  • i was downtown that night gettin drunk with my girl loretta price

  • 14 dislike are from Al-Qaeda members.

  • @fontanaman13 i'm sorry but it's a video of a bunch of kids that were too young to even remember the collapse of the soviet union.

they lived through the most peaceful decade in history, they think 9/11 is significant compared to every other tragedy because it's the only tragedy they have lived to see that has ever affected them. i kind of pity them, but as the chinese say: "may you live in interesting times."

  • this is freaky

  • Ha! I saw myself, so I am now famous.

  • in other news there was a major decline in grades during the the spring semester at wvu. this decline has been attributed to news of bin laden"s death lol. I would of been celebrating as well had the news came 2 days earlier or 2 days latter. but i have invested way to much money in college to waste it. so instead i celebrated latter on for killing my finals and bin laden. lol

  • Wow some people just have no clue! Were not just all rednecks this is a wvu tradition. Something great happens we burn a couch. It happens for big games and other big events at least our students celebrated this happening. Im guessing most other schools were like a ghost town and most college aged people didnt even know about this. I am proud to be a Mountaineer. And to top it off this was during finals week.

  • We no longer believe the Muslim menace...catholic are worst, subtle.

Bin Laden killed by US Army? What a liars...

Stay at home, and no one get hurt, you Americans & muslim.

...otherwise you both go to battle on the moon.

  • hell yeah this is what us west virginian's are like. now i dont go to wvu, but i do know many people tht go there and i was there watching and singing. hell yesss wvu!

  • Now, we know what Nazis look like

Now we know where Nazis came from

do u see how easily people believe lies?

See how people are swayed for hopes of a better life and for favors and with no job prospects in this economy except for killing arabs and muslims after false flag attacks?

    Shameful.

  • The ameriCANs are like pigs: good only after beheaded...

  • @Zanarkander Italians are like goats... get fucked over by muslims...

  • @KeKLENKE We no longer believe the Muslim menace...catholic are worst, subtle.

Bin Laden killed by US Army? What a liars...

Stay at home, and no one get hurt, you Americans & muslim.

...otherwise you both go to battle on the moon.

  • This just shows how people are not that different in US and Middle East.

  • "I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."

  • @m00ninite86 peace well never come... the sooner you realize this the better off you will be.

  • As a person who went to college during the Vietnam War (an attended anti-war protests), watching todays college students have rallies supporting our troops and the killing of Bin laden just shows HOW THE TIMES HAVE REALLY CHANGED...

I don't support the fires, but - IT SHOULD BE FORGIVEN - THIS WAS A GREAT DAY FOR AMERICA AND PRESIDENT OBAMA!!!

  • this is all too fake, TOO MANY COINCIDENCES, i was awake when the news was released at 4am, y all so suddenly, and while everyones conveniently asleep, and y rush him off to sea with no photos coz its "islamic" when islam FORBIDS SEA BURIALS!!! QUESTION THE SITUATION YOU FUCKING STUPID PEOPLE

  • @urbanpoems He is buried at sea so nobody can worship at his grave site... don't worry they got proof (dna evidence, photos, etc)

  • @KeKLENKE yes but, the question is, have we got proof they got proof?

  • Love My city !!

  • My name is SPC Scott Boso and I approve this message.

  • ew so glad I graduated from WVU last year. "Let's get wasted" and "eat shit Pitt" are totally intelligent statements to make in between "USA, USA".

  • Death to the terrorists yeaahhhh!!!!... only need to kill 2 of the major terrorists more, Clinton and Bush

  • While his death really won't change anything.... at least some money gets injected back into the local economy with natty light, bud heavy, gasoline, and replacement furniture.

  • WVU <3

  • @jadedchron I'm trying to make a point that all americans, whether they knew someone who died at 9/11 or not, were all effected. This hits home to our age group. We grew up with this guy all over the media. I'm just trying to justify this celebration.

  • Whether it's a conspiracy or not....Running through the streets, chanting & waving flags on national television to be aired all around the world is revolting. I'm ashamed to be an American!

