  • best thing to do is to buy a vpn, especially from a swedish one. Although your download speed will certainly decrease, that is probably the safest way to torrent. Since your ip address will be based in Sweden, which is where piratebay is located.

  • if you want more protection, make a proxy on bittorrent with a daily randomized port.

  • this video was useless it didnt show any settings..it was just showing people how to do a standard install?? whats the point?

  • mines not downloading

  • Will this actually help reduce the chances of being caught?

  • ps,,most download sofware have an upload limiter,,,use that n youll be ok

  • forget peer blockers peeps.

most downloaders are caught from sharing,

the peeps that are sharing are what the cops are after.

i have downloaded allmost ever day over ten years and never had a problem,

the key is to clean your pc regularily with a programme such as ccleaner or glary utilties, .

and for downlods use a software programme that dont keep history, i suggest "utorrent" what u download u burn. then rewrite your hard drive to clear disc,,it's not rocket science,

  • @apollo1064 thanks alot bro but tís it the same for BitTrorent?

  • @apollo1064 And how is it supposed to work if no one shares, just leeches? You are the cancer that kills this world.

  • @ocm4r How are we suppose to share if WE ARE ALL IN JAIL. Think before you speak cancer boy.

  • @MsDonKink If your of average intelligence and somehow capable to use a PC you can circumvent it easily. Headword "VPN". Share more leech less.

  • Why is there so many universitys spying on my computer everything it blocks is a College?

  • just dont use the copies for re sale, use them for yourself, chances are if its a good movie you will buy it anyways. So fuck them.

  • Cool Background bro

  • Why do the police care so much about people stealing like $120 worth of games music and stuff? Shouldn't they be worrying about more important things than if somebody just stole skyrim and a beach boys cd?

  • @ApplaudedZebra If it is "stealing" then all copy machines need to be destroyed. Along with cameras, T.V., and the human brain along with it. I DARE them to bring me to court in front of an American jury. I don't believe people are going down over and over again, over the same thing that production, and distribution companies do on a regular basis. The artist NEVER makes the true money in this country, and the people they sue make absolutely 0 money from it.

  • to stop yourself getting caught u need a ip scrambler or vpn so "they" cant see that it is your computer

  • will it work wit skyrim???

  • @READAWAY What a dumb question.

  • @valdzu LMAO

  • Do you have a recommendation on what to use if not PeerBlock? @nmarkus666 or @ anyone really..?

  • Now, I see now why he disabled the ratings.

  • holly fuck im gettin phone calls becuz i downloaded skyrim for my pc

  • if i use pirate bay to download final cut pro x for my mac and i use peer block will i have a high chance of getting caught?

its only one thing i want to download

  • OK everyone...PEER BLOCK is only as reliable as YOU make it. You are responsible for updating and keeping track of the ip addresses on you blocklists.

  • How do they catch you?

Infected torrents. Once you download one a bot comes in and hacks. Luckily one trying to hack my data server where I torrent everything didn't even come close and it tried for a MONTH. I managed to block it with my bro's help.

  • How the hell do you get "Caught" downloading torrents? I torrent next to everything (Games, music, movies) and I NEVER got/get caught... Besides, if something like my ISP trys to come at me for downloading pirated software, I can come at them for invasion of privacy.

  • @Gmod1001 2 ways one is bandwidth usage and the second are trackers. Its not the downloading that gets you in trouble its when you seed. Which I do because i'm not a lamer. And good luck with the 'invasion of privacy' you are broadcasting it on their service and they can look at it if they want.

  • i don't use anything and i have never been caught, i'm living in uk, maybe they arn't as harsh? i use malware bytes, ms security essentials and tor. should i still use peer block?

  • @crudnup I don't know what the rules are in the UK, I'm in the US. I use utorrent, when you connect and start downloading a torrent any one can see your IP address, that's how they catch you here, I'm about 95% certain. When they see your IP address uploading a recent copyrighted movie, it's a crime and they send you a warning e-mail. I have 1 tip, send me a personal message if you are interested, I don't like talking in the comments section.

  • JUS use neighbors internet LOL

  • just use direct file sharing instead of P2P. Nobody's ever gotten caught.

  • @themeleed can you explain what that is? I'm sorry I'm just new to this.

