To me, the left image seems to have better dynamic range (more detail in the shadows) and also (perhaps) a little less noise and compression artifacts.
@phrankus2009 Yep, but the image on the left is enormous in size compared to the one on the right. The difference is just shy of 200mb difference between the two files, so I'm going to be exporting using 1024-2048 kbits/sec depending on how much movement exists.

I think you can safe use 1500 kbs average bitrate, 2 pass. 3 passes if you maniacal ^_^

quite frankly, more of your bandwidth would go towards colr saturation and depth, at 720/30P/24P ...
... considering the screen-size of average YT viewer ... and avg bandwidth for same ...
... I'd go with Hi-Q single-pass at the lower rez ... 1080 is a total waste ! (imo).
