affirmatively he ended saying that "it doesn't seem believable" as his main answer. Shows that to give good answers you have to actually study the beliefs of the opponent.
I've not add one thing to Genesis 1: 1, 2, but it's before Genesis 1: 3, 4,.....it's before divided the light from the darkness. What,.....did Jesus say to the disciples don't ask qusions because it's adding to God's word through making enquiry?
Genesis 1: 3, 4.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
And you don’t find it strange it looks to be we are still in the seventh day, and therefore they could be God’s days? The day and night just to signify the passing of time, maybe?
Jesus redeemed humans from sin, through him we are saved by faith, he proved man could live on the Earth without sin even to the death. What remains to be proven is mankind will be destroying itself on the Earth by not following God, if mankind knew God existed for sure, not just by faith, then it would not be proven that mankind can’t go on without God, that is an answer to why God has allowed suffering for the time being………..somewhat not an unknown reason.
I love that when atheists fail in their arguments, they will always retreat to attacking God's character thus confirming the validity of the Bible (Romans 1:18)
You know, at Oak Ridge National Laboratory they did a carbon dating test on some Dinosaur bones and they came back as only a few thousand years old. Needless to say the atheists did NOT like that so what did they do? they threw the results out and used methods that can very over 150 million years from each other. Atheists are allso the people who said the remains of a donkey skull was the "missing link" between ape and humen. And they think there smarter? God bless.
@UrielOmega This is highly unlikely; carbon dating by definition is only good out to about 40,000 years. Beyond that point the amount of carbon-14 left in anything organic is pretty much zero, thus making measurement impossible. If you were to carbon date something that died a million years ago, you would get an age of about 40 to 50 thousand years - but you'd know that you were using a type of test that was inappropriate. Like weighing a 10-lb object on a 1-lb scale.
why can't politicians debate like this? respectful, showing their side of things instead of only saying "you shouldn't vote for this person because..."
@escapingplatoscave I also think theistic evolution is wrong. I am more inclined to believe the arguments for a young earth are greatly valid, but won't expect my fellow brothers in Christ to believe in creation. This matter falls in 2nd level plane. Knowing about Jesus and getting salvation from the Lord is our priority.
When Dr Dacey approached by the evidential line with the birthday and the absent mate, my heart smiled both bcuz of Dacey's futile argument and bcuz of God's majestic gift of salvation 2000 years ago :D
It's funny how atheists try to take credit for all the scientic inventions, but in reality they offered NOTHING scientific. However they DID offer the death of 100M innocent human beings.

What do you say about Genesis 1: 1, 2, it looks to be before earth days?
Genesis 1
1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

If it goes contrary to scripture, than it is wrong.

@OrganicKing Atheism has absolutley nothing to do with science. It's a common misconception perpetrated by these foot soldiers for Satan.
