Man we have similar taste. I feel the same way regarding Metallica not being worth shit after Justice. The black album IMO was just OK, but it seems that's the album that started making them a household name. I pretty much tuned out after that.
Now as far as the 80s (which is when I grew up) I will say that Metallica was my favorite of the 2, but now, Megadeth, cuz they're still crushing skulls instead of playing faggot shit.

Endgame is a coloss of an album in every way, the technical stuff is pretty unmatched, because Chris is so extremely good that Dave was just able to use him for whatever ideas he had, Chris probably could play everything, however it's not his stuff, because Mustaine's credited in almost every song. Also the lyrics and the symbolic is pretty important I think.

Endgame kicked ass compared to Death Magnetic. I've liked both bands for a very long time, and I have to say that Megadeth can make much better songs than Metallica now, they have been for a while! And Metallica has been ripping of Megadeths work in case any of you Metallifag's have not noticed, I mean honestly before you argue that look at some of the album art, and compare songs. Endgame is a terrible album. Most of the songs are Metallica rip-offs and fillers with little creativity on Dave's part. I've always hated Megadeth, but Endgame really took the cake, right next to Risk.

Death Magnetic was made too just to placate thrashers. It's a good album but it seems more as if a Hetfield and Ulirich project, not Metallica. Endgame has the elements of what composes Megadeth. Endgame is just proof Mustaine is a force of nature and genius.

Both bands have grown stylewise, but MegadetH has stayed thrash, Metallica more heavy. And personally,I do get tired of 6 minute plus songs. MegadetH hasnt really done this,and thats the i got turned off by Death Magentic because alot of the songs are too long.

They know people are coming for Fade to Black, Seek and Destroy, etc. Most people at their shows are not true fans, they are greatest hits fans. Megadeth has done the same in the big four shows, just playing hits because that's all the Metallica fans know of Megadeth, so Dave is making them happy. Metallica doesn't really play Load/Re-load/St.Anger material much.

I'm a fan of both, and I have to agree with you that Megadeth still "has". If you look over the careers of both bands, Dave has been cranking out more volume and quality for years. He's been fighting those "Metallica is better than you" and "you're second best" demons for years. So, maybe the angst against those stigmas has given the world the best metal ever (or his ability to creatively channel that angst). His Victory has been a long and hard fought.
@RedDragonAirsoft If I remember correctly, he tried out for GNR back in 1994 and was offered the gig. He quickly demanded 2 million dollars and Axl said "no". Who's to say that he wouldn't demand more now? Besides, after almost 30 years, I think Kirk, barring death or serious permanent injury, is pretty there for life.

Man we have similar taste. I feel the same way regarding Metallica not being worth shit after Justice. The black album IMO was just OK, but it seems that's the album that started making them a household name. I pretty much tuned out after that.
Now as far as the 80s (which is when I grew up) I will say that Metallica was my favorite of the 2, but now, Megadeth, cuz they're still crushing skulls instead of playing faggot shit.

Endgame is a coloss of an album in every way, the technical stuff is pretty unmatched, because Chris is so extremely good that Dave was just able to use him for whatever ideas he had, Chris probably could play everything, however it's not his stuff, because Mustaine's credited in almost every song. Also the lyrics and the symbolic is pretty important I think.
Though I agree with you and I see what you tried to do with this video, but I'd question myself if it doesn't only feed the flame..?

Endgame kicked ass compared to Death Magnetic. I've liked both bands for a very long time, and I have to say that Megadeth can make much better songs than Metallica now, they have been for a while! And Metallica has been ripping of Megadeths work in case any of you Metallifag's have not noticed, I mean honestly before you argue that look at some of the album art, and compare songs. Metallica just isn't good any more, yes they'll always be a classic, but not if they keep producing pure crap!

Endgame is a terrible album. Most of the songs are Metallica rip-offs and fillers with little creativity on Dave's part. I've always hated Megadeth, but Endgame really took the cake, right next to Risk.

Death Magnetic was made too just to placate thrashers. It's a good album but it seems more as if a Hetfield and Ulirich project, not Metallica. Endgame has the elements of what composes Megadeth. Endgame is just proof Mustaine is a force of nature and genius.

@RedDragonAirsoft , I would say that as a MegadetH fan since 1988, I can see the logic a little bit. BUT I would say that it is much more STYLE of sound rather than maturing. Both bands have grown stylewise, but MegadetH has stayed thrash, Metallica more heavy. And personally,I do get tired of 6 minute plus songs. MegadetH hasnt really done this,and thats the i got turned off by Death Magentic because alot of the songs are too long.

They know people are coming for Fade to Black, Seek and Destroy, etc. Most people at their shows are not true fans, they are greatest hits fans. Megadeth has done the same in the big four shows, just playing hits because that's all the Metallica fans know of Megadeth, so Dave is making them happy. Metallica doesn't really play Load/Re-load/St.Anger material much.

Megadeth keeps thrash alive...Metallica has shown their age has caught up to them. Megadeth is fucking amazing but nothing beats old Metallica...I've been a fan of both throughout the years..they both are great metal bands...just one band is running out of gas. \m/

@MrAlexofMetal both albums are great but endgame takes us back to thrash metal as we know it....metallica cannot make music that sounds like back in the day because of james voice and they try to hard.... i saw the making of death magnetic and lars tries too hard.... he wants everthing to be just right.... endgame is just like " shut the hell up and play!!!"

i dont get the metallica shirt. what does that have to do with death magnetic? or metallica at all?.god damn thats what i hate about metallica theyre just a bunch of sell outs and would put abnything on a shirt to make money. and dont try to use the excuse "what does a shark have to do with megadeth?" if u look closley whats really in the water is a nuclear bomb.

I'm a fan of both, and I have to agree with you that Megadeth still "has". If you look over the careers of both bands, Dave has been cranking out more volume and quality for years. He's been fighting those "Metallica is better than you" and "you're second best" demons for years. So, maybe the angst against those stigmas has given the world the best metal ever (or his ability to creatively channel that angst). His Victory has been a long and hard fought.

@RedDragonAirsoft If I remember correctly, he tried out for GNR back in 1994 and was offered the gig. He quickly demanded 2 million dollars and Axl said "no". Who's to say that he wouldn't demand more now? Besides, after almost 30 years, I think Kirk, barring death or serious permanent injury, is pretty there for life.

Endgame is my fav Megadeth, its the modern version of killing is my buseniss,
they also has some riffs from love you to deth / set the world a fire. which i think is awsume, i can,t wait for next album! really hope they make it even heavier ! but yeah they must take their time! dont rush it.. and i hope they also make more making of videos , if there gonna make their next album..

I love Megadeth but I just can't get into new Megadeth. Dave Mustaine's born again Christianity and necon politics takes away from what Megadeth was originally all about. Musically Dave Mustaine is still the shit, and I am very happy they are going back to real thrash no more cryptic/risk bullshit. When I hear songs such as Washington is next it pisses me off to where I can't even enjoy it.
