@woodyamsterdam tnx very much!hope i dont get annoying with all my questions :P, cuz i like ur style very much and i already learn quite a few from u and ur covers :D
Although this is a great song (and very daring lyrically, at least for 1976), I've never been totally convinced by the album version. There are far better live versions kicking around.
Plug in your instrument, start the camera and the backing track and play along! It can be a pain first to find the right balance between you and the backing track, so once you have found it, make a note of your settings.
Awesome! I don't know why, but the Eastwood sounds better here than any other clip I've seen you do. Maybe because of the pan trick? Not sure, but it sounds pretty ace to me. Check out my Durango 95 cover? :B
No, just for fun. I have some health issues that would make it very hard to function in a full-time touring cover band. Jamming with some like minded guys would be great though.
Playing with Marky (and maybe C.J.) oh man, that would be a dream come true:)
Another great song from that first album! I think Dee Dee's verse is one of the greatest in punk rock! Excellent guitar work as always, and I think you may be the new Johnny Ramone! I agree with sufkiller, you make this look so easy! Rock on, my friend!
When I visted New York in 2007. We just happened to stay at the Courtyard by Marriot almost right at the corner of 53rd and 3rd. It is a nice mid-town business district now with shiny hotels and office buildings and of course a Duane Reade drug store right on the corner. Stark contrast to the 53rd and 3rd that Dee Dee wrote about. Excellent song and Fantastic Cover! Rock at its best!
Oh man, that's awesome. A pilgrimage to Queens is still high on my to-do-list. I've already seen images of the neighborhood on Google Streetview and in the 'End of the Century' docu, but actually walking around there would be a very deep experience.
Too bad NYC is nothing like what it used to be. Forest Hills is probably still about the same, it is a suburb after all. CBGBs is no more, no more sleazy NYC just disney world garbage, RIP.
at the intro, did u use open chords?

@Ablutophobic
No, it's a copy from Eastwood but with a few mods to get the sound closer to the original.

But as usual, a great cover.

Thanks, and I agree that usually the live versions are better. "It's Alive" is still for me the best live album.

Probably it's the pan-trick but I also changed my method of EQ'ing during post processing.
I'm gonna check out your Durango 95 now;)
