There's a trick to it.

Normally, as your tower grows higher, it starts to sway back and forth and finally collapses. That's because all the unused balls are near the top of the tower, where they naturally go. Their weight makes the tower sway. So in order to NOT have them near the top, you need to build faster when you're about half way up and not give the balls time to catch up, as you see in this video. Once you reach the exit, your tower becomes completely stable.

Eh, its possible. I did it this morning and saved 77. Its just a timing thing. You need to make sure that the middle of your pyramid (before you go to a single structure at around 0:41 seconds) is higher than your outer edges. This will help with the stability before you rush to the top. Good luck

A tip for 86 (much easier than 89 which is possible)

Build the first goo slightly up from the top right goo connecting both top goos.

Build a goo connected to the 2 top right goos further to the right

make a line between the latest goo and the bottom right

now a goo to the ground connected to the same goos.

Build straight up fast and wide, balance by throwing goos against the structure :D

Actually, collecting 89 goo is possible when building a thin tower straight up, but then you have to nudge the tower to avoid it from tipping over until most of the goo has entered the pipe.

But you can also do the difficult "line throwing" technique which can award you 100 or even more goo.

hey thanks, this is the only video for this level that helped. i think the trick is you just gotta be really fast so the goo balls don't weigh the top of your structure and make it sway. Thanks again :)

I know nobody is going to believe me when i say this but i just did this level, following the vid, and screwed up the base, decided to carry on and by pure luck managed to get 80 collected! A nice tip is that if you build the base slightly off center to the right it actually helps

£16 for World of Goo, I paid that, I'm a student... Sometimes I have money, I have a job but other times I don't (don't work when I have exams)...

So, if I want to relax with a game like WoG which looked good, and I didn't have the £16 I would just pirate it.
