Personally, I like the Wii first person controls better over dual analog. It adds accuracy to aiming. It seems almost as accurate as a keyboard and mouse. I think Wii pointer controls is one of the best things about Wii.

It's a comfort thing, I can't sit and play slouching in the corner with Wii controls, but with pad controls I can.

And as I discovered the other day after sitting playing Metroid for about 10 hours straight, your back doesn't half kill you when you're sitting bolt upright with your arms hovering for said 10 hours.

When you've got a choice between pointer controls or analogue, then I go for analogue every time.

It's never going to beat Mosue And Keyboard because while the pointer can sometimes be accurate, the stupid motion controls ruin your aim.

Who's bright idea was it to make a pointer that has to be pointed at the screen to aim, and then you have to shake the thing with the pointer in it, to reload?

The Conduit is actually a really fun game. Comin from a guy who played 30 days of COD4, The Conduit is a nice addition to have so you have to give it a try. I mean, it has its little problems, but for a Wii game, it has set a high standard. I mean, on other console these standards are nothing, but it's an enjoyable, fun title with amazing controls. Online is greatly fun too, but it's old school style like you said: Halo, Perfect Dark, and GoldenEye. By all mean, there's nothing wrong with that.

Well you see, I hated COD 4 too, lol.

Well Halo and PD are IMO nothing alike, because PD is more advanced than Halo as it's not just run and gun.

For a Wii game it still seems a high standard as you say, but when you've got a P.C it's still of a lower standard of FPS and ultimately, that's what I'm now thinking.

If I ever find it for cheap enough I'll get it, but £30-40 for 6 hours (Don't like online so I'd only play the single player) just doesn't seem worth it.

Haha, don't like COD4? Wow, my personal opinion, that game is probably one of the best FPS in this genre. Yeah, this game isn't your thing then if you're into single player which is disappointed. The only thing that really shines is its multiplayer which you're not into and like you said it, just a run and gun, so all in all, you probably won't like it. Haha.

Lol i agree its a bit like halo. but the online mode is pretty robust. no lag and its quite a good game. i really enjoyed the games soo id definitely recommend it. especially because the controls are soo tight. you should try it out but it is a bit like halo i guess. except no ridiculous jumping

It's the sitting bolt upright that does it. I also have to hold my arms up due to the where the T.V is compared to me. So to actually get any accuracy I have to hold it up.

All in all, Wii controls are nothing compared to Mouse and Keyboard, so I'd rather every game come with analogue support. Because at least that way I can play an inferiour FPS control scheme in comfort XD

Well Onslaught has better Wiimote controls and has a MUCH better single player mode. This, splitscreen multiplayer, bots and classic controls.

But all in all, it's probably best to save your points for now.

Great review Demon. Just so you know, the Classic Controller is much better if you buy the grips for it. They're like $3 dollars over here. So worth it. Believe me. Especially for prolonged play.
