  • In my opinion the unrest in London/UK was originally a localised incident between the police and the black community that spread rapidly as the police decided not to be heavy handed and held back as the violence escalated. For the first couple of days every tv scene had incidents happening and the police in a line watching. It soon became obvious people thought they could get away with looting etc..Once the police numbers were heavily increased and they were allowed to be proactive it ceased.

  • Oh, and David Cameron is/was trying to restrict our internet now because it's the internet's fault this happened (not the fact he's cut and cut policing budgets). I can't find out what's happening with that as the BBC never published it. Last I heard, Al Jazeer told me he was getting praised for his plans for a "great firewall" by China. Yay democracy! I can't wait to get out the country - there's a lot of bad politics happening here, we're going to crash and burn soon.

  • Good to see you making videos again, I was going to talk about this myself but wound up leaving it too late. Personally, I don't think the people rioting were doing it for political reasons - they were doing it because they new the police were under-resourced and couldn't stop them so they could get free stuff. For the most part, the rioting was not good neighbourhoods, they're pretty violent and it was all very opportunistic. Well, that's my opinion anyway.

  • They haven't rioted in America yet. The media is blacking it out, for safety reasons. I mean, the government has enough on there hands right now. They don't need an American revolution to deal with as well. I personally believe that if the media hyped it up, there would be a lot of riots, instead of peaceful demonstrations. Just my thoughts, I could be wrong.