  • @shwilla you're pathetic, this shows are how strong we are as a nation, im gald people waving flags and being patriotic makes you ashamed

  • Comment removed

  • @shwilla wtf lol how is that revolting...its called being proud of your country

  • @hiboyjc Please keep the celebration in your living room!!! If I have to explain why videos like

these just fuel the fire & lead to further anti-american sentiment then I shouldn't waste my time.

  • WVU sucks lol..

  • @m00ninite86 Oh yeah. Great argument. Wow. There is just no comeback to that.

  • burning couches, a morgantown tradition

  • Bumper Sticker words & an excuse to party for these that do not know the cause for serving their Country.

  • proof that it is always appropriate to chant "eat shit pitt"

  • what are they burning?

  • @LadyBellatrix13 a Couch (:

  • What is that thing in the that's on fire?

I just can't make out what it was

  • @scionfan123 a couch (:

  • Wow, that looks good, greetings from you german allies.

  • @Rag0 Greetings back to ya!

  • @doooomination I totally agree with you man. But what do you expect from college students ranging from the ages of 18-22??? We grew up in the generation of the war on terrorism where Osama was repeatedly all over the media. How were we not supposed to celebrate?

  • QUOTES FROM THE REPUBLIC-

"For the most part, participants were jubilant, nondestructive and respectful of authorities," said WVU spokeswoman Becky Lofstead. "But it's clear that a small minority were not."

"They were not confrontational in any way at all toward the officers," Lantz said. "In fact, our officers said the crowds moved where they were asked to move."

"They were just loud, boisterous, but behaved," he said.

"There was no major property damage in the latest round of fires"

  • WOWWWWW the comments on here are RIDICULOUS. No matter the event at hand it's a college tradition to burn a couch. If you knew anything about the university, it's history, or it's culture you should have known that a couch would have been burned in light of the death OF THE MOST WANTED TERRORIST IN THE WORLD. We were simply celebrating and will guarantee that all 37,000 students at WVU appreciate the sacrifices that our troops have made overseas. DO

  • @ziehm73 you are so out of tune my friend. If you knew anything about the culture in Morgantown your opinion would be much different. In any type of celebratory event it's tradition to burn a couch. It's been like that for decades. The college students in Morgantown are only following suite. We all appreciate the efforts of our troops over seas. When WVU students celebrate its tradition to burn a couch. REGARDLESS OF THE EVENT at hand. Get the fucking stick out of your ass man.

  • I love reading all of the comments from idiots either belittling this generation or all of the West Virginia stereotype jokes. Fact is, colleges across the nation did this exact same thing, except no one else knows how to party like WVU. As for burning shit, it's simply what we do to celebrate anything. Therefore, shit got burned. The West Virginia stereotypes do make me sad however, not because it hurts my feelings, but rather the lack of intelligence exhibited by those who use them.

  • @DakotaRT1989 really? because every single video from every single college looks exactly the same. i went to WVU, don't get me wrong, but maybe you haven't been to many other colleges if you really believe that we somehow party harder than any other state school with 30,000+ kids

  • @bpjoyce10 I think you missed my point. I was not debating our rank as a party school, I was justifying how we choose to celebrate, i.e. burning shit. Which you should know all about since you went there. I was speaking to those who think West Virginia is all toothless, imbred rednecks as well as those who think my generation as a whole from a video of drunk college students celebrating the death of the world's most hunted and hated man.

  • @DakotaRT1989 yeah i understand that. my concern was that WVU students didn't really care what the celebration was about. i'm not saying current college students wouldn't remember or care about 9/11. i'm only 25, so i was 15 when it happened, and i'm actually pretty disgusted with those people saying that an 11 or 12 year old wouldn't remember 9/11 or understand what it meant, because if anything, it's affected them their entire life. but it doesn't take much to set college students off

  • @bpjoyce10 I was there. Americans love America for whatever it's worth. Bin Ladin attacked America, and so these college students did care that it happened, but they also like to get wild and celebrate. I am not condoning every which way some people celebrated, but I have no doubt that most of them from what I saw were not happy because they could be part of a wild crowd, but they were legitimately happy that the man behind 9/11 was no more. It was like a ghost over America.

