  • SHE IS MARRIED TO PAUL SIMON...FROM..'hello darkness my old friend"

  • Edie recently released a CD called The Heavy Circles. You should pick up a copy. It's fantastic. Edie is set to release a CD under the title "The Gaddabouts" with drummer Steve Gadd, guitarist Andy Fairweather Low and bassist Pino Pallidino. It should be out this year. Yaaaaay!

  • this wears fantastic - Edie's the real deal - a thousand times more talented than wut there is today

  • gotta love it

  • No one could ever do a better job than Edie.Fucking love this song!

  • i second that!!!!!!!! i blast this song when i hear it...windows down and all!!

  • i love this song!!! .i'm 19 and songs today just dont have much weight or meaning or reason to them anymore back then was when music really meant somthing and made statments

  • dude I know exactly what you mean!

i'm 18, and the music of today doesn't even compare to the music that was sooo good back then!

  • i remeber this from the movie pizza boy

  • Hell Yeah Eddie!

  • very, very, good song.

  • dear Jose, this is for you... i know how much you loved this song, and Eddie B.. i remember this playing in some of our last times together. it says it all; its as simple and deep as you where and as you may be now. love

  • I love this song... it takes me back to my high school memories..... I used to sing this song when I decided to came out to my classmates.. Thanks Eddie!

  • my mom and i'd sing this when i was like 3 or 4 b4 she passed...rip ma!

  • I miss 90's music soooooooooooooooo much. :'(

  • My teacher played this for us. and now I'm kinda hooked =]

  • Yeah, okay, brilliant track. Less than amusing that 'Baby spice' Emma Bunton covered this. I mean, has that little girl ever been chucked in the shallow water?

  • my dad Monte Krause was the Manager of this band in the 80's.

  • Jesus...was this nearly 20 years ago? I feel old and tired.

  • I know what you mean. I saw them back then when they appeared at an album signing at a local record store. Cool song.

  • :( I'm sorry

  • i was 14 when this came up...but i still ain't old,you should feel good instead

  • No you're like thirty something now, you're old. :(

Also I rule and am young.

but baby spice is singing it now? guk'

  • I love this song so much! It's so relaxing.

  • Where did she go????? She married Paul Simon. Then NOTHING. Love this band---

Flash in the pan, one hit wonders.

  • i believe this song is about abuse (child)

  • I think that you are confusing this song with Susan Vega's "Luka" song. They do kinda sound similar.

  • Idiots on record companies still keep the disgusting habit to not allow "embebed" video. We can't share or put this video on our blogs. I don't understand since we do not have any commercial interest.

  • it's so hippy but I love it.

And it makes a lot of sense.

  • I know what I know if you know what I mean...

  • yes.they are the words.

  • Knowing IS NOT ENOUGH!

  • THis is such a .... "chill" song

  • Where did she go????? She married Paul Simon. Then NOTHING. Love this band.

  • asked edie to marry me but being that i was 14 at the time i got rejected......its going to be another lonely teary night,...............im o.k......lol!

  • people who point out spelling mistakes may have good intentions just a thought perhaps its all how we look at things. Maybe they are trying to feel like less then with grammar rules but who gives a fuck remember to breathe.

  • opps i made a mistake there was supposed to be a make you feel less then with the grammar thing

  • emma sings it better,?.......wow!...emma sings great dont get me wrong but this is THE version!

  • Rather ironic that this song is about the sort of people who would not understand the meaning of the lyrics...those who "know hat they know if you know what I mean"...LOL

  • Can't even spell her name right it's Edie.

  • This singer ripped off Popeye.

  • that's funny

  • GREAT SONGWRITTING, GREAT SONG, GREAT SINGER,LOVE YA EDDIE.........i hope that this fog of superficial shit that has enveloped music lifts soon.this song sets a mood invokes thought .......nice

  • i like this song but what the hell is she talking about

  • very old philosopical theories and principles.

  • "I know what I know if you know what I mean"

    No I don't, bitch.

  • She means she "knows" how to fuck. Damn your daft. or not.

  • if u don`t understand u r not what u r ;) I am german and i understand everything..its really clear what the message is! I know what i know! I believe in me! and nothin else!

