At 105mm on both lenses it is hard to see much difference in resolution.
24-105 Has more contrast and displays generally less chromatic aberration. In video Production you get what your pay for. However more importantly its not about what you have, its how you use it.

DAYUM that is sharp. Would you say there's much difference between the 24-105mm and the 17-40mm? I'm just thinking about the price.

I believe i used a simple vignette in Final Cut Pro
Simply go to Video Filters / Stylize / Vignette
Then make adjustments in your viewer.
