Most of the reviews I've seen (L.A. Times and Entertainment Weekly included) loved this album. They said it's a bit retro with a current sound and of course a singer who can, you know, sing!

i was reading some reviews on the albums.....alot of the writers thought that the album sounds dated....and comes across flat....i have listen to it a few times...and i like it the more i listen to it....expesically track 1)Fundemental Things......excellent

we must remember that the only reason why melinda didn't win was that she didn't appeal to the younger audience....that doesn't mean that she's not a good singer or that she's boring. she just has a very mature talent that leans toward an older throwback style of music....would she be singing bubblegum pop or r&b, NO!!!! She knows where she belongs as an artist. either this or gospel

i'm surprised her CD has taken so long to come out, and I wonder if it ever will...

there's a reason she was a backup singer prior to coming onto idol-she has a very good voice! she should continue being a backup singer, or maybe try broadway as many past idols have done.

I think this crazy, rollercoaster economy changed lots of plans by record companies and artists, including Melinda's wish to offer a Christmas CD. But I'm not mad - because Christmas is here every year, but there's only one debut! ;-)
