Most people in theUK are not even aware of K-1, the UFC meanwhile is growing in popularity, but so many people just don't get the grappling side of it ("why are they hugging?") It pisses me off that many of the people who claim to like MMA only like the brawling, like those idiots who were shouting stand them up while Brock was killing Mir with FUCKING BEAUTIFUL G&P. Both sports KTFO boxing for excitement and quality. Any mediocre K-1 or UFC fighter would destroy even the best boxer. Great video

thats a bit different. The MMA fighter came into the fight 50 pounds over his usual weight and after a year-long layoff after being demolished in the first minute of a title fight. That 48 year old former world champion boxer also lost to Kimbo, the definition of mediocre MMA fighter.

There are rules and refs, so it isn't a REAL fight if you can't knee the guy in the balls, rip his nostrils open or shatter his knee.

And the whole "put a boxer in an MMA fight" argument is pathetic to begin with. Of course a boxer will lose. A boxer is trained to lose that fight. As an MMA fighter is trained to lose a boxing match.
