One of the great symphonies of our time (OK maybe 1978 is long ago for some but not for me). It beats the crap out of all the MTV-style auto-tune bubblegum crap that kids listen to lately. Music should be made by real musicians with hard-earned talent, not some pubesent tweenie backed by big money and greedy labels. Fuck that, Rush is the real deal! Hemispheres is one of the best albums of the last few decades. (just wish they had chosen a photo without that naked guy standing on a brain)
Spinning vinyl, I remember that, though I haven't seen it in a long time! Ya, I'm old. :) Not seen a spinning Hemispheres picture disc, though. I have one, but I never put it on the turntable. It's strangely hypnotic. La Villa rocks!
@professorfoxtrot The labeling on the packaging states that the sound quality is not be as good as the regular pressing. I nearly bought a picturedisc back in the day (1980s) but decided against it when I read that label. They seem to have more noise/hiss.
@gunman407 that's not true. Watch the documentary "Beyond The Lighted Stage". The band talks about when they wrote the song they realized that it was too hard for them to play in one take so they broke it into three parts. (like Ryan0170 already mentioned) It took them 11 days, not 1 take.
@beamismyfreind it's o.k man sometimes people are blinded by religion, like myself. Then.... I learned the real truth behind Christianity which was my religion. One thing different about my situation is that I wasn't willing to give up listening to great bands like Rush.
kinda weird how the front cover picture would be for side 2 of the album

Nice find on the picturedisc! Do you know if it was made from the original Hemispheres stampers?

Awesome song, and the entire thing was done in one take if I remember correctly. A masterpiece of modern music (relatively).

@gunman407 They tried to record it in 1 take but had to break it into 3. It took them 11 days to record just this song.
