I never really got why people thought Keanu was a bad actor until I heard the opening narration for this scene. Just awful. No emotion or sincerity in it at all.

@manaburn he's supposed to be that way in here. His character is supposed to be a bit of a prick to most people, watch how he talks to/treats certain friends of his, even Rachel Weisz later on.

@BraunMachine05 There's a difference between playing the role of someone who's bitter and world weary, and being a deadpan actor. Constantine isn't a jerk, he's just tired of it all, but in the end, you know he has a conscience and that he cares. Keanu Reeve's acting was awful, I didn't feel anything from him - positive or negative emotions. It's like he's reading a box of cereal.

@manaburn If you don't think Reeves can act, check out his role in Devil's Advocate or The Gift. But IMO Reeves was okay in here, I couldn't see him playing a guy who is a dick to everyone or playing a guy who doesn't care. I liked him in here and the fact that he ends up caring in the end.