  • @BXAssasinatorXS Yeah, it can get tricky though. Google tehparadox, that's a site I use (it has a community of over a million). It can be more time consuming than torrents, but it's a LOT safer (from my knowledge nobody's ever gotten in trouble)

  • will i stand a high chance of getting caught if i download a lot of music torrents?

  • @sasdori01 Maybe, send me a personal message for a tip, I don't like to talk in the comments section about this.

  • Where did you get the wallpaper

  • I recently built a new PC and have always used PeerBlock and a proxy server. Over the weekend I installed PeerBlock again but neglected to put in my proxy info and received my 3rd MPAA warning. So just a heads up that PeerBlock by itself does not make you safe.

  • @nmarkus666 can you please tell me how to set up a proxy or what to do?

  • @nmarkus666 What do you use to stay safe? I don't want to get caught but I cant resist downloading the latest games and movies on bittorrent before I buy them? Please help

  • @MrAMGvideos BTGuard.com seems like a scam but its really not. They have an awesome Proxy and i've used it for a long time. They even have an install now that will install UTorrent with the proxy info already put in so you dont have to worry about it.

  • @nmarkus666 Proxy info? Sorry, i'm not new to torrenting, but I am new to "safe torrenting". I don't want assholes breathing down my neck. Could you explain this a little more please.

  • Lol what where you watching in the background?

  • Comment removed

  • well the only thing i use torrents for is downloading linux so lol i am safe

  • lol, alienware.

  • If you use proxys, change them every time, and choose a random port, it is almost impossible to get caught

  • What are the chances of getting caught downloading something like adobe photoshop, sony vegas, or FL Studio 9 off of demonoid?

  • @EricAnimeBlog So less likely than a movie?

  • @skiingxmoose Dude dont be scare all u have to do is not tell anyone goverment aint gonna check u

  • use Tor or xerobank ...aka the onion router ..

  • should i run this programm every time i use my pc or only when i download something?

  • does this shit work?

  • why is HTP allowed?

  • Is this one of those VPNs? I used CyberGhost, and when I tried to connect, I think my internet connection went off. Like I couldn't get on AOL or anything, it was just stuck on the first step.

  • how in the world is it legal for some one to be evesdropping on what i do online, isn't there a law against invasion of privacy

  • @GOPrEvil that's not really how it works. Two ways, when you're downloading a torrent your IP address is show to be downloading from that particular torrent. Company's can track the IP address if they monitor the torrent, but they can only find out the ISP company you use and contact them, they can't find any personal information. Or they can bust the host of the torrent who might have a list of ip address's that have downloaded from him and systematically go through them all.

  • @GOPrEvil certain Internet services can monitor what you're downloading. My buddy's internet stopped working cause he was downloading a torrent and the company forced him to remove it from his computer. When you sign a contract they OWN you.

  • @MegaDeathwarrant How do they force you to remove it from your computer? Do they come to your house and check?

  • @pacman80301

One Time i Downloaded a Movie and Some People in Black suits Came and Said That I Get One Warning To Stop Downloading Movies! And Guess What? I Didn't!

  • @GOPrEvil The government can do a lot legally without you knowing, its their country they can do what they want if they think its necessary. I mean that factually, I'm not like some conspiracy theorist or anything. If they suspect terrorists, they will read their emails, listen to their phone calls, track their movements. If they suspect illegal downloading, they will watch what you browse, track your torrents etc. Its exactly the same scenario.

Invasion of privacy is not a concern.

  • @GOPrEvil There is but the Corporations don't give a fuck , and you should Look into ACTA its bill to be signed world wide you can vote against you just gotta know what it is google : ACTA

  • @GOPrEvil the goverments at war with the rights of humanity what else is new xD

  • @GOPrEvil When you agree to the terms of service for your isp it automatically veto's that

  • @GOPrEvil

When you connect with other computers you give them your IP address. This is how the internet connects people. If you are doing something illegal, someone who has received your IP address can then get a court order and demand the details of your IP address, personal contact information, name etc... What is illegal is that Internet providers like Comcast now just give away personal information without a trouble, this is a violation of first amendment is some situations.

  • @GOPrEvil Its not eavesdropping if you are shouting and handing out leaflets about what you are doing.

