people all have different definiton from this mv. The definition I understand is the gril and the guy both like each other, but they never have the chance to talk to each other. The girl found a chace when they were in the lift and at that point she have alrealy know she is dieing from some kind of illness. They have been together for three years after that lift trip and because the girl know she is dieing soon, that is why she decide to leave the guy.
