All of those military parades the Europeans pull off come from a long tradition of military history when all Europe did was have a war every other week. In the United States we didn't have that sort of problem. Our army, navy, whatever, has historically as well as, arguably, traditionally, been very small and unnoticed. It wasn't until the Spanish-American War and then finally World War II that our military became powerful.

On accasion when they stop and commence walk leg goes as high as persons neckline. Perfection is what it is i guess they all have problems with hip joints at later age :). I've seen marines one they are not as demanding as this but also concetrate of perfection of movement. Each military core has their own way of movement.

Korean War wasn't a loss either, it was a stalemate & the other side lost more than the UN side. Iraq is not a loss, & the Iraqis themselves have to stop blowing each other up etc. & the foreign Al-Quida jerks need to/are being ejected from Iraq. USA entered WWII in Dec. 1941 & entered N. African/med. Theater in Nov. 1942. You have some things confused.

@gratamata, I don't know what you mean, but it was considered by Brtiain, the USA & USSR to send some USA & Brit ground combat troops to the USSR - we sent thousands of military & civilain technicians etc. - but in 1941 & 1942 Brtain was already stretched thin in Africa, Europe & the Pacific, & the USA's army was small & the troops were needed in the Pacific & then Africa.

@gratamata, However, the USA & Britain did offer to send a couple of Divisions I do believe - all that could be spared at that time - but it was decided not to because there would have been control probs. USA & Brtiain sent tremendous amounts of military equipment & finished & raw materials to the USSR, including uranium for Stalin's nuke project. Both Stalin & Zhukov stated the aid was vital & without it things may have been differnt for some time.

@gratamata, The Soviets used many USA Wright Cyclone radial aircraft engines & used a derivative/copy in the I-15 & I-16. The USA Chistie tank was bought by the USSR & the BT series was derived form it & the T-34 was derived from the BT series. USA helped build the USSR's largest tractor/tank plants before WWII & its largets - Gaz/Ford - truck plant, & one USA engineer was awarded the Order of Lenin. The USSR did not have experience of building such large factories prewar.

yes but hitlers soldiers also lost battles in Stalingrad and had no chance to take over Moscow, when Katjusha was shooting nothing was left on the fields...it was a good weapon to defend moscow. If German Soldiers would win the battle in Stalingrad they would get more suplies from Germany and would be able to take over Moscow...if the war wouldn't end 45 the germans would have the best Air Craft and the Chance to bomb from over 10km high.

the katjushkas were some great weapon..hitler should have waited longer till he had the jet (ME200?) and the Stgw40 as standard..
but by 1942,after stalingrad and el alamein, the war was decided, it was just a matter of years for hitler to fall.
but at least they fought to the bitter end..as a man should (so would have you, im sure)