  • @bpjoyce10 yeah. we were number one party school in the nation one year. It's by percentage of kids that party, not total. Its cause morgantown is so small theres not much else to do

  • Only the pathetic students at WVU would take what should be a celebration of an US victory and turn it into chants of "Eat Shit Pitt" and "Let's get wasted" I fear for our future as a nation.

  • where greatness is learned and couches are burned. Congrats students, I am so proud of all of you! Lets win a National Championship and burn some shit next year!

  • Dead or alive, we just like to burn shit.

  • "Spoiled Brats" ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME???? I was in the 7th grade when the trade tours were struck...I've seen my mother cry three times in my entire 22 years of living. The first two where when her brother and father died of cancer and the third time was on 9/11. I came home from school and she was in tears. In fear for friends and family that may have been affected. Calling us "spoiled brats" is FUCKING PATHETIC. We grew up in this generation of war. We deserve to celebrate.

  • @dac7 No offense, but what does your mom's crying have to do with anything?

Every generation in America for quite a while now has grown up under war to some degree.

  • To all you people who are saying that WVU doesn't actually care about Bin Laden dying or that we don't even remember September 11th- You guys don't know WVU's history. Whenever we are elated about something...we burn a couch. It is part of this school's history. WVU students are NOT spoiled brats simply bc we go to school. Get off your high horse! What did you do to celebrate? A golf clap to yourself and then went back to sleep? We live 3hrs away from D.C. so we did the best we could. Deal!

  • @CodiMensah Maybe because there is nothing to truly celebrate when this isn't the end of terrorism or the end of our troops being in the middle east. WVU is more often than not out of control and this video makes us in America look no different than the masses in the streets over there chanting and burning things.

  • @m00ninite86

We were not burning flags or saying death to any country or international leader, we were celebrating in a non-violent and fun way. We were celebrating the death of the mastermind behind September 11th. I would love to know where you go or went to school. I think you are jealous since these guys actually went our and showed their support for the country and you sat on your fat butt eating chips wishing you had friends. Get a life and stop hating on ours.

  • @CodiMensah u all suck for celebrating death in that way.. obivisouly u really dont remeber 9/11. i bet osama didnt do shit to a single one of u college brats

  • @slime419 he did something to our country and all of Islam cheered. This is a fitting way to celebrate that scums death. Ding Dong the bitch is dead and may he burn in the hottest part of hell. If you dont like it move to Pakistan asshole

  • @CodiMensah and no thats not a shot at wvu cause i love morgantown andlived there

  • A Rich Saudi Dies Of Old Age.

    America Takes Credit.

Hahah, war of terror called due to players not showing up.

  • @Turtleproof

you're probably right...only one thing to do...kill more ragheads

  • On one hand I wish I was there, on the other I'm glad I was safe and sound in South Park. Love you Mountaineers!!!

  • What do you think of this video Pissed Off Dumb Redneck Conservative?

"Git er Done!! Glad we killed that sum bitch let's burn a couch and drink sum bur. Just lemmie get my boots!"

What do you think Know-It-All Liberal Hippy Douche?

"Well really if you analyze the crowd you can tell that 47% of the people are just drunk. I think it's a disgrace to America to act like this. Hold on.. just let me get this stick a little further into my anus. There! now that feels better!"

  • Get 'em eers!!!! -3

  • People really have a problem with us celebrating the death of the world's most notorious terrorist? REALLY?! If you have an issue with this you should pack up your shit and leave this country.

  • @YCOCeanAvenue812 Personally, I am not into really celebrating the death of someone. However, I definitely celebrated people's happiness, waved at people who honked, and saluted the flag. But, as a politically aware guy, I feel Binladin was a CIA-Saudi experiment that went wrong, and so many people died all over the world because of it, and I can't help but think of the soldiers that died. Am I sad he is dead? No way. Did I celebrate in a way? I more celebrated America and life.

  • To be realistic, Im sure a whole lot of us were already drunk and in the mood to burn stuff because of the last weekend of the semester, Bin laden was just a good enough reason to do it. I love this country and this town.

