@CorkKNIFE MAGAZINE is for a Rifle, Hence how the Magazine Sticks out of the RIFLE and or an EXTENDED MAG , A CLIP Goes Into A Pistol , So the "CLIP" Is never seen.

@yamaharider112 This nomenclature has been well settled for over a century. The enclousure were you put cartridges in is a magazine, a clip is just that, a (usually metal) clip which holds a few cartridges toghether (see any old war movie). The clip (usually) flies out of the rifle when empty.

The only place where there seems to be some 'debate' about this is on the internet. Sorry.