  • @GOPrEvil 1. United States Government is apparently above the law when it comes to the internet. US basically has the internet of the world in its hands

    2. Goodfight the Constitution. I want my Bill-of-Rights RIGHTS back

  • @GOPrEvil

I agree with you but your paying for a service they provide and you agreed to their terms. It is bull though...

  • Your computer is slow! STOP DOWNLOADING PORN!!!

  • :O you didn't read the terms and conditions!

  • how much shuld i download without the peerblock

  • you should wait a while before downloading a new movie that just came out to dvd/blu-ray because they are on the clock like crazy to see how well their sales are doing. when they stop selling a lot after a while...THEN thats when you can try to get it

ur most likely to get caught by the ones who didnt make a lot of money so be careful guys lol

  • @reddmic2008 also warehouse 13 is a trap -.-

  • what my friend does is just stops all of them from seeding so your not actually doin anthin wrong

  • @ChickenSoup16 You are still downloading copyright material without buying it. That's illegal. To share it, is just DOUBLE illegal.

  • what happens when you get caught

  • @claydog322 You get a warning, or a cease and desist, or you get the worst thing of all to have around, a laywer

  • If you get caught and they have something on you downloading they contact your isp.At the moment they only have a ip number nothing else.it,s the court what force them to hand over your details

  • Setup a separate computer for filesharing, the cheapest option is use an old machine you already own or buy used on craigslist. Install Avast anti-virus free edition, utorrent (set it to forced encrypt on outgoing traffic, disable legacy connections, and enable web interface), and peer block. On peer block include in the block ads, educational, p2p, and spyware.

  • Can you use peerblock AND hidemyass-VPN together for extra protection? What if you connect to a server in a country that has no copyright laws. Would that make it legal to download because it''s technically being downloaded in that country?

  • @Jlmaiorana78 No. It's still illegal. Remember, you are still putting it on YOUR harddrive. Which is located in YOUR country. Where it's illegal :)

  • @ samyangful: you're totally wrong, trackers will allow subbed out agencies to find you. I recently was napped by paramount for friends with benefits. It's not even that new of a movie but I didn't start peerguardian that time and tahts all it takes.

  • you dont get nailed from dl but from upload (sharing)

  • @samyangful yup i don't download from torrents but i do upload and i live in a 3rd world country and my speed went downhill! So my only solution is to change my isp. simple as that oh and next time i'll protect myself better!

  • It all depends on what torrent you're downloading too if it's a popular game movie etc the chances of being caught are of course higher but "A friend" ;) downloaded a lot of torrents without using anything at all to protect himself and he got caught for like 4 or 5 because he was stupid and wasn't reading the comments but after that he stopped for a while and when he started downloading again he didn't download any game system torrents like xbox ps3 etc they're simply too high risk

  • @pspkiller888 Good point ;D

  • As you've probably realized the ap2p-organizations already have your ip by the time peerblock will block them for the first time. That's mainly because the tracker knows what you want to download and spreads your ip to other peers who want to download the same. All the peers usually exchange their peer-lists as well, so basically the tracker needs to run the blacklist and all the peers have to make sure they do not exchange peer-lists. No additionaly security added by Peerblock.

  • I wonder. Will this work if I only download one torrent? That's all I need actually.

  • @RaddishIncorporated Yea sure :D

  • ok thanks bro i gave it a thumbs up. i hope ur right....

  • if u were to guess about how much percent does it protect u?

  • @Guero95833 it all depends on how much u are downloading and what you are downloading, if u plan on using torrents use this!

  • @IISH3PH3RDx

I noticed that blocking h.t.t.p slows down my torrents, is allowing h.t.t.p a big risk? Should i keep it enabled or disabled? Thanks!

  • @Guero95833 It also depends on your "lists". The more lists you add, the more layers of protection.

  • does this actually work?

  • @Guero95833 yea, it reduces the risk of you getting caught but it is not 100% gaurenteed u wont get caught when using torrents...

  • your computer is crazy slow

  • @DavidBassMasta why do you think that?

  • Should you only use this program downloading torrents or can you use it when you use the internet?

  • @ComedyDerp1337 i would only use it for torrents personally ;D

  • It doesn't matter where you download them from, just don't vastly download and your fine

  • @soltbolz trust me it does alot of anti copyright organisations such as the MPAA track torrents , especially for big realses.