  • @AlfredFinkelstein People wanted to left off some steam. I definitely understand that. It's also Morgantown. Morgantown is not like other college towns. The police are more laid-back and so is the culture of the area. If this were Denton, Texas. It would not happen. I can't approve of burning a futon, but it is fun to watch. I am not sure also burning a car to celebrate someone who harmed America makes sense. Oh well... heh

  • 7 people are Pitt fans..

  • Anyway, the District was pretty cool. Lol I played the national anthem off of my patio!!

  • To all you guys who are so "offended and embarrassed" by our "immaturity": If you don't like it then don't watch!!!

  • @Dougerz You liberal morons have to find some way to bring politics into this. The celebrations all over the arab world when the towers came down pale in comparison to this. It's not like they are burning Pakistani flags or world leaders' images in effigy.

  • @Dougerz You are a disgrace.

  • @Dougerz go suck your own dick your cock loving faggot

  • Gee, i wonder why everyone in the world hates us. We have spoiled brat college kids burning shit when some guy got killed. I doubt we acted this way when Hitler was killed. No, celebrated all over but we weren't acting like spoiled arrogant brats. Cmon people.. The whole world sees this shit an rolls their eyes at your moronic actions.

  • @rloebe34 Who cares if other people in the world hate us. It's people like you that will end the US hegemony by retarding any efforts for advancement in fear of our image abroad. They will always hate us because they cannot be us.

  • Violence is no reason to celebrate. You people make me ashamed to share the human race with you.

  • @doooomination You should be ashamed that bin Laden's death doesn't elicit a stronger feeling of pride. If you don't feel hatred toward that monster, you're too far gone to even engage in debate.

  • @NCWV85

I'm glad he's gone, don't get me wrong. Of course I hated him.

However, I think celebrating his death is inane. He's gone, let's get on with our lives. I would have said the same thing about hitler had I been alive then. There's no reason to celebrate in my opinion. Violence breeds more violence.

  • @doooomination yeah violence, if youd have watched the news this morning you would have seen the chief of poliece say no property damage and no injuries, no one was out to hurt anyone last night

  • @reaperhockey1 The violence I was referring to was the murder of Osama Bin Laden. By celebrating his murder, we are condoning it.

  • @doooomination so it wasnt ok for us to kill the most dangerous man in the world? the man who has the blood of over 3,000 americans on his hands, this isnt muder its war, a war that the bin laden himself started

  • @reaperhockey1

I don't have a problem with the fact that he was killed. He was a danger to America, no doubt. However, I don't think it's okay to celebrate taking any person's life. We killed him, he can't do us any harm anymore. Let's move on and focus on the issues ahead of us.

  • @doooomination no lets not move on, the people need his right now, times are tough and we need some good news, we talked to group of about 10 armed serive members last night and they all said that this wasa huge morale boost and they were proud to see everyone out last night, this wasnt just a celebration of the death of osama but for all the hard work our men and women are doing over seas

  • i wonder how many of those kids even remember sept 11?

  • @kurczakcfh

the youngest of us was in the 4th grade at the time.

    We still remember.

  • @kurczakcfh every single on of them thats who

  • I understand that reputation is already largely based around partying (and I had my fun when I was there too), but there's also a fine line between a party school and a school full of immature kids who can't handle the responsibility of living on their own for the first time. While what happened in D.C. was about celebration our nation, something we haven't often had the chance to do recently, it looks like the Morgantown celebration was about drinking, something you always have the chance to do

  • @bpjoyce10 I guess you could argue that was their way of celebrating, and his death encouraged them party. I think it was also stress relief during finals.