  • I love this song with a passion. It makes total sense.

  • my mom says that this song makes no sense at all

    but i understand it perfectly

    silly mum

  • the big sense

  • Hey, 3cc3h0m0, I dunno if you noticed, the person the group is named after is *Edie*, NOT *Eddie*. Y'know, basic 3rd grade spelling, here. Her name is "Edie". "Eddie" is a guy's name. I'm sure even you will agree that she looks nothing like a guy.

I noticed on all her other videos you created you also spelled it "Eddie". That is so dumbass...

    Practice, now... "Edie" (one 'd')...

    E-d-i-e.... E-d-i-e....

A few more times and I'm sure you'll get the hang of it. Then go fix them.

  • wow, we get it, do you really have to paint us a picture. person makes a mistake and they get the third degree...(shrug*)

  • This jam makes you groove...it's gotta good vibe.

  • this is a fantastic song, just wish i could get the code to put it in my blog in yahoo. ah well had to do with emma from the spice girls singing it. but this one is just classic.

  • I don't know if this is a joke or a true story...but some friends of mine went to a concert that featured Paul Simon and Bob Dylan back in the 90s. The post show discussion centered around how that even though Simon and Dylan are the same age, Dylan looks so much older. The answer, they determined, is that while Dylan goes home with Jack Daniels, Simon goes home with Edie Brickell.

  • I would guess thats true

  • Her husband is lucky I was only 3 when this song came out.

  • new edition smaple this beat for their Home Again album in 1996...song was called Something About You

  • Come on, people. It's "Edie Brickell".

  • awesome...truth is truth ...forever

    e

  • I really liked Eddie and the Bohemians, I don't kow why they didn't go very far...

  • This song came out in 1988 in the height of heavy metal, rap and girls singing in malls. edie brickell and the bohemians were ahead of their time.

  • Beauty women... I love this song as all production Eddi Brickell :)))

  • I was in college when this hit MTV. The debut album, "Shooting Rubberbands at the Stars" changed my life forever. It was the dawn of a new era in my life.

  • I love this song!

  • She looks like Jennifer Jason Leigh.

  • Is she high?

  • LOVE it!!

  • Me like a lot! :D

  • i lyk dis song itz kwl

  • The instrumental part to this song is intriguing. Instead of the standard bluesy angle, the New Bs take a jazz approach. The chords, solo and the jazzy groove in general make this song a rarity in popular music. I remember the instrumental part moreso than the lyrics, especially the distinct phrasing in the guitar solo, that wah-wah pedal was crazy.

  • Mmm.. yes ,the points you raise are indeed, certainly valid, but this doesn't distract from the fact that you're a twat.

  • Congratulations on a great rocknroll ear. The guitar soloist for the New B's was Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. Check out 'Fire on the Mountain'. Peace,

  • Beautiful lady, no tarty make-up or slutty clothes, gorgeous natural hair.

  • Totally agree, and isn't she married to some famous film director?

  • you wish....

  • haha probs a hairy beast haha

  • yeah right - then what's the tattoo on her back say?

  • this song is great! beautiful and catchy, something that modern hiphop, rap, and pop cant possibly reproduce anymore...

  • good tune..we're all entitled to our opinion

  • So hippie. She's married to Paul Simon too. I find that mind boggling. Great song. Groooovy.

  • Isn't he too old for a beard?

  • No it's not Paul Simon, it's some really cool director or something.

  • yes its paul from "SIMON AND GARFUNKEL" ...is her husband....

  • yeah it is paul simon.

  • To HeyItsMeJojo: Before you play music critic and call Edie's lyrics "nestalgic jibberish", LEARN HOW TO SPELL! Jesus, no wonder you can't understand Edie's lyrics YOU'RE A DUMB-ASS with a 2nd grade education.

  • Groovy and cool, yeah.

  • yes my retarded grand father loved this song, whenever it played I would feed him with bigger spoons. He play it alot.

  • L ove this song!!! I remember when I was small kid in Mexico, my older sister use to listen this song and I really liked it.ohhh!! Is long time ago... I'm getting old!!, but I love listen this song in the pubs, it's lovely!!!