  • @QUINTUSMAXIMUS yeah i'm sort of already rethinking my stance since i posted that. i think the difference is more that D.C. is full of politically saavy people, many of whom were living within a few miles of the pentagon on 9/11. while i certainly don't think that wvu students don't care about 9/11, i'm sure many of the people in this video really grasp what has happened. stress release during finals is a good thing, but if that's all this was, that's problematic

  • @bpjoyce10if you would have been there you would have seen the majority of kids were not drunk, i saw as many amrican flags as i did people drinking and it wasnt just kids its was people of all ages

  • @reaperhockey1 i'm glad to hear that, honestly. there were also some kids outside the white house talking about going to the bars, and i smelled weed a couple times too (probably not the best idea), so i know there were definitely people like that everywhere, but it's good to hear first hand that that WVU students seemed to understand that this means a lot more than winning a football game and getting trashed

  • @willh358 what happened at grant?

  • as a WVU alum and someone who grew up in and again lives in Washington, D.C., I have to say that I'm a little embarrassed by this video. After going to the celebration at the White House last night, it looks as if there is a fine line between the two celebrations, but it's one that was crossed. When things start to revolve around drinking and rioting, it diminishes the value of what happened and puts yet another stain on WVU's reputation.

  • @bpjoyce10 I see things a bit differently.... I am proud that college students even recognize the significance of bin Laden's death. They are young and elated, let them celebrate. Nobody was hurt.

  • @NCWV85 i can understand that. it just depends on how many of those kids were out to celebrate the death of a terrorist mastermind, and how many were out to celebrate loud noises and lots of people on high street on a sunday night. i'm sure that was also the case for some people in D.C. though, so it's not like i'm targeting morgantown and WVU specifically. i guess all i can hope for is that this inspires some of those kids from the former group to educate themselves more about world affairs

  • @bpjoyce10 Well, a lot of people started first driving and honking. Some people came out of the bars to join the crowd. A lot of people heard a lot of noise, so people came out. It's normal in Morgantown and since Morgantown has an active downtown that's the heart of the city, this is to expected.

  • I burn a couch I get a fine they burn a couch and get news headlines lmao

  • Grant was way crazier in comparison but damn this was awesome

  • TO THE BARS!!!

  • Go Mountaineers! YOU ARE THE BEST!

  • Looks an awful lot like any video I've ever seen of Muslims protesting the US.

  • there was a fire up on spruce too - -I love it college students celebrating their unity and patriotism in their own MoTown fashion - how many couches a year do you go thru?

  • 2 questions, what are they burning? And is that a guy kissing a guy @ 2:40 ?

  • Jesus... remind me to NEVER, EVER go to Morgantown, West Virginia.... fuck.

  • memories added to my sophomore year

  • USA the land of the sheep!

  • @misty1781 i couldn't agree more, really do people really think this guy was the reason the towers got hit, scary and sad how easily people can be convinced

  • this is how we study for finals in morgantown!!!

  • am i the only one who finds this out of place/excessive? i mean dure, this is a victory, but is it THAT exciting? and why does morgantown care?

  • @ssjgeon All of America should care... but okay.

  • @ssjgeon the whole country should care...

  • @ssjgeon nearly everyone, everywhere in the country has friends or family that have been hurt or killed fighting terrorism in Afghanistan and Pakistan and it feels good to finally have a victory to celebrate.

  • @ssjgeon why wouldn't they care? they're no different than the rest of the country

  • @ssjgeon watch the news, the whole world cares

  • <3

  • America, Fuck Yeah!!!

  • I am so fucking ashamed to be living in Morgantown and going to WVU right now. Jesus Christ.

  • @Syrisyin You sir/maam are a treasonous party pooper.

  • @Syrisyin

  • i really wish osama makes a new video mocking all the ppl in america who celebrated his death lol dont get me wrong i love america but i think that wouold be hilarius!

  • That's me at 2:32!!!

  • kinda sucks that we have finals today lol

  • Copper Beech was bumpin....5 dumpster fires and 1 couch fire...USA USA

  • i'll have better footage up here in the next couple hours!! ill do a video reply to this one!

  • Grant was raging tonight. I heard copper beach was too.

  • THANK YOU DA. I'M STUDYING ABROAD IN JAPAN, AND IT IS WONDERFUL TO SEE MY FELLOW MOUNTAINEERS CELEBRATE THIS NEWS. ALL CAPS FOR FUCKING RED WHITE AND BLUE WEEK
